Cure may be a strong word. But anything really.
It finally hit me this past week and it is a struggle to get through the day. I know you need protein, and supposedly frequent small meals help. but howww do you do that when eating anything sounds like the worst idea everrr.
I know I could (and have) googled this, but I'd love to hear it from you guys

- Ginger. Ginger settles the stomach. If you buy ginger ale, make sure it says, "made with real ginger," because some brands are not. You can make a "tea" from hot water, lemon juice, honey, and plenty of ginger. Sour flavors also help with nausea, so don't be afraid to add lots of lemon juice. There is also such a thing as ginger gum, but beware, it is very strong.
- Preggie Pops. These are candies that work like magic to take the edge off nausea. The combination of the sour flavors and the essential oils work together to bring near-instant relief. You probably won't find them at Wal-Mart, but you can get them at Babies R Us, Buybuy Baby, Once Upon a Child, and Amazon.com
- Sea-Bands. This is a bracelet designed for people who get motion sickness, but many pregnant women swear by them, too.
- Nuts. When our bodies get hungry, normally they would draw on reserves to give us the energy to keep going, but now that we are pregnant, our bodies are prioritizing baby instead. The extra sudden drop in energy supply when you get hungry can lead to nausea. Munching on a few nuts here and there throughout the day can help prevent you from reaching that point and provide your body with protein, a long-term energy source. Plus, when eating seems like the last thing you want to do, you don't have to eat very many to get some benefits.
Hope that helps!
+Keep pretzels or crackers by your bed and eat a few before getting up. Great for letting your stomach settle a bit.
+Small meals throughout the day. Just because something sounds good don't eat a lot of it. Pace yourself, see how you feel, and then eat more if you still feel good. (I seriously had a month where I couldn't eat a normal sized meal.)
+PROTEIN. Seriously makes a huge difference. Could not stomach meat so that meant nuts. Honey peanuts, cashews, cocoa covered almonds as a treat, hearty granola....a handful now and then made a world of difference.
+also, if you want the calming fizz but not the sugar of soda, fruit seltzer water is so refreshing. Just make sure it doesn't have that nasty aspartame.
A friend of mine ate two pieces of bread in the AM, and left the loaf on her night stand.

Whats helping me:
-ginger snaps (I'm keeping them by the bed so I can have one or two when I wake up sick)
-ice cold water
-preggie pops
-raw veggies/salad with Italian or something vinegary
-eat throughout the day, not just at normal mealtimes
I am honestly really struggling to eat enough and especially get enough protein. I only want carbs or sour/acidic foods and can barely stomach meat.
Snacking throughout the day was somewhat helping too. DH doesn't believe me that eating helps. I tell him it's like how you have to feed a hangover.
My first pregnancy I lived on preggie pops... guess I need to go get more!
I second the sour patch kids. I don't the even care about the sugar content because it works.
Iced peppermint tea and anything with lemon have also been lifesavers for me this go around. Kefir also seems to help.
I have no idea where to get ginger candy. Checked the local store here and none. May try the co-op next.
