Re: Friday Ticker Change 12/16
Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival? I think so! We've done everything we possibly could be be ready.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: I am not sleeping much anymore. I feel so uncomfortable now and can't get into a comfy position. Also heartburn has been awful at night. I threw up earlier this week because it was so bad.
When's your next appointment? Wednesday! DH and I have a childbirth class at our hospital all day on Saturday, and we get a tour, so I am excited about that.
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go? Pretty much. There's some items that we need to put in as we are leaving, but I have them on a checklist so they'll be easy to grab.

34 weeks! Five to go!!
Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival?
Oh hell no. I did finally get the clothes washed and put up and away, along with all the bedding and did get some baby essentials like diaper cream and lotion. The fabric for the curtains/bumpers will be in this week so while I'm off for the next 1.5 wks I'll get that done, along with hanging the artwork, putting the crib back to baby mode instead of toddler. We're getting there! Technically, I could have a baby, but it's not where I want it to be.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms:
Just tired and feeling like a baby elephant. One day last week was rough--nausea, pain, etc. Just bad. Most of the time now it's just hoo-ha pain and lower back pain.
When's your next appointment?
Tuesday
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go?

Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival? Dear God no! We finished our lamaze classes this week, took a hospital tour and preregistered. I got all of my paperwork done for my maternity leave and scheduled a few appointments to meet with pediatricians next week. We still have a lot of work to do with his room. At least we have everything we need (I think) as far as furniture, clothes, diapers, etc. Now it's just a matter of putting it all together.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: The heartburn and acid reflux at night is killing me. I always end up moving downstairs to the couch in the middle of the night so I can sleep propped up against the chaise. It was so bad on Monday I actually threw up a little. Overall I'm just very tired and cranky. We still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do but I'm just not feeling it this year.
When's your next appointment? Thursday to get tested for the Group B virus.
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go? It's out and I started it but it's not finished.
36 weeks! Baby's started getting more hiccups and is still LOVING my right ribs.
Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival?
Ehhhh. Pretty much. We have all the big stuff but need to assemble the crib and get a few small things. Mentally prepared not so much!
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms:
I'm having some pretty awful stomach muscle pain that all the walking I'm still doing seems to be causing. One week till I go on maternity and can take things easier!
When's your next appointment?
Doula appt tomorrow and midwife appt on Wednesday!
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go?
Ive packed all the essentials but need to wash baby's coming home outfit and pack/ buy a few more nice to have things.
How far along are you today? What's new with your little babe?
34 weeks! 6 weeks to go... Just 42 more days... hahaha!
Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival?
So ready. I literally have nothing left to do at this point and so it is making time go extremely slowly.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms:
Heartburn and throwing up are the 2 worst symptoms. I quit taking my zantac today and started prilosec so we will see if that helps with the heartburn without the chest pains that the zantac was giving me. I don't know why I am throwing up. Last week, it was due to the horrible heartburn, but it seemed better once the zantac had that under control. Now, the last 2 days I have been throwing up again.
When's your next appointment?
Next Thursday. Group B strep test and than no more appointments until the new year.
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go?
Nope. Haven't even started. I have put a few thoughts into what I will pack, but I haven't actually packed yet. Maybe next week at 35 weeks. I washed the car seat (used for DS4) but we still haven't installed it in the car yet. For hospital bag, I also need to pack a bag for the boys to go to my moms house. I feel like I am more worried about that bag than I am what I will need at the hospital.
BFP#5 5/22/17 EDD:1/27/17 It's a GIRL!!!!
34 weeks! Due Jan 27, seems so far away still! Baby is the size of a squash!
Are you now fully prepared for the baby's arrival?
I think so! We are leaving the place we have been living the past two months, returning to our 'real' house where all the baby stuff is. Excited to get back and look at it all again.
Rants / Raves / Questions / Symptoms: Had my first BH contractions this week.
Rib pain has subsided (knock on wood, guess that might mean that baby has flipped), and I've been trying to take it easy (no big workouts, no extended walking) to help with the hip pain and that has helped! Using a magic bag on my hips/pelvis has been wonderful.
When's your next appointment?
Dec 27 with my maternity clinic. Then go to weekly appts.
GTKY: Is your hospital bag packed and ready to go?
Not yet, I'll do that next week once we are home. I want to get a nice robe for at the hospital. Baby's bag is packed and the car seat is installed though! I have a 2001 Xterra so it doesn't have the little metal car seat clips in the seat so we had to do the old school seatbelt-through-the-car-seat method. Has anyone else had to do this?
