@Wino0920 sorry to see the news about your MIL. FWIW, I love the name Annabella! I wanted that to be a girl name option (or Annabelle), but DH nixed both - lame!.
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese Margaret is another name I really like, but DH and I don't want to do anymore 'M' names so it fell off the list. It's so pretty though.
We're Team Green, but I'm beyond excited to name this LO next June! Our kids names are Maddox and Mackenzie and EVERYONE says "oh are you doing another 'M' name? Are you trying to do the Kardashian thing". Ugh!!! For starters I can't stand the Kardashians so "no!". Second, Maddox was supposed to be the name for our second son, but DH changed his preference at the 11th hour and since I had picked the name Maddox and our first pick at the time, I didn't mind changing the order up. Now it has been haunting me because of the Kardashian reference thing of the first names starting with 'M'.
If this is a boy the name is Aiden John (I've always wanted a son name Aiden... way before Sex in the City ruined the name as everyone started using it!). If this is a girl the name is Bridgette Nancy. We go with family names for middle names even though they don't always flow the best. John is the name of my father and DH's father. Nancy is my mother's name.
Names are tough for us Both DH and I liberally use our veto rights. We were team green for both boys and one of the girl names still stands although its been knocked out and brought back in a few times (Piper). Paisley is our number 1 right now. MN will be Josephine Everett.
Boys we are pretty screwed - Cole has been through around but hasn't stuck. I want a Paul David Jr. but DH doesn't. MN will be Everett probably.

Crazy crazy crazy! I am almost 36 and when I was a little girl, I watched the movie Steel Magnolias. Julia Roberts' husband in the movie was named Jackson. I knew that had to be my first son's name.
Barely heard the name until I was getting married and ready to start trying and boom it blows up!!! My brother tells all the girls watching that movie grew up too!
I still named him Jackson and I still love the name!!
My name starts with a K and my son is Kade Matthew. Husbands name starts with a T so he says this baby gets a T name. I think this is silly. And I don't like any T names other then Teegan and Tatum. Which he hates. He is set in Toby for a boy and Tobi for a girl. I get middle name choice. I'm fine with Toby for a boy.
My question is, how weird is Tobi for a girl??
I think it flows well with my sons name and goes well with our last name. However, is it too weird that it is spelled with an i at the end and is it even unisex? Ugh, husbands have to make things so hard!
DD and I have J names so DH has joked that this baby should have a B name like him but that just makes it a "thing" and I feel like it becomes weird (same as if i do another J name this time). I mean if we love a B name (and Brooke was on the table last time and still might be), then fine, but I'm not going to limit my choices to get a specific letter...I'm not a Kardashian.
Can you get a baby name book and look for T girl names that you actually like? I personally hate the feminization of masculine names by adding I or Y to them, and Tobi seems more like a nickname to me than anything, but plenty of people sre into that. A good unusual girl name with T that I like is Taryn. or if you're into gender neutral, maybe Taylor? Or Toni is the same style as Tobi but is more commonly used. if you don't love Tobi look for something else, you should both love the name.
This is us! My name starts with a "C" and both our sons have hard "c" sounds for their first names - Connor and Killian. DH wants a "P" name for a girl because both our sons have the /c/ sound. I'm fine with it but P names for girls are tricky!
@kassyfry - FWIW as I total internet stranger - I like Tobi for a girl. I've always liked boyish names for girls though - like Ryan and Jordan.

I'm stuck on these names... Evelyn Grace Everly Grace Eloise Grace not sure why I'm so in love with E names...Grace is a family name so that's staying.
I love Eloise but the meaning behind the name is "wide". Hmmmm....
@Turbotastic we are throwing Killian around if we have a boy. I already have a Kaiden and Cora but I don't mind the names all having the same sound. I have three sisters and we all have S first names and L middle names so it is normal to me.

We have a plethora of names at this point.. Boy- Wade, Eli, Levi, Toby, Brody, Everett, Connor, Carter, Trevor, Blake Girl- Ally, Lucy, Paige, Julia, Hadley
My top girl is Hadley Paige but idk about boy
DD is Avery Kate and it was the easiest name we ever chose
Sawyer Len - Born Still 04/2015 Wee#3 - Miscarried 11/2015 Rainbow Wiggles Due 06/29/2017
We decided very early on that a DS3 would be Beau, so now we are just settling up on the middle name. We've used family names for the other two so I'd like to continue that tradition. My top pick is Beau Isaac.
DH won't talk names until we know sex of the baby so here are the ones I like for number two (DD is Bridget) Girl: Theresea/Tess, Lucy, Elizabeth, Cecelia, Kate, Molly, Claire/Clara Boy: Miles, Nicholas, Henry, Donovan, Dylan, Sullivan, Matteo, Theodore (Middle name Louis after my dad)
DH likes Gabrielle for a girl and Charles for a boy
I'm stuck on these names... Evelyn Grace Everly Grace Eloise Grace not sure why I'm so in love with E names...Grace is a family name so that's staying.

