Spotting at 5 weeks

I started spotting last week Wens and its been off an on ever since. I didn't have any last night but it came back this morning. I"m hoping the progesterone pill I'm taking will stop it. It just makes me nervous. I didn't have this with DD. Anyone else spotting?

I had spotting at 5 weeks with ds, and I thought it was my period. Then when I took my hpt and it was positive I was worried. A week later I passed a large clot and thought I lost him. He's 3 now and all was well

aw your baby is cute! I had my period right on time early December. Pretty sure it must have been when I ovulated in November when we conceived. I just can't wait until it stops so I don't have that worry in the back of my mind.

I spotted for 9 days from 6w with my first baby, and this time around same thing! On and off spotting starting at 6w. It can be so worrisome!

well I spoke to soon - it came back this evening! I keep having this sinking feeling something bad is going to happen. We were going thru fertility testing and I didn't know I was pregnant and had the HSG done. I took a test myself that day and it came back negative. I was 3 weeks then. I keep thinking that the dye they shot up there messed up the embryo even though my OB assures me it hasn't. I don't get an U/S until Jan 12 - that's like forever! I get my betas tested again tomorrow.

Keep us posted! Praying for super high betas for you! Will they retest your progesterone again too to see how the pills have been working? My OB only tests it once and I think that's dumb. Good luck!

I will. I should know by tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping they have increased and I will feel better. The fact that I feel fantastic today doesn't help because I don't feel pregnant. I'm just slowly loosing my mind. I just called the radiology dept at the hospital I had the HSG done and left a message. I want to hear what they have to say about it.

Well I only took 1 progesterone pill and it did a number on my body so I called the doctor and let her know how it affected me and they are going to see if I can use a cream instead. They say the spotting may not even be related to the progesterone.

@secicc12 - sorry I've been MIA HCG results were a tad lower than the previous draw. She said that I will have a chemical pregnancy. I have no idea what to expect. I went in for another draw this morning. Spotting is still the same. It got a tad heavier the last couple days but not pad worthy just pantyliner. Its back to very light again today. I'm very emotionally tired from the ups and downs of the past couple weeks but I'm getting there. Thanks for thinking of me

yes me too but I'm ready for the blood draws to stop. I've had 4 in the last 2 weeks. I think I"m going to take a month break from TTC - this whole process is too much for me. I scheduled a half day at the spa next week. I really want to clean the house and put all the decor away. I'm ready to start anew in 2017.

I'm having a hard time not blaming myself tonight. Even though the doc said that HSG procedure didn't harm anything.

It's not your fault @vlagrl29. Don't blame yourself. I know this doesn't help, but CPs are very common, nothing you did caused it. I'm so sorry.

It is not your fault! Chemical pregnancies and miscarriages just happen, unfortunately, and they are in no way a shortcoming of the mother. Be gentle with yourself in the coming days. Hugs!
