What are your plans for new years? As H said, "cheat day" of eating whatever we want, watch a movie, and fall asleep by 9, hahaha
Do you have any NYE traditions? Nope. I've never once actually done anything for NYE. Oh well...
Do you have any resolutions? I was just thinking about this. I think for the first time ever, nah. Have a healthy baby about covers it.

- My sister is hosting a get together and dinner so we plan to spend the new year with her and the family.
- We always eat 12 grapes at midnight for health and goodness for each month of the new year.
- I am not very good at keeping my resolutions, but last year I said I would do 1 5K per month, I didn't do 1 per month, but I did manage to complete 12 5Ks for the year. For 2017, I want to walk 12 miles per week.

This year I hope to read more. I read a lot before having DD and then stopped for a few years. I started again this summer, read 2 books, and fell off the wagon again. I also hope to eat a bit better. I was doing a decent job before Christmas aided by food aversions. A lot of my aversions have gone away and I'm still binging on Christmas treats. Time to throw them out.

What are your plans for New Year's? DH is likely to have to work until 1am so DD and I might go to a party at a friend's house, fortunately this friend is also pregnant and has a daughter around DD's age and a few of our other friends are sober so it won't feel weird to be the only person without a drink.
Do you have any NYE traditions? Not really, as a kid my family of 4 would stay up and watch the ball drop and when we got older my parents would let us have a drink with them. As an adult NYE has been less than eventful because of work or DH's overall hatred for holidays (he's come a long way, but there's been many fights about not being a killjoy).
Do you have any resolutions? Normally I think they are a bit silly, but after reading something online, my resolution this year is to stop saying 'sorry' so much and instead say 'thank you.'
DH and I plan to stay up until midnight to ring in the new year by watching the ball drop on tv... nothing too exciting.

Traditions: None really. We actually met on NYE 4 years ago, so it's kind of an anniversary for us. But we just do whatever. Last year we cancelled our plans at the last second and stayed in and ate steak and watched movies.
Resolutions: I haven't really made any yet! I like the idea of reading more, but that won't happen until I graduate in May, since all my free reading time is spent on school. I need to get on a bit healthier eating routine - it would be good for me and baby as well as MH.
What are your plans for new years? We don't have any at this point, although we may go up to the mountains with some friends. They do a firework show that sounds like it could be fun!
Do you have any NYE traditions? I have never been a big fan of New Years, even when I don't have to be sober. I would rather lay low... staying home and playing games with friends is my idea of a fun NYE.
Do you have any resolutions? I don't make resolutions, but I do love goal setting for the upcoming year (I actually try to do this on a monthly basis.) Similar to @NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot, I used to be a big reader and rarely make time for it now, so that will be on the list for sure. I also want to work on being more organized and also make an effort to be more present with my family!
What are your plans for new years? This year our church has a squawk night with a dance afterwards. DH will play in the backup band, but I plan on going home and to bed after the show ends (about 9:00) and I know he'll join me. I've never been a late night person and the idea of staying up past 9:30 (let alone midnight) just doesn't sound appealing to me
Do you have any NYE traditions? If we stay up, DH and I share a midnight kiss, but really the last two years we stayed home and went to bed at 10:00. Probably my 2 favorite NYE's ever. Lol.
Do you have any resolutions? Like @livin541 said, I tend to be a monthly goal setter. My personal goals will probably be to take back my mornings and make them more effective. We're also starting a new business, so that will be a big focus for 2017. I also like what @nda_roxybabe said about having a healthy baby. That seems like a pretty good goal to me.
Do you have NYE traditions? typically DH and I help at a New Year's Eve party for our high school youth group and some other local groups (150-250 teens!) but since I work this year DH will rock it by himself.
Resolutions? I would like to be more active, get out and do something a couple times and a week. I would also like to do better at savings and getting cards all paid off. We will end up emptying our savings for a missions trip this summer so I would to build it back up quickly. Oh and do a house Reno next year!
Do you have NYE traditions? My family also does the 12 grapes at midnight. We also take the train to the same restaurant every year to eat.
Resolutions? Eat better and get DD to not be so picky.
What are your plans for new years? Our city hold a free family event. It may rain but hopefully not. We don't like to go anywhere we have to drive. TOo scary with all the drunk drivers out there.
Do you have any NYE traditions? We go to the same event every year. That's it. And we are usually asleep my midnight
Do you have any resolutions? Not really... I'd like to maintain my 15,000 step a day goal and no more sunflower seeds haha
What are your plans for new years? Movie night with my pregnant best friend and her 20 month old while our husbands go out with a big group of friends. We did this last year, too, and it's a lot of fun! I used to be a big NYE person, but I'm almost 2 years sober so it's not really my holiday anymore.
Do you have any NYE traditions? Pork and sauerkraut on New Year's Day for good luck.
Do you have any resolutions? I want to read the New Testament. The camp DH runs is a Methodist camp, and I feel like I don't know nearly as much about religion as I should. I'm also going to do the frugalwoods uber frugal month in January. No fitness goals until after the baby comes out!

