We are hosting Christmas Eve at our house this year and I already can't wait for everyone to leave. It's my DFs family and a few of his friends since we go to my parents house for Christmas. I'm not looking forward to it at all.
I've been drinking caffeine. Not every day, but some days I'll have 1 8 oz cup of coffee or a soda. There's maybe even been a few days where I've had a coffee AND a soda.
@nda_roxybabe I have some caffeine every day. I still use the old school drip coffee, so I use half decaf, half caf when preparing it. I can be really mean without my coffee
I'm lying to skip Christmas. I'm thinking of faking the flu to avoid Christmas eve with my family. Christmas used to be my favorite holiday now I can barely make it through. My family causes so much drama and just makes it stressful. Add in the fiancé that is not welcome in my parents home and it's just too much. I'm thinking I will just drop my son off tonight and fiancé will pick up in times for church tomorrow.
@nda_roxybabe I have a cup of coffee every morning! I miss soda sometimes, especially Dr pepper. I just might indulge sometimes soon. Like later today.
My ticker made me think of one, I don't like Chipotle! When we first moved here and tried it, I was okay with it. Then H wanted to have it several times a week (still does) and I got burnt out and now I just never, ever want it.
I've had caffeine every day since I found out I was pregnant. Consensus is that 200mg is more than safe. I don't go crazy but I definitely never considered giving it up 100%
my FFFC. This was my breakfast not the whole tray but enough. Haha
Haha, love these food confessions! I keep below the 200mg as far as I can tell, but I know so many people are adamantly "no caffeine!"
I've been so sick this week and had little to no appetite, but we've received insane amounts of Christmas goodies at the office, so I've been eating those. I feel guilty about not eating better this week, but I figure some sort of food is better than none (which is all I feel like).
@nda_roxybabe@pshaortao I was JUST coming to bare my soul about caffeine consumption! 1st trimester: one tea every morning. 2nd trimester so far: a short pull from my espresso machine (like maybe 1/2-3/4 of what I would normally do for a shot) with plenty of milk (because calcium!) and cocoa powder (because gluttony) every morning.
With holiday travel and errands I've indulged a little more--I am finishing a tall Starbucks holiday latte as I type. I just checked and it's a tad over the recommended 200 mg (at 240) but this is a rare treat and important fuel for facing the mall on December 23!
You guys I miss caffeine so much! You're making me jealous!!! (Caffeine gives me terrible migraines so I haven't had it since I finally figured that out years ago.)
FFFC- I'm so tired today that I handed older daughter a roll of "to from" sticker labels and younger daughter a box of tissues to entertain themselves this morning. And then older daughter got to play see how many tissues and stickers you can find and put into the trash can! Hours of entertainment y'all! And I have zero cleanup to do!
@sarah0985 there's totally some healthy protein in those breakfast cookies from the walnuts!
I had carbs in two unacceptable forms as my lunch--and nothing else. Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Oopsie. I'll eat a healthy dinner I promise
I don't want to live in a world where Mac and cheese is unacceptable!!
Lol! I just meant that mashed potatoes are probably not too healthy and neither is Mac and cheese...and the two together is a little unacceptable for an adult's lunch I should have had something with some nutritional value.
Had an argument with my husband this morning. I volunteered to get his father's gift which is were trying to get him to switch to vapor or e cigs instead of the unfiltered ones he rolls himself ugg. Well my husband said make sure you get plain menthol flavor and to me plain and menthol are two separate things as when I sold them at a convenience store it was either plain or menthol and I said that and then I was somehow being obnoxious and questioning his intelligence. Now I am questioning how is this relationship worth to me right now because this is not the only argument hes taken to a level that is ridiculous and im exhausted from it.
Confession: I take my laptop into the bathroom. My husband thinks it's gross, but it's not like I touch it before I wash my hands. I just scroll while I'm doing my business.

I claimed I simply didn't have time this year to make the holiday truffles and cookies I usually give out to family, but in reality I just didn't feel like it. Instead, I've been playing Skyrim since I woke up 6 hours ago. I'm not going to be able to do this 5-6 months from now, so I'm soaking it up now.
my FFFC is i'm no where near as "careful" with things this time around, and I only feel a little bad about it. Hot baths, caffeine, lunch meat, etc.... but so far the anatomy scan didn't show an extra arm coming out of his forehead... so far so good
I was trying to stay under the 200mg caffeine per day... then I realized that my coffee that I thought had like 50-75 mg had more like 150mg ... then I would also sip on soda or tea during the day/dinner.... poor baby, I've switched to decaf so I'm doing better now and pretty sure I'm staying under that now
So, I missed last weekend of work because I had a horrible migraine. It lasted into the week, and I called out Thursday because i still wasn't feeling well. Last night, I was trying to decide if I should go to work or not. I ultimately called in, even though I was feeling better, because I had some last minute Christmas shopping to finish. I don't feel that bad, even though they really could have used me there.
I had a friend who was pregnant and complaining about missing caffeine and I was like- You know you can have a cup of coffee a day. And she said something along the lines of "well I know I could technically have a glass of wine too but I just want to be safe" and I got super mad at her insinuation that I WASNT being safe and that alcohol and caffiene are the same risk wise.
I often have a cup of half caf in the morning then an iced tea later. That's not even considering the copious amounts of chocolate I'm eating this time of year. I'm probably getting close to the 200mg daily.
@BeachMommy2B, I'm doing the same. I feel like overall I'm just not as freaked out and nervous about everything this time around. I'm still anxious, but calmer about it.

