Upcoming appointments this week? Nope, not until January 12. But I should get bloodwork results from the hematologist in a week.
Any new symptoms or changes? Not really, I'm praying to avoid MS
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope, hoping for a quiet and peaceful week!
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I'm a teacher. I already told my principal since I'm going to need quick class coverage occasionally to go to the bathroom. I also have a long commute and may need to leave a little early for appointments since we don't get out until 3:45 and my doc's office makes its last appointments for 4:30. There is a hospital in the town I live in, but I chose a hospital / doc office across the street in between work and home even though I'll probably deliver when I'm home for the summer for this reason. Can't work from home.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Upcoming appointments this week? Wednesday we have our introductory appt to the OB on base!
Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing really new... I've been getting nausea when hungry so I always keep pretzels on me!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I still can't believe that we saw this baby's tiny heartbeat a few days ago. I was sweating because I was so nervous going into it and then I was so relieved! Fortunately, we had a calm Christmas so it was easy not to drink and not be tooooo obvious haha
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I'm an operations engineer. This baby will affect my ability to walk around 7 of 8 hours a day! I already get more exhausted and have to sit down for short breaks haha
@NYTino24 what are the major things that the hematologist is testing for? I know you've been having bloody noses and stuff so I was just curious what they're looking at.
@mokay19 I was told I had VWD as a teen and always needed medication before surgery. I used a new doc last year and he said he didn't see it. My twin had ITP in pregnancy in addition to serious PCOS / endometriosis that led to a partial hysterectomy due to a terribly scarred uterus. Another sister had retained anterior placentas in her last 2 pregnancies and hemorrhaged pretty badly, so they wanted to make sure everything is okay. They did a CBC with one vial and told me results before I left. (Low mean platelet volume and MO#, but he wasn't concerned and said it was "normal".) I have no idea what the other 11 were for.

Upcoming appointments this week? First ultrasound Friday! I'm very excited and anxious about it.
Any new symptoms or changes? Morning sickness has gotten pretty bad this week. I've been feeling some stretching in my abdomen too.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job?
Im a project engineer for a chemical company. I get a 12 week leave and then I'll go back to work. I don't expect much to change but I can shift my schedule to accommodate day care and stuff.
Upcoming appointments this week? Not until next year.
Any new symptoms or changes?
Still the usual nauseousness, tiredness and cramping.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Not today
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I own a shop. Planning on training an old colleague to run the shop while I'm on leave for a while.
Hi, ladies! I intro'ed in the other thread last week and have been lurking/sporadically posting since then and I'm excited to join this ticker change! I'm Stephanie, EDD 8/28.
How far along are you? 5 weeks
How big is baby? Apple seed
Upcoming appointments this week? None this week, but should be getting my progesterone level result back. It's been delayed bc of the Holiday weekend.
Any new symptoms or changes? Just some dull cramps up by/around my belly button and closer to my hips- it varies which side from day to day.
Rants/Raves/Questions? **TW** I'm cautiously optomisitic for this pregnancy as I lost my first little one in May at 17 wks and had a CP in Nov. of this year. **end TW** I have my first appt with U/S scheduled for 1/13. I know time is going to drag until then.
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I'm a speech pathologist in a k-5 elementary school. My EDD is the first day that staff is supposed to be back at work, but who knows if that will really happen for me. I'm a little nervous not starting the school year off with my caseload then jumping into what someone else has done for three months, but hopefully I'll be able to meet with my sub early August before school starts to give him/her the lay of my special ed. land.
I was supposed to have one tomorrow, but then work told me I can't have off.
Any new symptoms or changes?
Nausea is getting worse and dizzy spells more frequent.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not now
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job?
I work part time in a daycare. I plan on quitting and staying home when baby comes. I will probably quit when I get too big to be bending down and picking up babies and toddlers all day. For now, I just have to keep preggie pops in my pocket because the blowouts and spit ups trigger major nausea.
Any new symptoms or changes? Headaches, Morning Sickness (on & off), sore breast (on & off)
Rants/Raves/Questions? None
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? Legal Assistant... I think where it will get complicated for us is once our DD starts school.... She will be in Pre-K4 next year and she'll still be at her daycare since they have VPK there, and baby of course will be attending same daycare. But once they go separate ways, the commute will be more difficult for us as well as aftercare... Going to have to start planning ahead soon.
Upcoming appointments this week? Yes! Ultrasound on Friday
Any new symptoms or changes? Soooo dang tired and sick I can't even stand it!
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just sick and tired of being sick and tied. Ugh!
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I work in healthcare, and baby won't affect work much. If I'm lucky enough to be able to breast feed #2 I'm mostly concerned about being able to find time to pump at work, as it can get chaotic at times.
Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea turned into actual puking.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just hating on nausea and the inability to make it betterrrr.
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I work with a Christian college ministry, and they're pretty family friendly, so I will keep working but I'll have a lot of control over my schedule.
How far along are you? 6 weeks, 3 days / Due 8/21 (Guess this could change at my first doctor's appointment scheduled for 1/16)
How big is baby? Blueberry
Upcoming appointments this week? January 1/16 will be my first appointment.
Any new symptoms or changes? Really starting to not feel well. I'm already anemic so I now have to make sure I keep up on my iron pills. Without them, I am literally no help to my family.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope (:
GTKY: What's your job? How will baby affect your job? I am an administrative assistant. Being pregnant will not affect my job but I am nervous about telling my bosses because I was just out on maternity leave in 2015.
