Sex, anyone?

My poor husband.  We are in a little reconnecting binge after our hiccup the other day (read: he's in the dog house and sucking up) and I have been... needy.... to say the least.  Anyone else switch between "get me a bucket" and "take off your pants" on a dime?  I just hope they never overlap.... ew.

Re: Sex, anyone?

  • Yes. I have been like that a few times already lol.  Dh does not seem to mind the "I want sex NOW" moments though haha

  • My H has pretty much begged. I frequently use the "I'm too nauseated." excuse. Works like a charm.

  • @dancegurl1118, so much truth in this meme! Haha.

I'm 9+3 and and JUST starting to feel like I maybe want to think about sex again...I normally have a pretty high sex drive, so it's actually one of the early indicators of pregnancy for us when mine tanks out. Luckily my husband is very patient with me and, while he'll ask, he never pushes when I say no and we've talked candidly about why it's down and that it has nothing to do with him (something we struggled a bit with in my first pregnancy).

I will say, I can feel it starting to come back, especially if my overly hormonal self watching romantic movies or something, but my husband is out to sea right now and will be until pretty close to Christmas, so I can't indulge those feelings for a little while yet, even when I do have them. Here's to hoping they stick around at least until he comes home! Haha.

  • Haha yes!!! So funny I'm not the only one. I'll be all "Honey,  I can't get off the couch" to tearing off his clothes an hour later. Hasn't been happening all that often,  mind you. But when it does,  it's pretty intense haha.

  • I was too scared to do anything until I had my first OB appt. Friday, but I got the all clear. I normally have a really high sex drive, but until Saturday, I really never felt like I wanted anything once I hit week 5. Maybe it was because I was so mentally terrified of it. Haven't felt like doing anything again since Saturday. Probably wouldn't at all except that he's begging and I love him and feel bad.

  • @dancegurl1118 HAHA that meme is so me.

Im 9w5d today and also have had zero drive pretty much since I got my BFP. DH is understanding but lately he's been bringing it up more, and I have obliged a few times. Poor guy...
  • That meme is my husband lol. I guess he planted his seed so no need for sex anymore lol he's a weirdo and he doesn't like the idea of a baby being there so I guess he's gonna have to wait til after baby is born and if he's okay with that I don't care lol
  • My DH is turned on by the fact that i am pregnant! He's funny! I don't have morning sickness, so I haven't found a reason to say no yet. I can't use the "it's my fertile week" excuse anymore!!! That was always my go to!

  • @dancegurl1118  I chuckled when I saw this coz I totally feel like that too haha poor hubby.
  • Me right now at the mention of sex:

This was me with Both pregnacies now. Never once have I had the urge while being pregnant. HAHAHAH! His birthday is in a few months..maybe I'll be feeling better by then. LOL
  • I'm just saying ladies, an orgasm is a great way to release endorphins and feel good even for a short time.... worst case you can barter for a foot rub?
  • I definitely need some sex right about now. Though it probably has nothing to do with being ku.... my husband's out of state assignment was extended from 4 nights to 6 and we hadn't gotten it on for probably a week before that. He's not going to know what hit him tomorrow!

I get foot rubs without putting out! Hehe
  • I've been on pelvic rest for almost 3 weeks. If I get the green light on Friday, we are coming home and immediately making up for lost time.
  • After my last baby I was so happy we got the green light 2 wks pp, pelvic rest is for the birds!

    WOW. I just...wow. You're amazing!
  • Haha!  After my first two, it took months for me to feel comfy down there.  I finally decided to go natural and voila! No tearing, no swelling, nothing.  She felt right as rain after a couple days!
  • Hey ladies we just had sex for the first time since Bfp, Drs orders. And although we took it easy it was a little tender/sore during and after.. is this normal?

I've been fighting a cold since a week after my BFP (I'm finally starting to feel better) and been so so exhausted, sex was the last thing on my 'to do' list, LOL.  But, when we finally did, best night of sleep either of us has had in weeks!

  • I love my H, but seriously, man? You come and bug me when I'm obviously getting ready for bed because you're frisky? The pregnant lady is TIRED and CRANKY. Stop touching me.

TTC: 1/2014 BFP: 9/24 EDD: 6/8/2015 Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
  • Even I have a sex gripe today.  Twice while I'm trying to sleep, getting all handsy and waking me up.  When I'm not pregnant I might like this sort of thing, but when I'm finally in the peaceful bliss of sleep, it's just rude.
  • Been 2 months and 2 days.  So basically since the night that made me end up knocked up.  With my first I had no interest.  Second, all the time.  This one, meh.  I will give in this weekend though.  Poor guy.

  • I feel so terrible, nauseous, sex is the last thing I feel like. I can't even kiss my husband on the mouth because it makes me want to puke. I guess we made up for it trying for months before we finally got pregnant? Hoping for a 2nd trimester upswing in this dept.
  • I had so many friends tell me how horny they were their first trimesters so I was hoping it would happen to me.  It's the last thing on my mind and I feel bad for DH!  I came off the birth control and it changed my life.  I didn't realize how much havoc it was reeking on my sex drive (I mean I knew, but I didn't think it was that bad)  We had sex all the time.  Then you start attempting to procreate and that week of ovulation it's literally every day!  Haha!

Then I got pregnant and it's been downhill ever since.  He doesn't pressure (that's not even the right word) but I feel terrible about it.

  • Im currently hiding on the couch since DH can't hold out any longer. Having no sex drive is THE WORST. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who hides/fakes sleep/fakes sick to avoid sex?!?

A little bit of pain is normal, but for any of you on the fence, morning sex kind of fixed my morning m/s problem. I'm sure it won't last forever, but while most mornings I can't move my head without gagging, I was able to make pancakes this morning. PANCAKES. This is a massive improvement.
Lol, this is pregnancy right here. Talking about sex and winding up at pancakes. Love it!!
