R/R: Had such a fun night at my holiday party last night. DH came too so it was nice to have a date night. I'm so exhausted now though bc DS was up from 4-6am coughing, poor baby
CS/Q: Seriously I am so frustrated right now... Of course the month I'm scheduled to start something new my body decides to be ridiculous. I believe I Od on CD 18 but my "post O" temp is SO low. Today's was 97.17.. WTF. Now I'm not even convinced I ovulated and think I'll be calling my RE today to see how they can confirm. I'm so aggravated. Here's my chart to stalk
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? Growing up my Dad always had to have his morning coffee before we could open presents. DS is only 2 but we started the tradition last year to read the story of Jesus' birth before opening presents. I want to create more traditions as we have more kids and they get older. Curious to see other's traditions
R/R: **Going down a rabbit hole, don't read if you're having a bad day**. We are starting our 5th cycle. Not that its super long, but its longer than the average couple takes. I really thought it would happen quick for us- my whole family gets pregnant fast/by accident. My H and I eat clean, exercise, are in shape, take our vitamins, have regular sex and....nothing. I am getting scared that what if we are that 1 in 7 couple that has fertility issues and it is making me sad and scared. I know its dumb since its still early but I am a worrier by nature and I have no one IRL that I can talk to about this. I am hoping and hopeful this is our month and this cycle will be a good one but I am scared to be back here.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions?
We drive to my dads and he makes us bacon pancakes (not bacon and pancakes but bacon pancakes)
*lurking from TWW* @TravelingCouple Have you tried the trick of putting in a fake high temp tomorrow? Based on CM, OPK and temp, I would guess that O was CD18, although you may be having a bit of a slow rise.

R/R: DD and DS did not sleep well last night which resulted in me finally going to sleep on their bedroom floor at 1am, I did however remember my thermometer for today's all important temp which showed a nice spike, looks like yesterday was O day
CS/Q: I do have one today, when checking CM if it's in between what do you call it? Yesterday my cm was half way between watery and creamy...
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? As a kid open my Christmas stocking, as an adult get a cup of tea, nurse the babies then decide if hangry is going to be an issue or if breakfast can wait till after presents

@kiwi2628 I know that feeling, both of my sisters and my mom got ktfu on their first try, every time. And here here I am over a year later still waiting. It's so frustrating. Hugs lady!! Xo
@lulu1180 I did and yeah it'll give me CHs but I've never had such low post O temps..
@travelingcouple I think you just need a few more high temps! Last cycle my spike was very obvious. Now I am in the same boat as you. If I put fake temps in mine, it will give me CH with a coverline just a little different than last time. I feel your pain in this, I'm not confident I O'd either. @kiwi2628 I feel you on this. My mom got all of us on her first try on O day only and my sister had one oopsie and got her second one on her first try. @wabash15 weird, my CM was the same! In my case, I had several days of just watery before, so I marked the halfway one as creamy.
Cycle/Month:2/2
CD: 19
WAYDTGKU: temping, cm, cp, etc.
R/R: Had two people from opposite sides of the country who don't even know each other text me yesterday without even saying hi first that "I just had a dream you announced at Christmas you were pregnant" the other said "I had a dream I saw your mom out and she told me your expecting" Like what?? Even weirder, is if my temps stay up that dream would have happened for them both on my O day. I don't know if those texts made me happy or sad!
CS/Q: DH had to leave early for work and woke me up even though I slept in our guestbed to avoid this... I had to pee so I temped, got up, temped when I went back to sleep. It was .03 difference after all that movement. I then set my alarm for later by 20 min so I could get 3 hours of sleep in and my temp was high like I had hoped it would be post potential O. Is this an OK temp to use? I figured since it only changed a tiny bit while I was up and back in bed it would be ok but also wondering if I should mark it as restless sleep?
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? Gosh. i have spent the last two years at DHs family's house in FL and they go big on Christmas Eve and Christmas is low key. However, my family usually works out, coffee, presents/breakfast, get ready for company. Yes, exercise on Christmas. As my dad would say gotta burn all the calories to cover at least some of the damage done on the Holiday. So I'm sure I'll be up and at em on the treadmill... weird I know. At least my parents have a home gym.
@travelingcouple you have a temp shift I would not worry so much that they are lower than usual. Your normal till your not, but it's the shift that's important. @kiwi2628 sorry for CD 1. The average couple will be pregnant after 6mo, so your still totally normal. It can take a healthy couple up to a year, don't give up hope yet. Yes some of us need help and there is nothing wrong with that either. @lulu1180 thanks!