We named DD Elouise. I liked the original German spelling behind it.
We are super stuck stuck this time around. I'm most positive it's a girl so that's all I've been looking at until we find out for sure. So far the few I like are Charlotte (Charlie), Adeline (Addie), or Harriet. Not sure of a nickname for the last one. I like having nickname options.
@Sbruins20 Hattie is a cute nickname for Harriet. I tend to like old, but less common now, types of names, so that is my personal favorite of your list, but they are all great!
@lmudra we love E names as well! Our DD is Ellery which is a more uncommon name, but seemed to fit along with the others you listed. If this baby is a boy for us I like Everett a lot.
@Sbruins20 we love Charlotte as well but a friend is naming their baby that name. @mishmosh26. I have no idea why all my top names are E haha. Ellery is so pretty!
For a girl we decided on Chloe Elizabeth a long time ago! We came up with Chloe on our own and Elizabeth is MIL's actual first name. She has since changed her first name to her middle name though.
We are having a hard time with boy names! We thought maybe Charles Robert or Charles Owen. Charles is DH's middle name and MIL's father's name. Both of our grandpa's are Robert and Owen is my dad's middle name. I like Owen as a first name but DH doesn't!
@alm52386 we must have similar taste in names!!! For our first if it was a girl I wanted to use Chloe Elizabeth. I've always loved Chloe but DH has vetoed it permanently. And Elizabeth is my middle name as is my moms and great grandmothers. We also tossed around the idea of Owen for our son but didn't use it. This time it is in the running for a middle name.
Boy name is up to DF. Right now he's thinking about a Junior - Danniel Grant. I don't like the idea of having a Junior, so I may have to talk to him about that if he keeps giving it too much thought...
Girl name is decided - Amara Dannielle. (points to any mamas who know what TV show the name Amara is from...)
We are struggling with names over here. In general we favor less common names. Our son is Everett Matthew and I love his name so much Im having a hard time finding anything we both love as much. Right now we like August and Oliver for boys. Oliver is a bit popular for my comfort but I like the sib set Everett and Oliver. For girls we like Paige and Maryclaire (my mothers name). However we do not like Mary and of course people will call her that. The struggle!!! Nothing feels perfect.
@mombod Oliver and Paige are perfect! I love both of those! (I totally get the "Mary" thing. My boys have short and simple names as it is, but people still find ways to shorten them and I don't like it lol)
We are French Canadians so for a first name I liked Laurent or Jérémie. I have no ideas for a girl, maybe Ophélie or Joséphine?!! I think it's so much harder to choose a name for a girl than it is for a boy! Our first son is named Philippe (DH's choice bc he is a fan of Futurama -_-)
We should know with in the next week what we are having. For a girl we've decided on Nora RuthAnn (ruth is one of my late grandmothers name and Ann is my maternal grandmothers middle name). For a boy we like Tate Allen (allen is my dad's middle name and my dad only has girls so my maiden name ends with him on that side of the family). I still really like the name Maddox for a boy too. My daughter's Name is Reagan Harper and I like the way Tate sounds with Reagan better than Maddox
We currently have no idea what we are having, as we are waiting for the anatomy scan, but we do have so choices picked! So far if it is a boy we like Maverick Curtis. (Curtis is my FIL middle name) And if it is a girl we like Marleigh Patrice. (Patrice is my mom's middle name)
don't really have any boy names jumping out at us yet....luckily we have a few months to figure it out.
if it had been a girl, i am fairly certain her name would have been Helena Holly. helena for my husband's great aunt helen who helped raise his mom and her siblings after their father died when all the kids were very young.
(our son is named after my dad, but i don't like any of the boy names really on my husband's side of the family!)
My husband and I play this game before bed sometimes. We're having a boy and like "O" names like Otto, Otis and Oswald but I think we may settle on naming him after my dad who passed away. It will be a game time decision!
I'm thinking Harlow Marie or Harlow Ann. I've received so many negative comments from family though
This is why we don't tell family* our baby names! Once it's on the birth certificate, people are much nicer. We make up realllyyyy bad fake names and pretend that's the name. It makes the point in a fun way. (DS was "Kansas City Barbecue, KC BBQ for short".)
*My 96 year old grandmother gave me SUCH a "I'm afraid I am going to die and never know the name" guilt trip last time that I told her. Because a) our boy name was in honor of her husband, which I did want her to know; and b) she vowed not to tell or say anything negative...she kept the "don't tell" part of her promise, and her negative statements were hilarious but not bad. This time, even Grandma has to wait til July!

I do wish that we wouldn't have told our family our choices for both sex's- They all love her name but when we told them what we had picked out had the baby been a boy all we got was "That's a horrible name- I'm glad it's a girl!"
We are naming her Victoria Rose. Victoria we just both ended up really liking and there's not a whole lot of people with that name, that we have met-which surprises me because I thought it was fairly common. Rose is after my grandmother.
If my father in law asks me the babies name again I'm going to slap him. We aren't telling people. Hell, we don't even know the sex of this child yet. Why is it so important?!?! Last time he and a few other members of my husbands family made some rude comments about my sons name. Sorry but you can wait till June
@bellaO21 I wish someone would tell me the name I've chosen for my daughter is terrible. They'd get blasted by a crazy pregnant lady right then and there. Victoria Rose is a lovely name for a little girl! Two thumbs up :-)