I try to not drink a caffeinated drink every day, that way I don't feel guilty when I get a tall Starbucks delicious-ness (it's 45 min away, so it's maybe once a month, if that)
my fffc: I'm not eating very healthy this time around. I'm sore, I'm tired, I'm busy and food isn't really appealing to me. Like I eat cause I have to, not because I'm hungry. So I usually end up eating fast easy crap.
I regifted a crappy gift for MH's grandmother this year. I got it at a gift exchange and couldn't decide what to get for this super crabby woman, so Merry Christmas Grandma you're getting my throw away gift!
@softsoprano where do you live that's 45 min away from a Starbucks?!?!? I have like six within a mile and half from my home. You must live in a cold dark land...
Not really flame worthy, but I'll confess I love my in-laws. They would pretty much do anything for DH (their son) and our DD. Or me, for that matter. We're there right now for Christmas.
@achays11 I regift ALL THE TIME maybe this should be another FFFC, but especially things like gift cards... as long as our name hasn't been written on the actual card I more than likely won't use it and will just save it for the next time I need a gift.
DH's mom is a shameless regifter (will regift in front of the person!) I'm not that bad, but DH has turned me into a regifter, too. We opened a box of gifts from my dad last night:
candles - will regift to DH's cousin 2 copper mugs - will regift to my cousin (we'll keep 2, but we don't need 4) ridiculous bacon bowl thing - gag gift to BIL
All this stuff used to make it's way to Goodwill, so I'd rather give it to someone who might like it.

Edited to fix mobile weirdness
The closest sbux to my hometown is 83 minutes and that's a single store. The next closest is 180 minutes. I don't think it's uncommon.
Don't know how much of a confession this is but we spent WAY too much money on Christmas presents this year and I'm secretly hoping that next year with baby around we can skip some of these Christmases and not give gifts to some of these people I don't see but once or twice a year. #grinch?
+1 for daily caffeine consumption and not being as worried this time around. Last time I didn't have a drop of caffeine until after my anatomy scan. This time I was drinking it occasionally during the first tri and regularly right at around 12 weeks when I could stomach it more consistently. I've also had unpasteurized cheese. Also, +1 for a crappier diet this time around. I was pregnant from March to November last time and the holidays are HARD guys.
@llenadevida900 it's pretty much the middle of nowhere. What sucks is I've always lived in the suburbs so I'm used to the convenience, but DH is a country boy so we moved back to his hometown so we could be closer to his family. It has taken a LOT of getting used to.
I am a horrible person. I have 1 cup of coffee every morning, sometimes 2.
I've been so stressed out lately I'm sitting here while DS naps drinking a beer. I've never drank during pregnancy and I'm not sure I'll finish it. But I really had to before he woke up and we head to my folks for Christmas dinner.
I'll accept any shit I get for this.

@LuckyAngie I have a cup of coffee each morning, sometimes have a soda too. I eat deli meat, and sometimes sleep on my back. ive had a glass of wine on two separate occasions this pregnancy. My SIL both drank sparingly throughout their four pregnancies combined and all the children are perfectly wonderful. You do you girlfriend.
I had a Dr Pepper with my breakfast today... my breakfast was also a biscuit sandwich from McDonald's.
@MrsFox2008 I had a sausage biscuit sandwich from McDonald's this morning with a Dr. Pepper too. It was so good too. I actually told my husband this morning that when I'm done with labor, go get me the biggest Dr. Pepper you can find. Lol
@Jen_Shoes thank you for saying that. I feel much less guilty.
I will have a diet soda on occasion....but not regular because I have GD and too much sugar and carbs there.
I only drank half the beer. Then kicked myself because my folks had wine and I would have much rather had a small glass of that. But it's good, I got that desire out I think. We had 1 beer left from forever ago and every time I opened the fridge after a long day it was like taunting me!

I had some deli meat today. It was my first time not heated. My doctor actually said it's not on the do not eat list anymore, but I still feel a little guilty.