@wabash15@kiwi2628 my doctor told me the average healthy couple will get pregnant in a year, but even 20% of healthy couples will take longer than that. That was shocking to me. He's been around a long time too so I figured he was old and wise.
WAYDTGKU: Temping, charting, etc. I may not use OPK this time as it screwed me up last cycle.
R/R: So I read advice columnists. *TW One of them was a letter from a woman who had struggled with infertility and when her brother called to tell her about his wife's 3rd pregnancy, she burst into tears. Then: My brother told me that I can’t cry every time somebody gets what I want!
Then it was signed Eventually a Mom. *end TW. Like wtf to the entire thing - it sounded like she thought that statement was appropriate.

GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? We can't wait to start making traditions this year. This is my first year away from family and DH is jewish and was away last year so we decided to stay home. We will probably start with opening presents/stockings. DD is only getting 4 gifts- something she wants, something she needs, something to wear and something to read.

Which once you add up AF and my travel and his travel, we would have zero chance this cycle. Hopefully tomorrow is back to normal.
CS/Q: none
GTKY: We always open stockings first thing. Those are a free for all. Then, lots of times we'll do stuff like get the breakfast casserole in the oven and hang out before we start opening presents.
@wabash15 I hope you have a great appointment today and come out of it with a plan and a lot of hope!
@bwishe4 Have you contacted your doctor for a referral to an RE yet? You might call so you can at least get an appointment set. I'm not saying this cycle won't work but if it doesn't it might be some small comfort to already have an appointment on the books.

@TravelingCouple I think you o'd. As I'm sure you know, it isn't unusual to have this kind of temp rise. I'd put your coverline about 97.05 and you have a nice spike between cd18 and cd19.
@kiwi2628 Oh no! So sorry to see you back here. Hugs. And welcome to the "worrying that you are a broken human" club
@wabash15 Good luck today! We'll be thinking of you cycle buddy
@bswishe4 Sorry you're at a year -- hugs, that is such a hard milestone.
@haylsbayls That's what's missing from Christmas morning -- champagne! Yes!
WAYDTGKU: Temping,
CM, PNVs, CoQ10, vitamin D, green tea, avoiding soy. Oh, and sneaky sneeeeeeaky boning at my parents' house.
R/R: So relieved that I heard yesterday from my doctor -- my MRI showed my ovaries and uterus are all normal, no masses, not even any large enough endometriosis to see. Nothing visibly, structurally wrong. SUCH A RELIEF.
Plus, even though I realize this is ridiculous because nothing has actually changed, I feel so much more hopeful for this cycle now, like there's no excuse! Let's get this BFP show on the road! (I fully realize that this just means I will be even more disappointed when I am inevitably not pregnant, just like I was in cycle 3 when I convinced myself I was PG and in cycle 5 when I was really desperate before TTA). But anyway, happy for now.
CS/Q: Temp spike today so I think yesterday was the day! Which is great because despite being at my parents' house, we still hit 0 and -1 (plus -4 back at home). DH even asked me about the temp spike this morning because, and I quote, "I don't want to have a bunch more awkward silent sex with your parents downstairs." We obviously had very different reactions to sneaking in some FW sex this time...
GTKY: My dad makes an egg casserole with green chiles, sausage and hashbrowns every Christmas morning. It's one of my favorite breakfasts in the world!
WAYDTGKU: Nothing this month. Picking it back up next month.

GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? DH and I are not huge holiday people, so we don't really have any traditions. We usually just eat breakfast, exchange gifts, and then just try to hide out for as long as we can until we need to do holiday things.

@adirat I got CH today (albeit dotted), so I will be moving to TWW but haven't posted yet. FF really does not like me this month, plus my temp today was same as yesterday.. haven't had the big jump yet that I usually do. I have been sleeping in a much colder room the last few nights, so I'm not sure if that really affects temp, but anyway... see you in TWW soon!
@kiwi2628 I'm in the exact same emotional boat with you today. Cheer up!

