Is it normal to NOT experience mood swings?

I am at the beginning of my 9th week and I am a worrier as it is (as I'm anxiously waiting for my next ultrasound to make sure Tad is still doing okay) but I haven't had some of the symptoms women usually get like morning sickness, mood swings, or that dark line on your belly? I know these are caused by an increase in hormones but since I'm not experiencing them, I'm worried my hormone levels aren't adequate which I know leads to miscarriages.

Should I be worried? Anyone else in the same boat and baby doing okay??

I'm 11 weeks and just got my Panorama back showing the baby is chromosomally normal. I've become way less irritable during pregnancy than in normal life. I swear my monthly hormone flunctuatioms hit me way harder than the pregnancy hormones. Though I will say my anxiety is way worse- but that could also be PGAL brain.

  • I asked my husband if I was Moody and he said he liked me better pregnant because I was less irritable (but we also thought that might be a medication too that I was taking befote I found out I was pregnant)

    Thanks for your reply!

  • @RunRestRepeat - I also have no morning sickness, no mood swings, and other than sleeping more than usual (8.5 hours instead of 7) and getting hungrier than usual at meal times, I have no symptoms! But just had a great ultrasound at 10+4 yesterday with a great heart rate and 2 arms + 2 legs waving all around! The tech busted out laughing at me because my first response was "Whoa there's someone in there!" Without the ultrasound I would barely know.

@Cait32 they started with an external Doppler in the exam room and couldn't hear anything (which happens a lot at 10 weeks) so then I went over the imaging area and got an external ultrasound which showed everything perfectly. I had a full bladder which helps with external ultrasound, but I think it would have been fine without it because we saw the baby clearly at 8+6 with an external ultrasound also. Good luck today!!  <3
  • My first pregnancy (Sep 15 mama) was so easy! Seriously, I was that pregnant woman that everyone hated haha. Never had a single "normal" pregnancy symptom. I was happy, energetic, had no cravings, no nausea, only gained 18 pounds, no stretch marks, no mood swings. It was seriously the best experience ever. If you're lucky enough to be symptom-free, just enjoy it. Every pregnancy is different. This round, I'm nauseous and tired and pukey and my sense of smell is slowly killing me. I should've appreciated my easy first pregnancy just a little bit more!
  • @ktewart Congrats on twins, I can't believe it!
