2- how are you feeling about it? I can't sleep and am starving but can't eat because I need to take my fasting blood sugar in a couple hours.
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? Everything is a sign turned disappointment these days
4- how late can you go?/do you have an induction date? I'll be induced Monday night due to GD, I REALLY want to go on my own before that.
i also can't sleep. I did get a good almost 6 consecutive hours though so I'm satisfied
1) 40&2
2) I'm feeling responsible which is dumb and not helpful. Like... baby won't come til I'm in the right mindset or... til I do xyz on the birth ball enough or... whatever. It's hard having everyone waiting on me too
3) contractions by the truckload but not intense. No mp.
4) 41&6 but I just bought myself two days by getting them to change my due date back to the one based on lmp rather than ultrasound
I hope you go soon and avoid a Christmas baby @slartybartfast! I also feel responsible, like maybe if I walk/clean/stick my finger in my ear more he will come.
And i I still don't know what a contraction is/feels like.
Hopefully that baby decides to get moving before tomorrow evening @LandJ13 ! But if not... hey! By Tuesday - you'll been reaping in the newborn snuggles

2- how are you feeling about it? Quite responsible, I couldn't have said it better myself @slartybartfast if I maybe spend another 10 minutes on the exercise ball and do 20 more squats... And stand on my left foot, jump three times and drink water upsidedown...
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? Not really. At my last checkup on Thursday I had gone from a closed up shop (1week prior) to 2 cm dilated, 50% thinned & baby a lot lower. That gave me strong hope of going into labor on my own soon since the progress has been so recent. But alas, that isn't my body's plan. I also still don't know what a contraction feels like.
4- how late can you go?/do you have an induction date? My doctor doesn't want to go more than a week over, so we are headed in this evening (Sunday). At the BPP ultrasound they had him measured at 8#2oz give or take a lb, so I can understand not wanting to run into complications of him being too big of we wait longer.
ETA: I've also noticed that my expectations have changed drastically over the last couple of weeks. They went from 'oh it would be perfect if my water would break in the middle of the night that way we'd know for sure and would call, get ready & head in. It'd be perfect if he'd either be born on DH or his dad's birthday. Okay, those dates didn't happen, so maybe 12/16/16 would be a great birthday and easy to remember! Okay... Nothing is happening. I'd just be happy to to into spontaneous labor. Okay not happening.... Okay, hopefully we can go in and induction won't be a long lengthy forced process... Okay, I'll take him whenever and however!'

2- how are you feeling about it? Awful. Can't help thinking it's my fault, because I'm anxious, because I'm older, because something. I've completely stopped expecting to go into labor on my own and I'm worried about my little guy, even though he's doing fine on all the tests and is moving around just fine. Bummed that I went from being excited to welcome him to depressed and disappointed in my body...
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? So many - losing bits of mucus plug, sporadic but mild contractions, he's so low my midwife was sure I'd be in labor soon at my last check in.
4- how late can you go?/do you have an induction date? I'm going in first thing tomorrow to talk about options. I doubt they'd want me to go past 42 weeks. I was pretty set against induction but at this point I'll probably go along with whatever's recommended - I feel like it would go well since I'm showing some signs of progress.

Its always been my go to plan if I went close to 42 weeks. I had it scheduled with my 3rd who came at 41+2 days... I had to wait 2 more days due to a weekend for the acupuncturist to get back from a camping trip then she came on her own before that!
Anyhow, my reasoning in trying it first was that it can't hurt the baby at all... no castor oil to cross placenta or cause me to get depleted. I forgot if I mentioned that in the other thread... ignore me if I did. But it seems to be pretty effective, especially if you're on the edge.
Youre all on my mind and im sorry. I know it's so frustrating (scary, annoying, maddening and discouraging!) Hugs

2- how are you feeling about it? Eh, starting to get a bit impatient. Bored too, house has been cleaned, bags packed. DH and I have already started leave at work, so we're both kinda staring at each other waiting for something to happen.
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? Lots of irregular contractions over the last few days. Lost my mucus plug this morning.
4- how late can you go?/do you have an induction date? My OB will induce a week overdue. I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that.

2- how are you feeling about it? Disappointed. I and everyone else thought I would go early since DD2 was 2 weeks early. I planned for it, took off work early, and now here I am, just...waiting. I still have some Christmas shopping to do, I was hoping LO would come out so I could be more mobile, but alas, looks like it's going to be a gift card Christmas. I can only waddle so far in the stores.
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? None. I'm getting BH and toning contrx, but I assume no dilation since I don't think I've lost MP yet (never have lost it pre-labor). Lots of loose BM.
4- how late can you go?/do you have an induction date? Haven't had that discussion with the OB or midwife yet. I'm assuming it will come up during my appt tomorrow, and they will probably be fine with up to 41 weeks, especially if the BPPs are normal. I don't know their policy on induction with VBAC, and I'm not sure if the risks outweigh post date risks for AMA. I'm just hopeful baby comes before Christmas, and that we get out of the hospital before Christmas for the kids' sake.

I'm pretty weepy today for some reason. I'm kind of sad he won't be with me all the time anymore, is that a thing? I feel bad dropping the dog off at the boarder even though her house is better than ours and he gets long walks on the woods there. I'm also so ready to be done with the anxiety! So baby should be here by tomorrow
i keep telling myself to surrender control, baby will come when she is ready!
Yesterdah DH and I went to see Office Christmas party and I guess it's been awhile since we've been to the movies. They have reserved seating now and plush, reclining chairs. It was awesome!
today I booked a prenatal massage and am splurging on the 90 minute version. Hopefully she can work some of those acupressure points. I might as well get some pampering out of the waiting game.

Well as of today I belong here now, I was convinced he'd be early my entire pregnancy.
1- how over due are you? Currently 1 day.
2- how are you feeling about it? I still don't know yet. I wanted him here by Christmas. I'm so over people telling me oh you don't want him born the 24th or 25th. MIL last night says how it won't be any fun for him since he won't have a special day. I'll make it special gosh darn it.
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? I'm dilating on my own but not in sync apparently. I'm a 4 internally and a 2 externally. I had contractions and back pain off and on yesterday. So we will see.

Induction scheduled for 12/28 at 330.

2- how are you feeling about it? Okay. Kind of wish I could be snuggling the babe already.
3- any signs baby may want to come soon? Contractions since last night. Almost 4cm at my appt yesterday. But who knows, I've gotten my hopes up before and it just ends in disappointment.

what??? That's an insane induction date for a doctor to pick! Is there are reason behind that?
Also... i just read that one reason labor usually (naturally) starts after dark or in the wee hours of the night is that melatonin in ones system works with oxytocin to amplify and intensify contractions... I was just wondering if a pm induction would be more successful if OBs took chemicals and how they work in our bodies into consideration? Also wondering if taking some melatonin during induction might help???? Just a interesting side note.

On a side note, I'm actually really pleased with my OB that induction has not been mentioned. We talked about it hypothetically long ago but nothing recently. And she induced all 4 of a family friends babies on their due date, so I know it's her norm. I feel like she actually supports my plan even if it's not her standard of care. Next week's appointment (41+1) may be a different story, but at least for now she's leaving my body to do its thing without giving it any deadlines. It's nice not to have to fight for my time like I'd figured I would.
Her norm is to give it about a week before induction, and she actually wanted to do it today (but schedule was already full) which makes me wonder if I'm having a huge baby or something
Hoping that setting a deadline will encourage her into coming early FX
The nighttime logic makes a lot of sense. I have much stronger contractions in the evening..
