Freezer meal ideas

I know it's a little early to make them now, but I made a few freezer meals ahead of time for my first kid. I want to make a TON for this one because I loved how convenient they were. Anyone have any good ideas/recipes? My staple go-to recipes consisted of tater tot casserole, lasagna roll ups, and hamburger casserole. I know soups freeze well, but I'm not really into soups, especially in may!

We only made a few things in advance the first time, so I'm interesting in hearing some ideas! I remember doing baked ziti, chicken soup, muffins, and some frozen individual drop-in cookies. :)

I do Chicken Enchilada Casseroles (yum) basically I layer tortillas, rice, cheese, and shredded chicken topped with enchilada sauce.  It generally makes awesome leftovers too.

Another vote for cookies. Bake them right from the freezer for fresh cookies anytime

I just typically stock up on those pre-made freezer meals. Most have pasta, veggies and sauce already there. Just toss in a pan and heat up.

I'm no cook. So these usually taste better than something I could have made.

Stromboli- don't have a recipe, sorry, just however you like Stromboli.

Also you can make a huge batch of pizza dough and put them into balls and freeze them. Just throw on the counter/fridge the day you want to roll it out.

Chicken in a bag. I normally by Tysons Chicken frozen and then divvy up chicken into large zip lock bags and throw sauce/seasoning into it (BBQ, Franks, Italian seasoning/dressing) throw in fridge (from freezer) the night before you need it and it will thaw/marinate over night and you can toss in the crockpot that morning.

Following. I made a ton of freezer meals before DD was born, so I'll be doing the same again. I'll come back later with my suggestions. I have a yummy beef stew, meatloaf, and sausage pepper pasta.

My husband said no to freezer meals. He thinks life will be the same after the baby comes and that one of us will have the time and energy to make dinner at the end of the day. Ha! I'm going to make a few sneaky meals and hope for the best.

Boy is he wrong. First time Dads have no idea.  DH borrowed one of his Dad's guitars thinking he would "learn to play" after DH was born bc he would have so much "extra time with the slower pace."  I laughed at him. The guitar hasn't moved since we took it out the car over 2 1/2 years ago.

Mama, if you want a freezer meal, then by all means play the pregnancy card and blame it on your fellow bumpers.

@arels483 - Your husband has no clue what he is in for so unless he shares the cooking pretty regularly,  where you can trust him to take care of the meals,  I would not even consult him about it and just prepare some. My mom will be with us for 3 weeks after having the baby and taking care of all the cooking during that time. I'm still planning on making freezer meals. Those first few months with a newborn are no joke.

Baby one we ate out too much. Baby 2 I belonged to MOPS and the amazing moms there supplied us with dinners for weeks. It was amazing. This time around I'll likely freeze some things. Especially with 3 boys that eat a lot in this house!
