  • I feel like I'm waiting for the day this kid knocks his head so hard it breaks my water. I know it won't happen but damn kid, take it easy down there.

  • Feeling pukey at night but only when laying down, like my food is just sitting in my throat waiting for me to cough so it can all come up; is that indigestion? Whatever it is, I hate it!

This is me too - I think it's acid reflux. I prop myself up with 3-4 pillows to start the night then as I wake up throughout the night I remove a pillow

  • @datalover13 I'm right there with you! Some days I think she is going to break my cervix!

Having the same issue. With shortness of breath and just all around uncomfortableness.
  • Heart burn with a vengeance. Gas and more gas and moooooody. I wake up sad and go to bed angry for no reason..
  • Carpal tunnel continues to be terrible in my right hand &  horrible indigestion/refulx which I know is half my fault for eating too much at once all the time.  Still have some hemorrhoid issues but they are bothering me less.  Overall I can't complain too much.

I have been having trouble sleeping on my sides as well. I fall asleep on my left side but I keep waking up on my back! Not sure how I keep managing to get into that position with my Snoogle on the bed!

  • Super ramped up anxiety over here this week. Need to take a chill pill and relax.
  • I have to be careful to not bend over directly after eating. Otherwise I start coughing and gagging and getting pukey. I feel like the food is digesting so slowly that when I bend, my intestines get squeezed and the food shoots right back up. Really lovely.
  • @SienaC Exact same thing! I fall asleep on my side and wake up on my back with my snoogle pillow all twisted around me. I keep hearing/reading that sleeping on your back is bad for both mom and baby at a certain point, but I can't help that I turn that way while asleep!
  • @SienaC @longliveregina That's what I wanted to call it, but I don't have any actual discomfort or pain (thank goodness), like acid actually coming up...just old food :s At least I can put a name to it!
  • @MrsFlemingo It doesn't always feel like actual acid for me either. I mean, sometimes it does, but not always! I think you described it perfectly with "like my food is just sitting in my throat waiting for me to cough so it can all come up". From what I have heard/read your esophagus can become relaxed during pregnancy and that can cause the reflux/regurgitation feeling  :s

Do hemroids go away eventually? Asking for a friend...... ☺️ Also I can't sleep. Between the peeing, the anxiety, heart burn, restless legs, and the fact the baby likes to practice his Ninja moves all night long, I'm getting about 3 hours. I wake up at 3 am and then fall back asleep around 6 and when my alarm goes off at 7:30 I'm a raging bitchy zombie. I wonder if I should just stay awake.
  • I am recovering from food poisoning (2nd annual Christmas food poisoning! What the heck.) so I've lost track of which symptoms are pregnancy and which symptoms are horrible-deathly-dehydrating-aaaah-I-am-never-eating-food-again ones. Blah. God bless Gatorade, which was the only thing I could keep down. In good news... my panic over the nursery not being done, and my very pathetic, weak, food-poisoned self, were enough to freak out my husband. So he put the crib together tonight!!! Victory, I guess...

Yes and no. They do get better if you take care of tgem and are careful not to irritate it. But even after they heal all it might take us one bad poop and *pop* the vein swells back out again. It's kind of like a vericose vein, the damage is done. You can have surgery to remove the offending hemi if they are really bad or bleed a lot, but it's a pretty big deal and involves a hospital stay from what I understand.

I have been lucky enough to avoid them with both my pregnancies. A close friend is 2yrs post partum with her DD in March, and they are still a big issue for her.  And, the main reason she refuses to get pregnant again quite yet. :(
  • @BaylieGirl hemorrhoids are the gift that keeps on giving. Luckily they can be manageable, but as a word of warning, they will only get worse before they get better (mine were very bad after pushing during labour). Now I have minimal issues, even in pregnancy right now they are not bothersome - I thought they would be way worse this second pregnancy but I was happily mistaken.

