  • I think if you stuck to it hard core you (no slip ups) you could drop 2 pounds a week.  I would aim more for 1 pound a week though.  The first couple of weeks the pounds fly off.  Then it is more slow and steady wins the race.  Pre-baby and in my 20s I lost about 65 pounds in about 7 months.  I was psycho about it though.

  • A healthly weekly loss for your body is 2 pounds a week.

If you are curious, you can sign up for www.sparkpeople.com and it'll tell you what you can lose by what date. I track my daily eating on there and have lost weight successfully once pre-pg. and i'm doing it now again and so far so good! (I lost 2 pounds last week!)

  • We just got the Wii Fit and my goal is 1.8 lbs every two weeks, which I think is realistic.

That means in six months, I'll be 22 lbs lighter! (yeah, right. Confused

  • It will also depend on if you are really overweight and have alot to lose or if you just would like to drop a few pounds.  The heavier you are, the easier it will be to drop pounds fast the first couple of weeks.  However if you just need to lose a few pounds, I would look at maybe 1lbs a week at first and then it slowing down some after a couple of weeks.
  • One or two pounds per week is the average, I think.  But I could be wrong.  That said, I started Weight Watchers on April 24, 2008 and I'd lost 42 lbs by October 24, 2008.  Most weeks I lost 1-2 lbs and there were a couple of weeks when I lost 3-4, but that's odd, I think.
