  How far along are you? 17 weeks
  
  How big is baby? The size of a pomegranate. 

  
  

  Appointments this week? I had one yesterday and things are looking good. Baby was moving a ton! 

  
  

  Sex of Baby? Team Green

  
  

  Symptoms? I'm starting to feel better at this point. The nausea isn't coming as often and I'm not as tired as I've been. 

  
  

  Rant/Rave/Questions? I don't know where this falls, but as stated above we are Team Green. MH really wanted a "money shot" at my appointment yesterday and I obliged and had the doctor get him two. Granted I do not know how to read ultrasounds, but in one shot it looks like there could be something and in the other I'm not so sure. It doesn't make me want to know anymore, but MH is itching to know! Unfortunately if he found out by himself he would spill the beans, so that's not an option.

  Since I started this thread, we disagree. I grew up with them being wrapped and he grew up with them unwrapped. I never knew that was a thing and thinks it takes away from the surprise of the gift(s).

  Symptoms?  Not a lot.  My friends say I am really irritable.  I am still getting occasional headaches.

  Appointments this week? Had the anatomy scan Monday. All was well. Recheck in 4 weeks to check the low placenta. Praying it moves up. Doc said it usually does. 

  
  

  Sex of Baby? Boy number 3!!!

  
  

  Symptoms? The headaches are sharp and painful on the left side every single day. I'm trying today to drink insane amounts of water and it's dull today so maybe that's the answer.

  We just had this discussion Sunday. We ended up wrapping. I think part of the fun and magic of it is anticipation and opening the gift. So that's what we chose to do. Santa has special wrapping paper.

  @mamatowildones I totally agree! It's so fun to unwrap and see their reactions. Santa uses the same paper as us in our house. We may have to explain that when DD gets older.

  Appointments this week? Nope, but I have my anatomy scan on the 28th. 

  
  

  Sex of Baby? Team green and holding strong so far. 

  
  

  Symptoms? Nausea's gone and I'm pooping regularly (tmi?). FINALLY. I wish I could have margarita to celebrate, haha. Otherwise I'm feeling great and occasionally feel light baby movement/flutters. DH can't wait until he can feel kicks on the outside.

  
  

  Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm excited to have my side of the family visit this weekend for our annual December birthday/Christmas bash (real Christmas is with the in-laws this year, and my entire fam was born in December). But I've never hosted a Christmas gathering in a tiny a$$ apartment that involved toddlers... does anybody have good indoor Christmas activity suggestions?

  Definitely wrapped, if they can be wrapped. Big things are fine to leave unwrapped. I remember realizing that Santa didn't exist when I found "Santa's" stash of unwrapped gifts under my parents' bed. Serves me right for snooping I guess, but I don't want my kids to learn the truth about Santa that way.

  Lurker, so sorry to jump in. I am just surprised that I have gone 30 years and had no idea that some people do not wrap some of their gifts. For those who were team unwrapped can I ask why those gifts are not wrapped but others are?

  @Louise_Belcher my family has always done unwrapped because Santa just pulls the gifts from his sack and lays them out.  I assumed everyone left them unwrapped because most movies you see Santa leaves them unwrapped.  For example, The Santa Clause with Tim Allen.

  GTKY: Since MH and I disagree, are presents from Santa wrapped or unwrapped in your house?   All presents get wrapped.  But my mom takes care of the Santa presents, not us, so I don't really have anything to do with that.  My mom is all about Santa and stockings and stuff, which makes my life easy.

  I've been kind of MIA lately but here goes..

  Appointments this week?

  had one just this past Wednesday - heartbeat still good, so yay! 
  
  

  Sex of Baby? We will probably find out at our Jan 4th appt at the anatomy scan

  
  

  Symptoms? still some protein food aversion but otherwise feeling pretty good.  I have felt movement for quite a while now (probably way earlier than you're "supposed" to) - as in the feeling of the baby turning around in there, but just this week I started noticing more frequent pokes/jabs that I equate with baby kicks.

  
  

  Rant/Rave/Questions? Just waiting on some test results to make sure all is well with the baby.  Apparently I'm a carrier of a glycogen storage disease and waiting to see if H is - it's highly unlikely that we both are carriers for the same genetic disease, but you never know.  Also just had the 2nd blood draw for the sequential screen to detect chromosomal abnormalities, spina bifida and the like so hopefully that turns out just fine.

  Definitely wrapped unless they are too big to be easily wrapped (like a bike or something of that nature). I haven't thought much about using just one special wrapping paper.  Our one child is only 2 so we still have time to figure out those details!
