I'm 14 weeks now, have had a headache full on for about a week, fun times.

Next appt is with the cardiologist to discuss my SVT and that is on Wednesday afternoon.

Rants/Raves: Not much! In a pretty darn good mood today because we got our NIPT results, and our little baby BOY is perfectly healthy. No Downs. :-) So relieved. It's been a very stressful week!

And I would love to be one of those people who raises abandoned newborn endangered animals lol

1. How far along are you? 13w1d

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? very mild nausea just started last week! Just when I thought I made it through the entire first trimester with nothing at all. My sleep is still totally off too. Also noticing headaches and nausea when I'm overly tired but overall I'm feeling pretty good.

3. When is your next appointment? had my 4 week appointment yesterday and heard baby's heartbeat for the first time! They found it right away. Today we go for our sequential acreen. I can't wait to see how big my gummy bear is and watch them move all around!! Downside...blood draws (ugh!)

4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm literally bursting at the seams to start telling our friends and family. We are waiting until Christmas Eve but since I have made it so far with zero complications it's all starting to feel real and I just want to scream it from the roof top.

QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose? I would want to own a pitbull rescue on a big farm and run around with some pretty pitties all day long.

Headaches, hip joint pain at night, indigestion.
3. When is your next appointment?
Jan 4
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
Can't wait to really feel the baby move finally. I'm hoping that it will happen in the next couple weeks.
QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose?
Hmmm. I guess maybe full time librarian. I love to read and I'm a part time librarian now and it's pretty much awesome. It's the lowest stress job I've ever had and I get first dibs on new books and movies.

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Feeling pretty good this week. Still getting nauseated when I'm tired. I also have a cough that I just can't shake which is annoying, but not pregnancy related.
3. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow! Can't wait to see baby again.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: One of my best friends who basically just hates having secrets has known I'm pregnant since the beginning and is being a little much about announcing to some friends at our secret santa thing tonight. I tried to explain that I'm not sure I want to before the appointment tomorrow but she's not dropping it. I'm sure it's a little hard to grasp unless you're in it and thinking about it but it's been frustrating. I know she's just excited and it comes from a good place and all.

@ClaireCF you're the second person today to say your symptoms are worse when tired. I guess I need to start paying more attention. I had a really bad headache last night, and I'm thinking I just should have gone to bed earlier! And I hear you about the cough. I had a cold in the end of October and have NOT been able to shake the congested nose since! It's sooooo annoying!!!! I have to chew with my mouth open and i'm constantly choking on food... its absurd.

I also feel you about your friend. my MIL has been exactly the same way! We told his parents and my parents pretty much the day we found out we were expecting, and then didn't tell the rest of the fam until THanksgiving, and she was just AWFUL! ANd once everyone knew she wasl ike oh THANK GOD! And acted like a friggin martyr that she had somehow managed to keep our secret for us.. i was like umm no u don't get a cookie... ARGH!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Round ligament pain. My nausea is finally gone (I think) ... starting to get more energy or maybe that's the one cup of coffee I reintroduced

3. When is your next appointment? Monday, 19th.

QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose?
Before I was a stay at home mom, I switched careers from nutrition to software engineering. I really like that field!

@JessErinF Thank you for taking over the check in this week. I'm so sick and just started a new job this week so I've been so overwhelmed and haven't gotten on here much!

1. How far along are you? 15+4
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? I'm just sick this week. Fluid in my lungs, sore throat, lost voice, aches and pains. Sickness is so much worse when you're pregnant

3. When is your next appointment? I'm not seeing the OB again until the 29th but I'm going to call today and ask if I should be seen for the sickness...
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:

QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose? I would perform in musicals on Broadway. That's what I've always wished I could do!

@wifeinraleigh28 no problem! i was wanting to post my NIPT results haha so i was eager. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! :-( i had a cold in october, and it wasn't terrible, but yea, way worse pregnant than not because you can't take ANYTHING! hope you feel better soon. :-/

@wifeinraleigh28 I'm sorry you're not feeling well! I have the fluid in my lungs thing going on and just cannot stop coughing, but sounds like you have it much worse! I have an appointment with my OB today anyway so I'm going to ask her about it. Sick and starting a new job this week? What a combo. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you @ClaireCF. I've managed to work the last 2 days even though I could feel it coming on, but today I can hardly move I feel so horrible. I sent my boss an email explaining my situation and told her I would let her know what my OB says, but I feel awful (not just physically, but about being sick my first week PERIOD)! I also have a lot of clients who followed me from my other practice (I'm a therapist in private practice) and this week is their first week in the new office. I hate the idea of cancelling on them today of all days right after I just had to transition them to a new office.

@wifeinraleigh28 That has always been my secret wish too. I love going to Broadway plays and wish I had that talent but with my voice they wouldn't let me near a stage.

3. When is your next appointment? week after Christmas for 16 week check in

4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I am very anxious this pregnancy. (I think I 'know" too much now.) I wish I could enjoy this pregnancy more, like I did with DS.

QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose?
I would love to be one of those people who travels the world and writes their experiences for travel books or is videoed for travel shows.

University professor at my dream college (alma mater)... Full-time gig so that I can leave my high school job.

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Feeling better surprisingly
3. When is your next appointment? I had a prenatal this week, but my next appointment isn't until mid Jan (the anatomy scan)
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Not being able to have a glass of win this time of year is ROUGH. I've had 3 holiday parties this week and a ladies day with my BFFs tomorrow.

QOTW: If you could have any job in the world, regardless of pay, what would you choose? Stay at home mom! For starters, I consider that a job (a very ill paying job at that). I really struggle to not be with my kids day in and day out. I would love to be a stay at home mom. I took my DS out of daycare when DD was born (I get 3mo maternity leave) and I LOVED it. Tiring? Of course. Worth it? Totally. Once the kids are in school, my dream job would be a teacher. I really enjoy working with kids and seeing that look on their faces when they learn something new or make a connection. Sadly... another ill paying job for people helping to mold and educate the next generation.

@kahlan82 i feel you about "knowing too much" I have a phd in reproductive biology, and i also teach developmental biology (the process from egg to adult) and its really a struggle. i worry all day everyday! and hubby (who is not sciencey) is just like WOO HOO a baby boy! lol

@NYCProf also agreed! My SIL is pregnant, but she and i DO NOT get along so I don't even want to talk to her... lol I have a couple people on FB I know, but no one close. My BFF is trying but just started and not yet pregnant.

@Elyse1384 omg i feel ya. Hubby went and bought himself a bottle of wine the other night he was like "I am just feeling like a glass" and i'm like you mean ass??? lol