i generally don't make resolutions. This year I'd like to budget our money better. Become a better homemaker.
My parents have a house near the beach that is open year-round so we go there for New Years with them and it's nice and quiet!
We ususally make a really delicious, over the top dinner and I try and stay awake until midnight (it usually doesn't happen, especially since having DD).
After I have the baby I want to get back into running. I also have a few career goals I want to try and move towards!

What are your plans for New Year's? Family gathering at dad's house. Probably sleep before midnight.
Do you have any NYE traditions? for the last 3-4 years, my dad has been hosting a party with all of our family in town (aunt, uncles, cousins). Dad does tons of wings in his firehouse pub sauce and everyone else brings a dish. We usually get a big group to play cards against humanity too. That was fun with my Christian school teacher aunt!
Do you have any resolutions? Normally no, but for next year it is to save more and spend less on junk I don't need. Buy a house in the spring/summer and get my pre-baby, pre-wedding body back!

What are your plans for new years?
No plans. I'm at our family ski house with my mom, sister, BIL, and DS. DH is in Utah skiing with college friends so we're not even together to share a midnight kiss. Before we left I told him I'd be sad at midnight when I couldn't kiss him and then was like "wait no I won't be sad, I'll be asleep." So I think my mom will make dinner here and then I'll probably be in bed before 10.

Nope. I was really into NYE as a kid and later as an underage drinkers attending house parties. Once I hit 21 or 22 I was pretty over it.
Do you have any resolutions?
Besides stealing @mcvgal's resolution to walk 12 miles per week, I'm reusing my resolution from last year which was to do at least one date night with DH every month. We ALMOST made it last year,- we got every month but October. I know it will be hard with the new baby, but having that resolution/goal really forced me to be proactive about finding a sitter and planning something every month. We don't have any family nearby so we have to really plan ahead to get care for DS and without having a monthly goal it was really easy to let that go by the wayside.
What are your plans for new years?
Most likely staying in and I'll probably fall asleep on the couch like always, but I'll get up for the ball drop. We might go to the neighborhood community down the street. They sometimes have special events and what not, so I'm looking into that.

Kiss at midnight. We, also, eat pork and sauerkraut for good luck! I only eat a spoonful of the sauerkraut because I'm not a huge fan of it!

We always say we will try something new, whether it's a new restaurant or activity, which is always fun. Oh, and the dreaded do better with finances, especially with new baby boy coming!
I saw a post on fb or Pinterest about having a jar and putting at least one good thing that happened that week in it and then reading them all at the end of the year. I'd like to try that...maybe that would become more of a tradition than a resolution though.

What are your plans for new years? I'm staying home and working on a painting for DD's room, DH is watching hockey, and DD is wrestling with the dog. We're party animals!

What are your plans for new years? My parents got into town today, and I made dinner for everyone. I had to sit through the Clemson/Ohio State game until hubs went to shower and I quickly switched over to Law and Order SVU.
Do you have any NYE traditions? No traditions... Unless you count going to bed at a granny-worthy hour every year and totally disregarding the holiday.
Do you have any resolutions? It's not exactly a resolution, but I have a 'goal' for 2017 of participating in a Turkey Trot fun run/5K at Thanksgiving. I think that will give me good incentive to bounce back after the baby.
What are your plans for new years? NADA... DH is working, and I'm in that limbo where I don't have any kids yet for the family excitement parties and I have no desire to go to a bar. So I'm perfectly happy watching TV and hanging out at home!
Do you have any NYE traditions? We really don't have any, I worked as a server for years and wasn't able to celebrate and my husband's a fireman so he works often... I guess in 8 years together we have maybe celebrated 2 together...
