Pregnant after miscarriage?

Any mommas going through this or have gone through it?  Miscarried two months ago and now pregnant.  So hard to fully celebrate a pregnancy when you know it will make a loss cut deeper.
I swear these first 12 weeks are the slowest of my life, much more so than my first successful pregnancy.

Re: Pregnant after miscarriage?

  • I had a MC in May of 2015 and got pregnant in August of 2015 and had a healthy pregnancy. My daughter is now 7 months old and completely happy and healthy. I am now pregnant again. I know it's hard to enjoy it, but do your best to focus on something else. Enjoy being around family and friends during the holidays!

  • @bringbabeh yes I've had a MC followed by a healthy pregnancy and now I'm pregnant with #2. The first tri is always the hardest but I usually suffer from PGAL brain my entire pregnancy. There's a PGAL weekly check-in. You will find a lot of support in that thread.

  • Right there with ya. I miscarried in October of this year after a text book perfect pregnancy and delivery of DS in sept of 2015. We weren't actually trying at the time but I made us realize we were ready for another baby. I didn't expect to have any problems having another baby after the first one. So now I'm having a hard time getting excited about this one. My hCG levels are great and so is my progesterone but my PGAL brain has me questioning every little thing now. It's awful. I miss the pure joy and excitement I had with my first baby :( i hear it gets better at some point
  • Miscarried in May of this year. It was my second pregnancy. First pregnancy I had ICP but delivered a healthy baby boy that was in November 2013. I told everyone pretty early the second time and then totally regretted it after the loss. I'm going to keep quiet with this pregnancy until after our first ultrasound.
  • Yup. I had a perfectly uneventful pregnancy the first time. Lost the second this July.

  • It is super hard to not get anxious after you've had a miscarriage, especially when you want a child very, very much. I had my first, got pregnant immediately after and went on to have a successful pregnancy. Then between my first and second child I had another one. Now that I'm pregnant again, some years later, I still find myself slipping into the habit and checking to make sure my breasts are still sore, or breathing a sigh of relief when I get 'morning sickness'. The first twelve weeks do drag on forever, but you just have to hope that everything will be okay!

  • Yes, we had a loss at 7 weeks in September. I have a two and a half year old and had a very textbook pregnancy and delivery. We got pregnant on the first try of TTC in August. That loss definitely knocked me back a few steps, I'm finding it hard to get excited. These weeks are CRAWLING by. I also participate in the pGAL thread.
  • I had a miscarriage when my DS was 8 months. It took a long time for us to try again. DS is 6 years old next month. I'm terrified and I've kind of not let myself completely except the pregnancy since last time it it was almost too much to bare. I will feel better when/if we make it to the 2nd trimester.
