Hi, ladies!
I haven't introduced myself, but I am Amber, and am hoping to become a second time mom. I used to be active in the August 2012 group (and can't remember my old bumpie name). My first pregnancy went smoothly, and I got pregnant the 1st month we attempted. I have had 3 losses since July 2016 in the quest to expand our family again. I was put on Progesterone, and am being treated as high risk as result of the losses. I had a ultrasound on Monday, at 5w6d, and everything looked fine, but received a call on Tuesday that the heart rate was at 80, and the doctor wants a repeat scan after Christmas because they would have liked the number to have been between 100 and 120 by that point.
Has anyone had experience with this? I will gladly accept positive or negative results! I am just looking for some data other than the percentages being thrown out by Dr Google.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Low fetal heart rate
Did you see a doctor after having the US on Friday?
I'm sorry, I don't have anecdotal evidence for you.
we sound so similar. I'm also pregnant with #2, after 2 losses (since July) and 1 prior to DS.
5w6d is super early, and the baby has 1 chamber right now. It could have started beating that day. I wouldn't get caught up in the number. My dr today told me when your closer to 8 weeks that's when you get higher HR.
Stay positive!

With my son, I had an ultrasound done at 5W1D (they thought I was much further along) and again, no visible heartbeat. Went back 2 weeks later and we saw a good, strong heartbeat. That's what I'm hoping for this time around! I really wish I wouldn't have had ultrasounds done so early because even though everything looks good at this point, it is worrisome to not see much.
That little babe still has time for its heartbeat to get stronger! Hoping for the best for you and that baby!
