Re: Wednesday ticker change 12/14
Upcoming appointments this week?
Question: Is there a definite answer of when the second trimester actually begins? I asked my doctor and they said they consider it at the beginning of 13 weeks, but everywhere else I look it seems like 14 weeks. Did a guideline change or something?
I would say I'm more of a mix of their personalities (which are opposite of each other), but I would say more like my dad in the end. I am practical, straightforward, creative at probpem solving and research-driven. I enjoy the outdoors and don't mind the cold (helpful in AK) I love my family but have a hard time expressing it with words, so I go out of my way to show them with actions.

A lemon!
Had one yesterday and got to hear the hb for the first time which was wonderful!
Nope.
I finally told my co-workers today and that was fun! I brought a Panera pastry ring and put a note above it that said, "Eat up! My mom doesn't want to be the only one with a belly around here. - Baby G" Everyone was so sweet and excited! I love how much people love babies.
I am pretty different from both but most like my dad. He had a personal drive in his career that took him from basically a janitor to owning that same company 30 years later. My trajectory hasn't been quite as impressive but I have an internal motivation to succeed very similar to his. I also have his temper, unfortunately.

Next Wednesday, I have my sixteen-week midwife appointment.
I'm definitely starting to waddle. I'm trying to hold out as long as possible because of my back issues (bulging discs, degenerative disc disease), but it's becoming increasingly more difficult. I'm getting a belly harness soon; it's on order from my osteopath, so hopefully that will help (although my belly isn't THAT big, so I don't know). The nausea seems to be subsiding, but it's not gone yet.
The nausea is worst on the train ride into work in the morning, which is when I want to be working on my writing. It's really frustrating because I have never had motion sickness before. So all I can do is sit there and listen to podcasts (which isn't, I guess, all bad!).
And the babies are in there tickling me a lot. HEE HEE! Love their little flashes of squirmings.
I'm going to pretend that I'm nothing at all like my mother, who is selfish, controlling, and loves guilt tripping. I'm like my father in that I try to see the best in people, and I have a tendency to play "devil's advocate" when someone's acting like a real jerk. And I can kind of be a doormat... Although I've tried to work on those things, so I'm getting better. (And yes, I'm trying to watch out for my mom's traits, too... I sure hope I'm succeeding.)