  • my pubic bone has been killing me! she keeps wedging herself into long lasting uncomfortable positions  :s also, I swelled so much last night I had to take my socks off mid-sleep because they were hurting my ankles. I drink over a gallon of water a day easily so idk what you want from me cankles!
  • I'm feeling tight (Braxton hicks??) and nauseous. I feel like this little girl is using my stomach as a punching bag. Or more likely as something fun to kick...think those are feet up top!

I don't know a whole lot about the symptoms, ect. but I just wanted to throw it out there that a hemorrhoidectomy can be done on an outpatient basis now! I know we've done them occasionally at my work but it could depend on the severity.

  • LO is breech and tap dancing on my bladder/cervix. I got up to "pee" drained my 1oz of liquid to lay down and immediately feel like I have to pee again all night last night. I finally gave up trying to go back to sleep at 3am. Hoping I will get some sleeeeep tonight!
  • I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure that my left boob is leaking! I'm only 28 weeks! Is anyone else leaking already?!

I also have the pukey/acid reflux/heartburn feeling especially when I lay down & a bit after eating. And having to wake up 3+ times a night now to pee is just delightful.

  • @SienaC yes both my boob's have been leaking since about 22 weeks
  • @SienaC yep, both mine have been leaking for several weeks now. Usually happens at night or first thing in the morning, and it's not a ton. It was just super unexpected! I expected it after, of course, or even like a couple weeks before baby came, but certainly not as early as it started for me!

  • I think I'm losing it. Hormones all over the place and I spent the morning sobbing/puking/peeing my pants. 10 more weeks seems like a very long time right now. Tomorrow is a new day... and a new year. So new year, new me?!

  • yep decided to "free ball" it getting out of my shower and not wear a tank top under my sweatshirt. Started leaking a little... bring back the tank top  :/

I thought the same thing! The last two nights I have slept in a soft shirt with no bra and when I woke up I noticed small stains on my shirt! The first time I just thought I had spilled something and didn't notice but this morning I was positive I hadn't spilled anything! Dang there is so much I didn't know about pregnancy!!

  • Whenever baby starts pumping out estrogen/androgen it stimulates you to start the milk machine. So leaking...totally normal. (no leaking is also normal)

  • I got lucky and didn't have morning sickness at all in the first part of my pregnancy, but lately I've been getting it and this morning in the middle of brunch at a restaurant with my family I puked (2nd time today, 1st was at 4am) ...at least I made it to the bathroom in time, but is this normal?? The first time it happened was Christmas Eve when I was at work, I just am wondering if I'll have this to look forward to for the remaining time :/

@serenity13 I'd mention it to your doc. Its pretty normal to get nauseous again near the end with organs getting squished--and some women puke through the whole thing-but vomiting now since you hadnt the whole time sounds strange to me. I'd be more likely to guess a stomach bug or something you ate.

ETA-were the times you threw up when you had an empty stomach? I have noticed my nausea appearing again when I go too long without eating. --again, not actually vomiting, but feeling unsettled.
  • thank you @kjd291! I've felt queasy off & on the last 2-3 weeks both after eating & also on an empty stomach, but the two days I've actually puked have been the mornings after we've gone out to dinner and so maybe it is something I ate (same restaurant/meal...I just am now realizing this lol) so if we go there again I'll switch up my order since idk what could be triggering it but hopefully it won't happen again. I've definitely felt the need to spit/almost throw up when I'm laying down or in the middle of the night at other times (just had it now actually) and I'm pretty sure it's acid reflux/heartburn but I'll mention it all to my dr and see if there's anything I should be doing differently...

  • I too have experienced my boobs starting to leak. I was surprised because I'm a FTM and wasn't expecting anything til close or after delivery! Has anyone else had really intense pelvic pressure where it hurts/ pressure on one or both sides of your lady parts?
  • @seangle2005 yes I have had that for several weeks - I wear a support belt and it has seemed to help somewhat