Thanks ladies for all the love today. The appointment went well. They took a bunch of blood and DH gave his sample. I was originally scheduled for an US today (I even shaved and painted my toenails, because I can't have somebody do a transvaginal US and look all janky!) but they pushed my US to a baseline for early next cycle. The RE didn't feel like we had to do much testing since so much was done before, so that's great we would be able to jump into treatment next cycle. The only catch is that I have to wean the twins. Hearing that made me burst out in tears, though I suspected they might say I had to wean. BF has been an challenging, emotional, amazing journey. I knew that we would probably be coming to the end but had hoped to let them choose when they were done. The RE was great about it and said we can start when ever I'm ready. Now I just have to figure out when that is... Holy crap ladies, I left the Dr apt just over an hour ago and just got a call, DH's SA is normal and all my baseline blood work is normal, the only thing pending is my AMH because they are sending it out to a different lab.
@bswishe4 hugs, that 12mo milestone is a tough one. I agree with PP it would be worth pursuing an evaluation with an RE
@kiwi2628 sorry you're having a rough day, and fx this is your cycle
@wabash15 I hope your appointment goes well today!
@laurad75 agreed on Christmas and sex week being the most wonderful time of the year! Also, I love your Christmas sweaters, I've been wearing them every day in December but they're not as good as yours
@kiwi2628@mispanda sorry about the CD1s. Drink all the wine today ladies! @wabash15 Sorry about the bad sleep last night, but hurray for getting your test results back so soon, with good news to boot! I've always heard you record the most fertile CM. So if it's between the two you choose the more fertile of the two. @spiderlover25 I love the 4 present idea. I tend to spoil my DD though and get her way too many presents. Only child woes. @laurad75 Nice sweater @adirat lol my H loves to BD in other people's homes. Thanks ladies for the feedback! I'm very thrown off and need more advice...I've been taking OPKs since my supposed O and yesterday's was slightly less negative and today's was nearly positive again! Now I am so torn. Do I start the progesterone tonight or not? If I start it and I haven't ovulated, I'm not sure if that will prevent me from eventually ovulating. I called my RE to schedule blood work to confirm O which I will be going in for tomorrow AM. However, the results won't come back until Friday morning. The nurse couldn't tell me whether or not I should start the progesterone either since they haven't confirmed O. If I don't take the progesterone now and I did ovulate, that will be 5 key DPO that I missed taking it. I feel like ripping my hair out! The only thing different this month is the HSG - did anyone else have a weird cycle the same month of your HSG? I have never had multiple OPK surges in the 3 years I've been charting. I know you're reg until you're not but that is the only thing different this month so I'm wondering if there's a correlation. I don't know, maybe this month will be a wash and next month will be more clear. Feeling extremely frustrated. I was so excited to start something new this month and now I feel it'll be a wasted month.
@adirat I literally burst out laughing at your post! That was much needed.
Month/Cycle: 3/4

WAYDTGKU: I'm really bumming myself out lately with my thyroid issues and worrying (as well as having my second day of the lightest period in the world and wondering if I'll make it to 3 days this cycle), so this month I'm taking my pnv's (hubby finally got on his vitamin) and just having sex for fun, when I feel like it. I'll still temp for record keeping purposes, but I'm not stressing over my O date this month and I'm not using my OPK's. I mentally need this or I will start being a super cranky fussy face to everyone and that's not fun at all.
R/R: my job has me totally stressed out. I try not to be negative, but this is the worst season I've seen, and my CEO actually told me people were going to be laid off in the new year, so I'm trying my best not to lose my shit. Commence job hunting when the last fourteen times I've done this has yielded nothing.
CS/Q: I am patiently waiting to see if my chart resumes biphasic patterns this month.
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions?
Have a mimosa and a huge country breakfast followed by gift giving. My favorite tradition is having Chinese food for dinner. @ChefRamsay I had to come back and edit to add your tag; my H turned me onto eating Chinese for Christmas dinner, how long have you been doing that?
@kiwi2628 I know exactly what you mean. I have my own idea in my head that if you're doing what most of us here do - timed intercourse and temping to confirm O - the odds should actually be better than the "average" because a lot of couples out there aren't doing what we are. It sucks to get to that 6th month or later and feel like you're failing.
@travelingcouple my HAG did not throw me off but I know some ladies have said that it messed with their cycles. I talked with my RE about progesterone supplementation, she said their is no evidence that it helps but there is also no evidence that it hurts... so she will still put me on it when the time comes. I don't think delaying the start for a few days will make a big difference. Sorry it so stressful and unclear

@TravelingCouple Have you tried the trick of putting in a fake high temp tomorrow? Based on CM, OPK and temp, I would guess that O was CD18, although you may be having a bit of a slow rise.

WAYDTGKU: hopefully even more things! The day of our RE appointment has finally arrived!! Enough of this having sex to make a baby, it's time to get down to brass tacks and make this shit happen

@lulu1180 I did and yeah it'll give me CHs but I've never had such low post O temps..
@wabash15 good luck today!!

@kiwi2628 sorry for CD 1. The average couple will be pregnant after 6mo, so your still totally normal. It can take a healthy couple up to a year, don't give up hope yet. Yes some of us need help and there is nothing wrong with that either.
@lulu1180 thanks!

CS/Q: not yet
GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? We have always woke up super early to open presents then I get to cooking a big feast for the whole family.
@kiwi2628 I'm sorry for CD 1 and that you're having a hard day. I felt that way at the start of this cycle too but now I'm feeling more optimistic.

@bwishe4 Have you contacted your doctor for a referral to an RE yet? You might call so you can at least get an appointment set. I'm not saying this cycle won't work but if it doesn't it might be some small comfort to already have an appointment on the books.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, PNVs, CoQ10, vitamin D, green tea, avoiding soy.

GTKY: What's the first thing you do on Christmas morning? Any Christmas morning traditions? DH and I are not huge holiday people, so we don't really have any traditions.
