How far along are you? 9 weeks

How big is baby? Cherry/Tater Tot

Upcoming appointments this week? Nope.  Next appointment is January 6th.

Any new symptoms or changes? Not really.  Still having good and bad days with the nausea and fatigue.

Rants/Raves/Questions?  I was freaking out a little bit yesterday thinking about how baby measured small at my last appt (measured 6+6 when I should have been 7+5).  But I realized there is literally nothing I can do.  If I don't have any signs of problems (cramps, bleeding), there's no use in worrying about it.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition?  My family celebrates on Christmas Eve and we always eat Italian Wedding Soup.  I look forward to that soup every year.  Oh and family is nice too lol.

    Edited: words.

  • Thanks for starting this @SpongeWorthy
How far along are you? 12 weeks!  Please let the nausea ease up!

    How big is baby? Plum

Upcoming appointments this week? NT scan Wednesday.  I always get so nervous for ultrasounds.

Any new symptoms or changes?  I actually am less nauseated this morning.  Which is good. I had an ugly cry breakdown Saturday because I seriously had reached the end of my rope as far as feeling like crap.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? See above.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? Eating all the delicious confections my Italian Momma makes for us.

  • How far along are you? 11 weeks

    How big is baby? Lime

Upcoming appointments this week? Tomorrow! I have an u/s and they might change my DD but I kind of like changing on Mondays so I hope it doesn't. :)

Any new symptoms or changes? Nope. I've had a cold so I don't know if I'm not feeling well from that or the pregnancy or both.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm tired of smelling everything! I'm excited but a little anxious about my u/s tomorrow. I know chances are slim that something is wrong, but it's scary bc I have no way of knowing.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? My family doesn't really have any traditions. I'm excited to start some with my child. Holidays are stressful for me bc my parents are divorced and I have to arrange Christmas with everyone and try to make everyone happy. It's exhausting and I'm so far over it. I never really cared that my parents are divorced but this is the kind of stuff that gets old.
  • @Itsnotyourturn Yay Italians!

    GL with your NT scan!

    How big is baby?  Strawberry

    Upcoming appointments this week?  Tomorrow!

Any new symptoms or changes?  I wish there were changes. I still feel awful pretty much all day, every day with nausea and stomach pain. Really hoping they can at least try to help me with the stomach pain when I go in tomorrow. @Itsnotyourturn I feel you on the ugly crying! Glad you're feeling a little better.

Rants/Raves/Questions?  Just holding out hope that I will eventually feel human again.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition?  With my husband's family, we always open stockings and then enjoy a nice brunch together before opening presents. It is such a nice way to start the day.
  • How far along are you?  10 weeks

    How big is baby?  Strawberry

Upcoming appointments this week? No. Having blood drawn and an appt next week I think.

Any new symptoms or changes?  The nausea has returned :( it disappeared for a couple weeks and now it's back. Still starving all the time.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Just. So. Tired.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? It used to be going to my parent's house on Christmas Eve and my sisters and I would all exchange one gift. Now that I am married we go to my in laws on Christmas Eve and open gifts. It's ok, but I preferred the tradition with my sisters. Now I see them on Christmas Day but it isn't the same.
  • How far along are you?  12 weeks

    How big is baby?  Plum

Upcoming appointments this week?  No, just waiting on my NIPT results!

Any new symptoms or changes?  I had a multi-day headache this weekend, and started breaking out last week - I think my zits are merging into a pimple mustache :-( Fatigue seems a bit better, but I'm still CONSTANTLY STARVING. That is exhausting, mostly because there still isn't much that I *want* to eat!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I can't remember the last balanced meal I ate.  I just snack like 24/7!

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition?  The only one we really have is going to my parents' house on Xmas. My mom is always stressed out from the company and usually gets mad and starts yelling by 4pm. Fun!

    How big is baby? Plum

Upcoming appointments this week? Not until Jan 12th

Any new symptoms or changes? Headaches still and lots of burpiness going on lol. And super cranky.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Had an appt last week and got to hear babes heartbeat 167 big relief after the surgery I was definitely stressing. Also since I won't be having another ultrasound until 20 weeks it gave me a big sigh of relief.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? Baking and decorating Christmas cookies
  • How far along are you? 11 weeks

How big is baby? A lime, or a scoop of sorbet, according to the candy conversion chart!

Upcoming appointments this week? Not for another 2 weeks and it's killing me.

Any new symptoms or changes? More nausea which seems backwards.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Little stressed. This is our much anticipated rainbow baby, and we'd planned on telling our families for Christmas. (our parents and siblings do know.) My next appointment is January 3rd, and I'm so afraid to tell people and something happen again. I feel so much more pregnant this time, if tha makes sense, so I think I'm just stressing for no reason. But it's still in my mind.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? Breakfast in my PJs with my husband. We have family obligations later in the day, but I love making breakfast for him, snuggling on the couch and opening gifts. We play Christmas music and put the you tube "crackling fire" video on the TV!
  • Hello fellow bumpies. My first ultrasound gave me a DD of 7/17 but it doesn't look like my doctors are ever going to actually change it, so I'm switching over to the Wednesday thread for the "proper" due date of 7/12. If I ever thought DD's were accurate (or all that useful) my faith in them has been lost. Anyways, it's been awesome Monday ticker change!

  • I'm more interested in keeping track of relevant development and all that, so I too am changing my ticker to reflect my O-date rather than the LMP my doctor's office is going by, since I've now had 3 ultrasounds measuring 3-5 days ahead of the official EDD!

So I think my new day will be Friday.

Upcoming appointments this week? I had a ultrasound today and my ob wants me to see a Dr at the maternal fetal care center for a genetic consult due to my dh and I having congenital heart defects when we were born. Mine was fixed as a baby and I have had no issues since and never had to see a cardiologist  but my dh has had 4 open heart surgeries by the time he was 18 years old. I'm so nervous about it and scared

Any new symptoms or changes? Nausea is basically gone

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday tradition? Every year my mom and I have a present wrapping party. It's awesome

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Nada

  • @SaphireSweetie88 - so sorry for that extra stress! How soon will you get in? I wasn't sure when they could actually start detecting that sort of thing. I hope you don't have to stress very long.
  • @SpongeWorthy and @ginger1228

Thanks! DH & I always knew there would be a increased risk of our baby having a congenital heart defect but knowing it in the back of your mind is not the same as hearing your doctor say "make an appointment with x because of the increased risk". We're trying to stay positive because both DH and I survived ours and medical technologies have advanced a lot in the past 28 years AND because the L&D ward is in Children's Hospital so we're 1 floor away from the ER if anything should happen.
