Our seven pound dog produces so much body heat. He's allowed in the bed and I guess he was cold because he was inching closer and closer to me all night. I ended up on the edge of the bed with him under my shoulder. I was sweating even though it's freezing in the house right now.
Absolutely cool @lemieuxk although you starting it gave me a minor heart attack!
Haha, I could see why! I'm still very much KU, as evidenced by tiny punches to my bladder right this second.
It's actually funny, since I hit 32 weeks the doctors have all gotten very cavalier about my potentially going into labor. I'm sure it's because it's low concern compared to much of what they see, but I feel like I have to remind them it's still not ideal at all.
DH was just asked to go on a work trip to CA/AZ (4 hour direct flight) at 36 weeks. I don't *think* it's a big deal and I think that's early enough, but just wanted to get a feel from the group on when your SOs will stop traveling for baby watch.
My H was supposed to go to training an hour and a half away next month. I said no and when he talked to his boss, they asked the due date and told him definitely not. lol If he absolutely has to travel, definitely have a plan B for everything.
@Patience7150 that's cutting it a bit close but hopefully it should be ok. I'd probably not want H traveling after 34 but mostly because of our older son and those arrangements. Does he have a choice to go or stay?
@lemieuxk, I feel like we could have a what can Lemieuxk do for you thread, and we could give you jobs like researching recipes, or online shopping, organizing our pinterest boards, etc. I can't imagine being on hospital bedrest! I could get so much done online!

Hahaha, I'm so down for that! I'm going to address all my sister's wedding save the dates and am desperate for things to do
I was finally editing my sister in laws birth photos as I am her own unofficial birth photographer, and my little girls were peeking over my shoulder. This led to a pretty awkward, I am so not good at this conversion about how babies get out of their mommies.
@kswiger06 I thought about you, and how we were both squeamish about the topic!

Glad to hear you and your family are safe @grapeskittles4lyfe! My sister went to university in Bremen and has a lot of friends living in Berlin, luckily they were all safe as well. I'll be keeping everyone impacted in my thoughts and prayers!

Did you end up telling them the real deal? I chickened out and so far they haven't asked anymore details. I prefer sticking with "there's a special hole" lol

Lmfao! My cousin's kids are 9 and 13. This is an actual fb conversation that happened: COUSIN: Whelp... everyone in my house now knows how babies are made. I was not prepared. MY MOM: I feel your pain~mine know too
For the record, I am THIRTY. Apparently it doesn't get better. Sorry ladies.
You guys, pregnancy brain strikes yet again!! I picked my daughter up from school, as she was talking to me, she said something about not going to school anymore (for break). I said "nope, you still have one more day." She said "I do? I thought we started break." And I said "No you get off thursday" well I happened to see the big sign out front and it said break 12/21 - 1/2 so I was like hmmmmmmmm... and I called the school real quick to check. Turns out my daughter was right. For weeks now, I thought they had to go Wednesday too. And now I'm just glad my daughter said something or I would have gotten up tomorrow morning, just to drive the kids to school and realize that they are out for break. My brain still can't grasp why the heck I've been set on thursday.
Reasons my pregnant self is crying: Last night I cried super hard bc H had eaten the last of the cookies that I didn't know existed and that I am not allowed to eat. (He was eating them in bed away from me because I can't have them with my GD and he didn't want to rub them in my face.) And then I laughed the whole time I cried because it was so stupid.
@gretchypoo I call that my crazy cry. I know I have to look 100% insane crying and laughing at the same time! I'm sorry you don't get any delicious cookies right now.

This was me the other night too! My husband had eaten a box of biscuits that i had bought but didnt eat because of gd & i found the packet in the recycling & cried cause i didnt get any but when he realised why i was crying declared he had eaten them for me so i wouldnt be tempted! So thoughtful of him! *major eyeroll* lol
@Patience7150 how long is your H supposed to be on this work trip? If it's a night or two, I feel like I'd be ok with it. If it's longer, nope. And if it got close to time for the trip and there were any signs I might go into labor soon, I'd also not be ok with it.
H's family's annual snowboard trip is right when I'm around 36 weeks, and I vetoed going on that. H briefly suggested he could go without me, but it's a 4-hour drive away, and if he's on the mountain (no reception) all day every day, he could very easily miss our child's birth. I also vetoed both of us going, because while there are hospitals there, I want to deliver with my MW team (plus there would literally be nothing for me to do all day while everyone was gone, and I can't drink, or go in the hot tub/sauna, or eat any of the good food because of GD. It would be super lame). And again - if I went into labor in the morning and he was on the mountain, he could miss some or all of the baby's birth.
@Janefelicity I actually asked H to not eat sweet in front of me-- this actually was him being thoughtful. And he felt SO BAD. It was hilarious and hormonal
We just got back from L&D. I was having some bleeding issues earlier today and by the time I was able to get into my OBs office, it was too late in the normal operating hours to monitor me and do an US and an internal exam so they sent me to the hospital. Everything is good and I'm home now but I really dread those long hospital monitoring stays. I had to do it a few times with my DD too for bleeding. It was scary for the first part of it because I had to drive myself alone there while DH figured out arrangements for DD and got her where she needed to go.
@fourPsinapod glad everything worked out! That is scary. Hopefully you can avoid l and d going forward until it's the real thing!
Thank you! Me too! They were really nice there though and got me out quickly so that was a plus. I was just thinking, man, my insurance needs one more good hit before the year is up lol!
Also by watching the monitor (where they show all the women hooked up to monitor contractions) and seeing what one other girl in another room was going through, I was like ohhhh nooooo.. it looked painful. Lots of hills and spikes in that graph!

Ha! I'm starting to get EOBs for all of my hospital shenanigans and my insurance company is going to HATE me!
Re: Weekly Randoms (12/19)
Aside from several glasses of wine. and hopefully trying sushi one day. I can't wait to get a full-on stretch in.
Everytime i go to stretch either I scream out in pain or remember the pain from last time before i can get there.
I can't wait to wake up an stretch my arms high over my head and extend my little toes as far away as possible. oh my that sounds glorious.
