I'm 10.5 weeks today. Developed a rash on my chest about 2 weeks ago. Didn't really think much of it, thought maybe eczema but it's not itchy. I'm a nurse so I was talking to one of the doctors at work about it amd showed him pictures and he thinks it's pityriasis rosea. Of course I can't find anything positive about this condition and pregnancy! I left a message at my OBs office to hopefully squeeze me in today as my rash as gotten worse in the last 24 hours. Has anyone else dealt with this before? I need to hear some good news this morning. First pregnancy and I'm freaking out about it. Being hormonal doesn't help either!

@bigj4 I had this about 10 years ago - got a bunch of misdiagnoses in the US - they thought it was scabies then ringworm... I went to see my dermatologist in the Caribbean - I had it all over my trunk with the telltale herald patch on my back. He prescribed a topical ointment, no oral antibiotics, and it cleared up quickly. I recommend seeing a dermatologist in person for diagnosis. Especially since you don't want to be taking antibiotics unnecessarily. I don't know about the implications for pregnancy though.
Edit: herald not emerald
For me personally, it was extremely itchy but lasted a week or so then it disappeared. Glad to hear you aren't itchy as that was the worst part!
