Hey ladies, sorry I've been quiet the past 2 days. Had some extra discharge that had a bit of old blood in it and babies felt really low, so I went in to get checked. I'm actually due April 23rd according to the ultrasound so I'm 23w4d. I'm 4 cm dilated and 100% effaced. The good news is that I am in an amazing hospital with a level 3 NICU and I'm having no real labour symptoms. No cramping or anything. Babies are looking on track growth wise. I've already had the full course of steroids to help their lungs should they make an appearance soon. We're praying that they stay put for a long while even though it's hard to be away from DS and DH so much. Just thought I'd let you all know what was going on.
Thank you for keeping us updated @Koukonei! Praying that the babies stay put for as long as it is safe for them and you! Please keep us updated with any changes as you have time.
@Koukonei Very scary, hope you are all right and the babies will stay put! Glad that you are getting good care. We are thinking of you, please keep us updated! Sending you hugs and prayers
Me: 35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier. My DH: French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever. Our baby boy: Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks. I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!! Last measurement: 3150 gs at 37+1! This is going to be a big baby
My twins were preemies so I'm a bit familiar - I'm so glad you're in the right place and they're watching you closely and you got the steroid shots. I'll be thinking of you and hoping those babies stay put for as long as possible.
We are due date buddies! What a close call. I know how hard it must be to be away from home but, there is a finish line in sight! I had to remind myself yesterday that pregnancy is always a temporary condition. Best hope for growing and thriving babies!
Good to hear the babies are still on the inside and still growing. I'm sorry you are away from DH and DS. I can imagine how tough that would be. Will you for sure be in the hospital until the twins are born?
I'm sorry you miss your family, but know you are doing an amazing job cooking those babies! Hang in there mama.

I just got some decent news. If my daughter flips back to head down or even frank breech instead of footling, and I'm still stable, I can probably go home and just have a home care nurse come check on me! So praying hard that she flips back around! Haha
I'm sorry to hear you have to be in the hospital. I'm glad everything was caught early and that the babies are doing well. I was in the hospital for a week with my first. It was not fun. Thinking of you and your healthy babies.
@cafedisco I haven't had a cervical check since I was admitted. They're trying to keep their hands out unless necessary lol. The only way they will check me at this point is if I have any signs of labour or probably before I get discharged. I'm allowed to get up and walk around my unit, have showers, even go downstairs in a wheelchair. I asked for more clarification from my nurse today, and basically they just want to make sure everything is stable and give the babies a bit to grow before they say to the home care nurse that I'm stable and can be seen at home.
