How did you do with your goals last week?

  • Goals- add in some yoga, keep up with meal prep

    last week- meals were not the best... I'm having a hard time finding anything appetizing. Not so much nauseous just no appetite. Running was okay, my distance is coming back but also wipes me out the rest of the day. 

    Exhaustion is hit or miss. I have now had three friends deal with mc in the past couple weeks. I try not to overthink things. That my lack of symptoms is fine. 

    Rant- I have to wear two sport bras to run now. And I hate zipper front ones. The zipper never stays up. They do seem more supportive but that damn zipper needs to stay up. 

    Gtky- nuts and cheese. With my wine intact down, my cheese intact has skyrocketed.

    Fitness and Nutrition Goals for the week?

    I hope to start yoga this week but my gym has a limited schedule with staff out for the holidays :(

    How did you do with your goals last week?

    I haven't really set any fitness goals yet because of a MC around this point last time so I have just been taking it easy. Definitely eating much healthier than a couple weeks ago and not just because of the baby, but DH wants/needs to get back in shape and our diets have slipped from cooking all meals to eating out.

    If nausea or exhaustion has hit you, how are you coping to stay on track fitness-wise?

    I definitely eat more smaller meals a day and that has helped keep me at least walking around and not wanting to lay in bed all day.

    Questions/Rants/Rave?

    The holidays make it so hard to attend classes since they are minimal! I definitely need to work on yoga sequences alone so I can continue when classes aren't happening.

    I love cheese and cashews!

    Fitness and nutrition goals- I realize that weight loss is not approved for during pregnancy, but I started Weight Watchers a couple weeks ago, prior to finding out about le babeh.  I've always been good at going to the gym, but sometimes my food intake gets out of control.  I'm hoping to still use WW loosely, in the spirit of having some healthier meals for lunch/ breakfast, and to make sure I get more veggies, etc, in my diet.  My midwife seems to think I'm a prime candidate for GD, even though I didn't have it with DS, so I'd like to be proactive.

    Last week- Goals for last week?  That's funny.  Mostly just not over stuffing my face, which I think I accomplished.

    Nausea- No major nausea yet, but I'm sure it's coming.  With DS, I just did the best I could.  If I felt okay, I went to  the gym.  If I didn't, I didn't force it.  

    Qs/ R/R:  Nope.  I'm really excited to see a healthy thread on here, though.

    GTKY-  Dinner?  I usually go to the gym right after work, and eat dinner afterwards.  If I'm hungry, I like Luna bars post-workout.

    Nausea is worse in the morning, so I'm trying to get my fitness workout in the afternoon

    lay off the sweets from the holidays all over the place at work and no snacking at night! And keep up the workout videos.

    pretty good! Worked out 5 of 7 days and had a kale nutribullet shake 6 of 7 days  buuuttttt I also ate my face off on some of those days. So I guess win some and lose some! 

    If nausea or exhaustion has hit you, how are you coping to stay on track fitness-wise?

    no nausea.  Didn't have it with DS either.  And the exhaustion hits at night so if I work out before work in the morning I am pretty good :)

    Ugh.  The constipation and the bloat are real:(  as far as raves, I made this cauliflower "potato" soup last night and it was light and amazing!

    Usually don't have one since I work out in the morning.

    Start back up with 21 day fix after about 10 days off from traveling over the holidays

    Didn't work out at all and ate lots of Christmas candies and junk!

    I'm recovering from a cold so I haven't been eating much and no energy to exercise yet. Hoping to get in some yoga and walking soon. I'm going to start logging my food in MyFitnessPal too.


    How did you do with your goals last week?
    Horrible, as usual at my parents' house.


    If nausea or exhaustion has hit you, how are you coping to stay on track fitness-wise?
    Luckily, no nausea so far. That took me out of the game last pregnancy. Just got to get over this cold so I will have more energy.

    Do any of you ladies have a protein shake you recommend? I just read on my current protein to not take while pregnant. I've been looking into the ancient nutrition bone broth protein powder. Anyone have experience with that brand?

    I didn't make any! But things went okay.

    I don't have nausea, but I do have fatigue. I just tell myself it's better to go while tired, and just take it easy, than not go at all! Also, my fatigue lessens for a little while after a workout!

    I am enjoying my days off from work so much! Lounging around with my dogs is great :)

    @lyndshurt I do the bone broth protein! I have made nutribullet shakes for DH and I for breakfast for years and my DC recommended the ancient nutrition products about 6 months ago. I have only had the vanilla tho, but I really like it! I always add green superfood powder to all the fruits and veggies too, for some extra flavor and kick. The protein is pretty pricey but I don't use a full scoop. My DC said that it's so potent and it in itself is a superfood so one person only needs 1/4 scoop. So we just use 1/2 scoop total per day. Helps it last longer too;)

    Meh. My goals morphed into just surviving because the nausea is so bad.

    I don't knowwww. Not coping well right now. I mean, I'm not overeating since nothing sounds good, but I am definitely not eating well either.

    Is it okay to just surrender to not working out while I'm so nauseous? I'm trying to not feel guilty.

    I'm usually just all about chugging that water when I'm done.
