Re: Monday Ticker Change 12.12
Oh and last night I passed a largish kidney stone. But since I'm so close to the due date, I refused to take anything for it. My pain control technique was tylenol, heating pad, and rolling on the floor in pain. So between that, the contractions, and this baby literally kicking the crap out of me, I am miserable right now. I don't want to do this for two more weeks.
You've seen my rant. Blah.

Very poorly. Everything hurts. I'm peeing a lot. At least my experience last time was that pregnant sleep was so bad, my newborn actually allowed me to get a much better rest. Let's hope I have another compliant newborn...

GTKY: How are you sleeping? Are you sleeping at all nowadays?
Not really, lol. My husband has had a cold so that isn't helping with the sleep.
What's going on this week?
The weather is super cold this week (highs in the negative numbers even), so I am fine staying in and not going anywhere. I guess the perk of being on leave in the winter... and it's just begun.
If your child has problems sleeping in anything (RNP, bassinet, crib), how have you gotten them used to it? Maybe DS is in the phase of always needing to be near one of us, as he has no problem sleeping ON us, just not IN anything.
GTKY: How are you sleeping? Are you sleeping at all nowadays?
DH and I alternate being up with him. He takes first shift and I get up around 2:30-3, so DH can sleep before work. The last couple of days though, DH has just brought DS in our room and places him in between us so we can both sleep. I know that is probably frowned upon, but DS ACTUALLY sleeps, so it seems to be working. He does not sleep in the RNP or the bassinet we have set up, so this works for now. I still end up getting up around 5-6 to feed and then DS sleeps on me until the nest feeding time. I do actually feel awake today, which has been a change. As a FTM, I am still trying to figure this all out. At least I have anther 8 weeks before I go back to work to hopefully get into a somewhat routine.

LO is 1w5d old today - today was her due date
She was 7lb9oz when born, 6lb 14oz when discharged, 7lb1oz at first Dr appt a week ago. We'll see where we land tomorrow morning
My first PP follow-up appt is tomorrow morning - I'm hoping for specifics answers on a few questions I have. And I can't remember how long the driving restriction in after a c-section so I'm looking forward to getting that nailed down
LO has her 2wk follow-up on Wed, looking forward to getting a weight check
@Kacie209 - swaddle, swaddle, swaddle. Works for us to get LO feeling secure enough to sleep just about anywhere
GTKY: How are you sleeping? Are you sleeping at all nowadays?
I'm doing the best I can. DH is a champ and helps out a Ton, way more than most, so I really can't complain
How far along are you (OR how old is baby)?
I'm getting really sick of people asking how I'm feeling - I honestly don't know how to answer anymore. What annoys me most is DH's family. I am obviously prejudice to my own family and want to update them.. but I think his family should ask him for updates, not me all the time.. it's like bugging the bride on her wedding day!
GTKY: How are you sleeping? Are you sleeping at all nowadays?
Pretty good considering. I wake up only about twice per night for peeing, but I shift around a lot to get comfortable. Some nights I sleep like a rock, then the next my hips & sides hurt so bad I can't stay in one place for more than an hour.

Also, how did you know you had mastitis? I've been reading symptoms and don't think I have experienced it, but BFing has not been a walk in the park. Sometimes his latch is good, and other times not so much. And, it doesn't help that I have a low supply so I get him whatever I can but sometimes isn't the most comfortable.
