Upcoming appointments this week? Not this week, but a week from today (next Wed)
Any new symptoms or changes? I thought the nausea was letting up, but Monday it came back full force, worse than ever even. I'm also getting some heartburn in the evenings, and acne continues to flare.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My rant is my mothers weird reactions to some things I say.
Like last night, I made the comment that I'm not supposed to eat deli meat unless it's been heated. And her response is, "Oh, are you sure? I've never heard of that." Yes mom, it's on the packet my doctor gave me and it's in every other material I've read. "Oh weird, I was allowed to eat lunch meat and you were just fine." It's like every little thing is a spat or a little argument. It's so annoying it makes me not want to talk to her about day to day pregnant stuff.
And my acne, keeps reminding me that she never had acne when she was pregnant. And am I sure it's not just my skincare routine. Oh. My. God.

Hm... I'm not sure what gifts I received were last minute... nothing is coming to mind right now!
Hello. I had a u/s due date of 7/17 but my doctors have yet to change it, and I'm starting to think they never will. My LMP date is 7/12, so I've decided for the sake of my sanity to move back over here.
How far along are you? 11 weeks! So close! Only one more week til the magic 12 weeks, and 3 until the magic 14. I can't wait.

Upcoming appointments this week? No, unfortunately, but I'll probably be going to blood work next
Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing really new, just the same stuff. Some m/s which is getting better. Once I wake up at 3 to go to the bathroom, I wake up every hour after that and lay in bed only half asleep from 6 until my husbands alarm goes off. Some headaches, appetite definitely coming back.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I kind of want to move Christmas to February when I'll feel better and actually enjoy it. I am never getting pregnant for a first trimester holiday season again. This is not enjoyable.
GTKY: Whats the best, or worst, last minute gift you've ever given/received? I once gave an incomplete painting to my father which I never finished. I always hand make my gifts, and I just completely ran out of time that year.

Upcoming appointments this week? Just had one yesterday!
Any new symptoms or changes? I only had minor nausea during the afternoon in the early weeks, but recently it's been coming in the morning if I wait too long before eating. I gagged twice while making a smoothie this morning, because I guess some of the kale inside the bag was spoiled, and I got a whiff of it. My sense of smell has increased overall, so that could have something to do with it. Also I know there's a big debate about "showing" or not showing, but my abdomen is definitely popping out, even though baby is still in my pelvis.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We heard baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday!! I am absolutely head over heels, and was so relieved to hear that little flutter. It took the doctor a minute to find it, but he finally found it in my lower right pelvis, beating at 166 bpm!! It was surreal. Everything feels so much more real now, I can't believe I have a tiny living and growing human inside me, with a tiny heart beating away.
GTKY: What is the best, or worst, last minute gift you've ever given/received? All of my gifts this year are last minute...I think I did a good job on my SIL who is 15 and has literally everything she could ever want/need. I got her an all-natural bath salt in a cute felt bag, and a book with recipes to make her own DIY skincare and face masks, etc.

Upcoming appointments this week? I had one on Monday, and I got to hear the heartbeat. It was magical. @kat0607 my LO was also hiding on the lower right side of my pelvis. It took her a while to find it!
Any new symptoms or changes? Constipation is real, y'all. Other than that, I am thrilled because my appetite is back. Since I barely ate anything for the last month and a half I am looking forward to all the holiday treats I missed out on over Thanksgiving.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I had a really rough (non-pregnancy related) day yesterday. Work is insane, and my sister got some alarming health news. I am really worried but trying to keep a positive attitude that everything will be ok. The only thing that made my day a little bit better was realizing that the blue cheese that I love and thought I couldn't eat is actually pasteurized. This is definitely small and stupid compared to the other things I have going on, but it made my day not as awful.
GTKY: Whats the best, or worst, last minute gift you've ever given/received? My grandfather has dementia and his health is failing pretty quickly. A couple years ago for Christmas, he gave everyone a hand carved pinnoccio to hang form our rearview mirror for good luck. He was a fantastic woodworker, and I cherish it.
How far along are you? 12 weeks!! But at my scan today baby was measuring 4-5 days ahead!!

Upcoming appointments this week? Just had my NT scan this morning. They were amazing at this office. The tech did way more than she had to and showed us everything she could (it felt more like what I assume the anatomy scan will be like, just shorter). Then the doctor came in and scanned more and even showed us some 3D images! Everything looks great. HR of 161, baby was wiggling around like crazy. Obviously I have to wait for the blood work for 'final' results but he said we definitely 'pass' the ultrasound portion.
Any new symptoms or changes? Nope. Starting to feel better and have more energy.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The doctor today at the NT scan (not my normal OB) said my BMI was too low and that I needed to get it higher ASAP. I honestly hate BMIs as a way to determine a healthy weight. It seems way off to me. I am pretty tall and have always been thin (runs in my family). My BMI is only like 19 and he said it should be 24-25, which would mean i would have to gain like 35 lbs. That just seems crazy to me.
GTKY: Whats the best, or worst, last minute gift you've ever given/received? I got my mom and sister (they live together) a roomba this year for Christmas. We have one and it is seriously my favorite 'adult purchase' (we have 2 dogs and the hair is insane). I hope they love it.

Upcoming appointments this week? Had my first ultra sound yesterday, measuring exactly on track and finally got to see little bean. It was a rough morning, I had planned on DH coming and bringing DD too, but that morning our dog had an accident and he ended up having to take her to the vet and so I dropped DD off at daycare on my way since I wasn't about to wrangle her during my ultrasound and appointment by myself.
Any new symptoms or changes? Nope. Same. Nauseated, and tired. Hungry and then eat something small, immediately full. Ugh!
Rants/Raves/Questions? One of dogs herniated her back in what the vet called a "freak accident" which caused paralcysis to her back legs. I literally spent all day crying. She's doing much better today and finally ate and went to the bathroom but she's not out of the woods yet and is on strict bed rest for 3 weeks. Which is so hard

Anyone else getting ligament pain? Mine seems worse in the evenings. Not sure if it has to do with after work and moving all day and then finally sitting or what. It's pretty painful though!

A few years ago when H and I were engaged we went to a Christmas dinner at his grandmas house. She made some comment about forgetting I was coming and then disappeared for a few minutes. She then discreetly put a gift under the tree. It was for me. It was a picture frame. I'm pretty sure it was one she was using and just took the picture out of and wrapped it!

Upcoming appointments this week? I had one today. I had an ultrasound baby has a heart rate of 153! And I did my NIPT too.
Any new symptoms or changes? Dizziness started today, which was confirmed for low blood sugar. Nausea isn't so bad anymore, I also got out my sea band and it's helped. And my skin is still ugly.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Im hungry and nothing sounds appealing to me.
GTKY: Whats the best, or worst, last minute gift you've ever given/received? The best gift I ever received was an Indian baby that my great grandmother got me for Christmas. I didn't know it at the time, I was 15 and NOT what I wanted. She got all 5 grandkids one. I held onto it for a couple of years and gave it to goodwill. I didn't want to and I did it anyway, I wish I still had it.
