Me in their thoughts . I gave birth on Nov 23rd to a healthy baby girl Addison. However I had a 3rd degree laceration and am currently rejecting my sutures and presenting with a huge infection. I cannot get restitched until the infection is gone . I have to go to surgery on December 13th tentatively . It's been rough . Walking around with an open wound down there and trying to breastfeed and do the best for my baby girl . Thankful for a supportive husband . I've talked to so many people who have never heard of this happening . I wish I knew more people this happened to because I feel like why me???? Anyone hear of this
While during my first labor I torn my cervix significantly, requiring 20 stitches and later cauterizing of granulated tissue, they were second degree tears. So while I can empathize to some extent (walking was a struggle for about 2 months), I do not have the same experience. I am very sorry you are experiencing such pain and hope you can find some relief soon.
I'm a little late posting on this, but I had a very similar issue afte having my son in early 2015. I was in labor for 30hrs and tore very bad. I wasn't healing correctly and got an infection. I knew something wasn't right- I could barely walk after weeks of having my baby. I went back to the doctor and she confirmed that something wasn't right after 4 weeks and I had reconstructive surgery a week later. I had to take daily sits baths (like, who has time for that) and went to a specialist for the following 6 months. During that time I wasn't allowed to work out or have intercourse. Though it was really stressful at first (I was also pumping and supplementing because I didn't produce enough) and I had a lot of "why me" moments, it turned out ok. I never had any other issues, everything went back to where it was supposed to and I had a second child at the end of October. My doctor recommended a c section this time because she said she didn't want to risk me repeating the tear. The c section was WAY easier! Like nothing in comparison! I'll be thinking about you! Best of luck and it will all be fine. If you are worried after be sure to ask to see a specialist. Good luck!
