Weekly Appointments Check In - Week of 12/18/16

Been a little while since I've posted one of these but this board is getting a little stale and I'm sure we're all going to the pediatrician for one month checkups soon or already. Some of us will be heading to our six week checkups with our obgyn too.

So what's the status with you guys this week?

Re: Weekly Appointments Check In - Week of 12/18/16

  • This is actually the first week there isn't anyone in our house going to a doctor since having LO! At one point between DH, DD, and DS we were on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday thing.

Of course we return next week.

  • My pp appt went great and sex was not as scary or painful as I thought, woohoo!
Michael had his 2 month appt. yesterday and he went from 13th%ile to 33rd at 11 lbs 11 oz, yah!!!
Shots were so sad but he's a trooper and nothing a few extra snuggles didn't cure.
My in laws are coming in town with my brother in law and his fiancé this week. It will be nice to have tthem here and meet him but also hard because it's a lot of work to entertain and cook for everyone and having 4 extra people staying at your house!
We had a 5 hour stretch of sleep last night which was nice, I'm hoping that continues!

  • Sorry it's been a long time since I participated on this board but I am going to try and get back into it.

Amelia is one month today and has had 5 appointments since we have been home. She had her toungue and lip tie clipped at 4 days old, then a quick appointment with her doctor. Then we saw the lactation consultant for feeding issues (I wasn't producing anything) and a follow up with he doc for that. Today she had her tongue and lip tie revised. This time it was at a local dentist who does it with a laser. She's had a rough first month. She has a follow up in 2 weeks to make sure it healed well and I have my 6 week check up then too and our chiro appointments.

I also went went to the doc last week for a rash on my calves. Turns out it was from my hair follicles. I got really sick on 4 days pp and lost all my water weight through diarrhea. I think going from swollen legs to anorexic looking legs made it irritated.

  • B has his 1 month appointment on Thursday. Totally forgot he would get shots until I just saw it mentioned above. Somehow I think it will go badly with this kid lol

i am am curious to see how much he weighs as he still fits into NB clothes and the pants are too big and he can kick out if them while swaddled
  • @kvruns my son is still in nb too and sometimes I got to pick him up out of the rock and play and his legs are up out of the onesie legs and it looks like he has a huge scrotum because of where his legs get stuck. It makes me laugh.
  • Dr had no help for his lack of sleep other than maybe probiotic drops could help. Otherwise he will just have to grow out of it.

He is 8lb 15oz which is 20somerhing percent but height he's like 70-80%
  • Took M to his one month appointment yesterday by myself. He's measuring 11lbs 13oz, 92nd percentile for weight and 23in long, 91st percentile for height. I think we're going to have that kid at little league that's a head taller than the other boys Lol

He pretty much lost his mind hen he got his vaccine shot. Didn't help he was already pissed that he was hungry and I wasn't feeding him. Definitely not doing the two month appointment alone since there are so many more shots at that one.
