Not great. I have some sort of stomach virus. Today's my daughter's birthday; wednesday will be the 4th anniversary of her passing. So it's a particularly difficult time of year, and being sick on top doesn't really help that.
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to?
No new appointments until February, which is actually pretty exciting. Typically I'm seen frequently due to the HR nature of my pregnancies, but things are looking so great right now they're fine with me just getting my BP checked at 16 weeks and not seeing the OB until 20.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
My stomach feels like someone is clutching my intestines and stomach with their hands and twisting. My baby should be 4 today. Not my favorite week.
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome.
My boys were so excited about their presents, so that was a highlight for me. We're far away from family right now, so I'm more excited for next year when we'll be back home.
@Xath sorry that you're having a bad week. It's never fun to cope with the anniversary of a loss, but even worse during the holidays
First time posting in the June '17 PGAL check in? Welcome! Please Introduce yourself.

How are you doing? Good! I finally started on the magnesium supplements and it's been helping tremendously with the headaches! Thanks to whomever originally suggested them! (Sorry I don't remember who it was, lol)
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? January 12th for a regular checkup
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: FTM, so I mayyyyy be way off here but I *thought* I could feel her rolling around in there last night.. only if my hand was putting light pressure where she is though.. kind of felt like a wave then it stopped
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome. Wewent back home to Michigan to spend it with my side of the family for the 1st time in 4 years! My husband and I haven't exchanged gifts yet, but just being with my entire family was enough for me.
@BellaO21 My husband's Aunt and Uncle live in Chesterfield Township. My H grew up in Warren and most of his family is still around there. My dad's side of the family lives in West Bloomfield. We got married at Stony Creek Metropark.
How far along are you? 15w1d How are you doing? I'm feeling so out of shape. My in-laws do a ton of walking and I was lagging behind and feeling winded. I'm making plans to try to get in shape, including making the best of a long commute, and signing up for a prenatal swim class for Saturday mornings. Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? Next Tuesday. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We were outside in the cold Delaware wind and sun yesterday. I think I got sunburned. I did think to pack sunscreen but thought I wouldn't need it. My natural skin tone is fair pink, and I know I have direct access to all sunrays in the summer, but I forgot pregnant ladies are prone to sunburns even more so. I guess I will put sunscreen on my amazon registry and get my welcome bag! GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome. All the food was quite delicious. We went to see Rogue One last night and did enjoy the beach. My in-laws have been visiting the beach for the past 8 years or so for Christmas. This was my second time going with them.
Favorite because it was funny, my husband put three things in my stocking: A computer mouse that he told me he got me, a bag of honey roasted peanuts that he gave me in a fruit box on my birthday on the 17th, and a can of tuna fish I bought at the grocery store. I had been looking at that stocking the days leading up to Christmas Eve thinking it had been full and wondering what else I should have put in there for my husband, but we ended up keeping gift giving so simple and silly that it just made my day. I watched a video of recommended gifts for SOs. It went from experiences for the new couples to kitchen equipment that both can enjoy on Christmas 1 for a married couple, ranging from $20-$200. They did not continue on to say that the longer you are married, the cheaper you should go with your gifts. At least that is the case with me and my DH. And I love it.
@Xath oh wow! Super small. I lived in Eastpointe until I was 13, right in the city lines of Warren and Roseville. Stoney Creek is nice, I used to go there all the time lol
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? On the 29th.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: nothing exciting
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome.
Honestly this Christmas kinda stunk. Dd1 is sick and we were visiting family. So we left at 12:30 am today, got stuck in traffic for over 2 hours during our 13 hour drive. I'm exhausted.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
How are you doing? I've been so full the last couple of days I hadn't noticed my 'morning sickness'...until today. Yep, still there! I'm also feeling a little fluffier than normal. I couldn't wait to change into sweats last night so I didn't, 8 changed after family pics!
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? I'm looking forward to hearing baby's heartbeat on the 3rd and can't wait to feel movement. My placenta is anterior so it might be a long wait but I'm excited!!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Got some exciting news from a couple of friends and looks like they'll be a couple more babies in our squad this spring/summer!!
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift?
We announced on Fb and to family which was really exciting and very confusing for a lot of folks since our son is adopted. We got a lot of "wait...are you pregnant?" Or "how is this baby joining the family". It was pretty funny. However, now that's it's public I'm worried all over again something bad will happen and we'll have to untell all these people.
How are you doing? Good! Have a few days off from work and all the holiday company is gone so just enjoying some quiet R&R time!
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? Mid-Jan.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: (feeling chatty so I'm doing all 3!)
Rant/Worry: Family is already talking about staying around (from out of town) after baby comes to help out. Which is super nice and I'm grateful for the support, but I'm just not sure I want anyone STAYING with us during that time. We will already be adjusting and I really don't want to host 24/7 company at that time. They mean well but I don't want to hear things like "where is _____?" "Why don't you have _____" "you should really move ___ here" all while I'm sleep deprived, sore, and emotional. I hosted for all the holidays this year and even though they're all great, it's my house and if I want to keep the cups in one cabinet instead of the other I get to and they need to just deal with it.
Rave: Got NT results finally (they were due right during the office's holiday closure) and things are looking good. Starting to actually believe this pregnancy will go well and result in a baby I can take home and love on.
Positive Vibes: Hoping that things keep going well for everyone and so happy that we are all in/moving to the 2nd trimester!
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome. We went public on FB with our news this Christmas. It's great to not have it be a secret any more; but like others, I'm worried about something going wrong and having to spread that news.
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? Tomorrow afternoon, regular check up
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I felt the baby moving a couple times this weekend but none today. It makes me worry a little.
GTKY: What was your favorite thing about this Christmas/Hanukka? Favorite gift? AW pictures are welcome. My favorite part of this Christmas was being able to spend it with my family and DH's family! DD was so excited to see everyone.
@kitty21436 I am with you on the whole family staying with us once the baby arrives! So much so that I've already told them that they will need to get a hotel or find another place to stay for the duration of the trip because 1- for all the reasons you've listed and 2- we just won't have the room. they are more than welcome to come over for a few hours during the day, but I will kick their butts out if I feel like they've over stayed their welcome for the day/week. Lol
@BellaO21 You're smart to have had that convo already. Did they take it well? I'll have to start that conversation with them soon. I'm super grateful for their offering to help out- but between all the parents (lots of divorce and marriage in the fam), I think it'll just be too much during a special and delicate time. I've been thinking about an airbnb that can be rented for a month then each set of parents can come in during that time period as they wish, but will have to look into the cost/availability.
How are you doing? Feeling pretty good, still Randoms headaches, but nothing too terrible.
Next appointment?Or, alternatively, next milestone you're looking forward to? Check up January 4, anatomy scan January 12

@kitty21436 my parents understood, his mother gave me the "you'll change your mind/I really don't care what you say" look. She has a key since she lives close- so I may put the privacy lock on so it guarantees she can't come in LOL
