Today is our six year wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go to Magic Kingdom but I got some cold crud from my son. So we are hanging at home to get all better.
We've been iced in at me In laws house since yesterday. The boys got out today to get lunch and roads are still pretty bad. Our extended family Christmas tonight was cancelled due to the weather. We are supposed to go to my Dad's tomorrow for Christmas then 2 hours home but we are playing it by ear. Luckily I don't mind being snowed in at my in laws. They are so amazing with the kids it's like being on vacation. Snacks are running low so I may have to make my husband risk his life for a grocery trip. The baby needs some Cheetos lol.
I only have my kids left to shop for which has been hard since they are always with me. I hired a baby sitter Wednesday morning to finish up for them. They are super easy so one trip to toys r us and maybe target should do it.
DH goes out of town once a year with his best friend to see Trans Siberian and hang out. We got an ice storm so I agreed to stay inside because he is so afraid I will fall when I am alone with my 3 yo so we baked cookies, played, wrapped gifts, and are now watching the Little Mermaid. She has never seen it and it is one of my favorites.
We just took my son to meet Santa. Didn't go well but I held him to get a picture cause that's all I was after. All three of us are going to get haircuts next and then out to dinner. Tomorrow will be Christmas cookies and candy making day inside away from the ice storm. Ugh winter you suck.
Looks like there are a bunch of us with cold, icy weather!
DS stayed at my parents last night, but we didnt do anything special with our free time...I've been sick since Tuesday. But it was nice to save my voice and energy. We started "This is Us"...why did no one warn me about this!?
Today is my birthday. Going out to a fancy French place for dinner. Only down side is going to a French place without wine. This tragedy has not escaped me.

I adore "This is Us", but definitely had those tear jerking moments. Just like Parenthood
Just spent the day at a family Christmas party. Everyone got along, the food was great, and my 90 year old grandparents were super happy. DS was very well behaved and is currently asleep. Also he wore this ridiculous outfit so the day was perfect.
We have our next door neighbors' Christmas party tonight (bummer bc it's one of the only nights DH and I could both drink and not worry about transportation home!). And tomorrow we'll head to my parents' for Christmas with my Mom's side of the family. Should be fun to tell everyone about baby.
We were going to go to my brothers house for a Christmas party but they live a little over 2 hours away so we decided not to go with the snow. Which is fine because I can't drink and I've had a headache all day! I have gotten a lot done around the house yesterday and today. Including a nap! Tomorrow we are going to see the new Star Wars movie!
We had a little freezing rain last night, but nothing to write home about. I was hoping for some good ice/snow and hoping to end up having a delay for school on Monday!
Feel like I totally scored at Target today. They have all baby, toddler, and kids pjs on sale 50% off. That also included baby sleep and plays. Most of them are around 7.99 each. I bought 1 of each they had for baby girls. Then they're also doing bogo %50 off kids clothes. So every other outfit was an extra 50% the sale price. As far as I'm concerned that's a heck of a deal.
my son had a sleepover with my dad last night so DH and I could go to the last night of our curling league for the winter session (I didn't actually get to curl, but I got to be the league photographer, and then we had a yankee swap, etc after). We ended up getting snow last night, and because it's the weekend towns took their sweet time plowing out. I ended up getting a kid free day, where I was completely lazy and took multiple naps on the couch while I watched Christmas movies. We made Christmas cookies before bed, and tomorrow I'm working. Still not finished with Christmas shopping, but I think at this point we just need to finish up stockings, and I need to get something small for DH (we are not really doing anything for each other this year because he's out of work and we're on a very limited budget...and we want the kids to still have a decent Christmas).
I just spent over 14 hours between 2 different airports traveling home for Christmas. I am really needing a cocktail. On the plus side, my mom is cooking dinner for the next week and a half.
Ha! I have not worked on Xmas gifts since Oct 1. (Local artists fair.) I only have about half my required list covered. Ugh. Also I ended up going in to work today since I was sick sun/mon/tues , so much for getting a nice restful weekend . I suppose there's always tomorrow for some amazon shopping and chores.
I work this weekend so I'm on night 2 of 3 right now. We have a Christmas tomorrow that I'm hoping to at least stop by for a little bit.
Also, it's going to be so freaking cold when I get off work that I'm really not looking forward to even going to my car. I wish I could just stay at home in my pajamas until the temperature gets to be at least above freezing.
@FSUNole31 I'm feeling a better today. We are going to do a redo and go to Epcot today. I was surprised we were able to get some decent fast passes so hopefully that means it won't be too crazy. Glad you guys had fun!
Crazy weekend with Christmas parties and dinners! I haven't been bumping!! I missed all the excitement. I had a chance to quickly read and didn't have time to respond to anything until now.
Its crazy cold cold here in the mitten and we are getting some snow. Thank God we are heading to Florida next week!!
We've been crazy busy all weekend too. Yesterday we had our daycare Christmas get together (small at home daycare). She takes us to a pottery shop and pays for the kids to all paint one piece for home. We have snacks and share gifts. She's the best. After we had lunch with friends. Yesterday evening we were at our best friends house for a Christmas/birthday get together. Came home at 11pm and now up for Christmas over at my in laws all day! Phew. I'm exhausted already.
@Assiram42 I've been organizing too! We have to move furniture around to make room for baby stuff and I want to do it now!! I've just been organizing closets and drawers and de cluttering instead!
I can't seem to get it in gear. Yesterday I was getting a lot done. Today...zip. I seem to need a lot more rest this pregnancy and when my body says stop, I get stuck. Someone kick me off the couch to do the laundry, make cookies, wrap presents, and do all of the stuff that needs to be done. This week will suck way more if I don't get something done right now.
I am at my parents house for our extended family Christmas party. DH took DD back home, and my Mom and I are are going to Waco for a few days to go to Magnolia Market. I'm so excited!
Dear goodness gracious, I'm siting here sobbing...

After weeks and weeks of friends telling that I just had to watch This Is Us... I don't know if it is just being pregnant, being a parent, being a mother of multiples, or all the above... but ugh... that first episode just gave me all the feels. I worry each and every day about the children that I have and the little boy growing inside me, I just can't even begin to fathom... big tears.
Just finished day 2 at Disney. It is exhausting normally, but I am feeling it way more now with number 3 on the way. It is also making me question if we can handle it with 3!

Perks of working on a postpartum unit that also takes antepartums? We have a couple dopplers on the floor. I got to listen to the little peanut for a few minutes tonight. Such a glorious sound!
@michaela0704 I cry at just about every episode of This is Us. I don't know if it's pregancy hormones or what, but DH cried at the first episode too. That one was extremely emotional I think for anyone who has kids.
Re: Weekend Happenings
We are in a Winter weather advisory, it is 5*, but feels like -16, so we are hanging inside!
I just finished last bit of shopping online, now I just need a few more stocking stuffers and I am done.
I took the kids to the mall to finish some shopping, terrible idea. Now off to Christmas supper #1, then lefsa making tomorrow!

Left ft my house at 6am. Currently sitting through 1.5 hours of 500s, during which I will have one swimmer compete- and finish in under 6:00.
Hoping to get home around 10. Have to get up and do it all again tomorrow. But tomorrow I get to drag my six year old out of the house at 6am as well.
One of these years I'm going to cave and just get a hotel.
