Low blood sugar

Hi mommies,

I have a problem but not but not sure if it's serious and something I should worry about. I keep having a low blood sugar. This happens weekly and sometimes multiple times a week with low blood sugar symptoms. I left a message for the nurse but still unsure if this would be a true problem as I don't want to be a "pest" to my doctors office.

Re: Low blood sugar

  • I was always hungry while I was pregnant and would get shaky if I hadn't eaten in awhile. Try eating small snacks throughout the day. That should keep your blood levels steady.

  • Do you have a DM or GDM diagnosis? Are you checking your blood sugar or just feel jittery/shaky/otherwise "low?" Either way it may be worth mentioning. However if you're a diagnosed diabetic this is worth talking about more urgently. Either way focus on small snacks throughout the day that include both carbs and protein. The protein will help keep your BG steady longer.
