1. the frost is pretty this morning, and yet it doesn't feel too cold yet, either.
2. Got pretty much all my Christmas shopping done (online) so fun things for my nieces and nephews should start trickling in any minute now...
3. ...plus a awesome few tools for DH!
4. FiL and SMiL gave us an extra twin bed which I set up yesterday in our 3rd bedroom / dressing room, so that will be cool to have another place for a kiddo to sleep over... slash eventually put a convertible crib frame onto for a future toddler bed? a girl can dream...
5. snuck a few sweet CD orders into my Christmas shopping so my stash is... pretty much complete???? What???
6. making progress on the EOY bookkeeping, which is rewarding, even though it's not exactly my favourite thing to do! lol
7. DH has his next test booked for Friday, so hopefully he will keep the appointment and we will be one step closer to bebe...
8. ***TW*** a dear friend of mine is finally ku after what looks like a successful FET!!!! I am over the moon for her! ***/TW***
9. Still loving our new mattress and enjoying getting better sleep because of it.
10. Our Christmas cards came in yesterday! I need to get one more book of holiday stamps still, but that will be so fun to sit down and get started on those today... :)
@BusinessWife Wow, you have gotten so much accomplished! Fx for Friday my friend And yayyy for a successful FET for her!
1. We are going to see my parents this weekend! They live on the other side of the country so I only see them a couple times per year.
2. While we're visiting them, we're going to take a cave tour. It'll be my husband's first time seeing a cave so I'm excited to see how he likes it.
3. My brother and I decided to go in together on a gift for our parents, and I'm pretty excited about it. Plus it's a meal so we can all enjoy
4. I learned yesterday that we will be getting a cost of living increase in salary at .5% above inflation. It was questionable if we'd get one at all so this is good news.
5. I have written about half my Christmas cards. Hoping to get the other half done by the end of the week. At the after Christmas clearance last year, I picked up really pretty red cards with glitter-frosted ivy on them. Cheap and beautiful, my favorite!
6. Today at lunch, a work friend and I will be taking a walk. I love catching up with her.
7. It's supposed to snow again tonight. I hope another snow storm/HIO storm is on the horizon hehe
8. DH and I decided that if we get bad results from my MRI we are going to move immediately to an RE. I wish it weren't coming to this, but I'm glad that we are on the same page about moving forward and figuring out if something is wrong.
9. Of course, hope springs eternal and he's adorably hopeful about conceiving a Christmas baby
10. I'm so grateful for all of you here. Your kindness and support means a lot to me. A couple of you in particular have talked me off the ledge about ttc and I am eternally grateful and looking forward to babies for all of us.
@adirat who doesn't love a good old-fashioned snowed-in bonefest! ;) <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/mp/xuyzlvq5owl1.gif" alt="">
1. My little dog (50 lbs little. But he's wiry.) is so cute and happy and snuggly. He loves to get one toy in his mouth and then kick a ball around. It's really cute.
2. Fake Christmas trees went to 50% off at Target on Sunday. I ended up ordering one for pickup in my home town b/c all of the good ones were sold out here and my mom went and picked it up. H is not going to be thrilled since he's a die hard real tree guy but it's just for years when travel makes a real tree not feasible.
3. I'm going home for Christmas!
4. H is actually excited for "Christmas" (we'll have to do his late when he finally gets there) at my parents'. Which beats dreading a trip to the in-laws.
5. My mom is amazing at making Christmas. There's always tons of baked goods and homemade candy and all the things.
6. H is a good guy. His father had surgery yesterday that ended up getting pushed back until late--it was something like 6:30 when the surgery was finally finished--and H stayed with him all day even though he had just been home from work long enough to change and had woken up early two time zones ahead of this one.
7. Wine
8. I made a pot of ham & beans. It's not the best pot of ham & beans ever but it always reminds me of my grandma.
9. It sounds like my friend who has been struggling to find a job that uses her librarian master's degree finally got a job. I can't wait to hear all about it! It's going to be such a boost for her financially and emotionally. Going back to her college job and earning dramatically less than her wife was hard on her. Not to mention the amount of rejection she dealt with over the course of this job search.
10. If it's going to be CD 1, at least I have the benefits of modern feminine care technology. Sure beats what women used to use.

@kiki75 oh no!!!!! I hope AF stays back. :/ sounds *like* you have a great holiday in store! the baking is something I'd loooove to get on this year, now that we have a real kitchen. gotta make a shopping list tho....
@jess021 aaw, that is totally what bfs are for. :) did your list maybe get cut off?
@adirat What part of the country are your parents in? I love cave tours! We recently did the ones in Bermuda which were pretty cool.
1. I am getting back into a workout routine which I've desperately needed. 2. The sting of AF is on it's way out and we can get back to HIO by the end of the week. 3. DH and I have been doing a Whole30 and we are both feeling much better overall with so much more energy. 4. I set a goal to pay off student loans next year and I think I'm going to be able to do it. 5. DH is home for the holidays this year. 6. I'm finally almost done unpacking from our move in August. 7. I found a new program to use for work that will save me a lot of time. 8. We have brunch with Santa and Disney on Ice tickets for this weekend and I can't wait 9. I made an appointment with a new Dr so now I can look forward to that. 10. Coffee!
Oo - I usually don't play 10 things (I always have the hardest time coming up with 10 things), but I'm going to play along to try and focus on the positive:
1 - I just made some really really yummy steel cut oats with pears. Turned out better than I expected. Now I'm sad I only made one portion of it (I only had 1 pear left). I know what I'm making batches of this weekend!!
2 - The Christmas decorations in my house make me SO HAPPY. I just LOVE looking at my fireplace with the candles, lit garland and stockings.
3 - I decided I was allowed to make my pre-conception dr appointment. Which means being benched is coming to an end and hopefully we can get anything the dr suggests done right away and start trying again!!
4 - I achieved my goal of making it to 1 barre class this week. And while it was tough (I haven't worked out much this past year), I felt really good after and I feel good this morning. I really enjoyed the class.
5 - Pentatonix is on Today Show today, which I'm watching. I love their Christmas music. I really should buy their albums off of iTunes/Amazon. Random fact about me - I only buy Christmas albums; the rest of the year I just get 1 off songs (if I even buy the song). Usually I'm good with whatever streams on Spotify/Pandora.
6 - I just had to put my dog on a twice a day medicine to manage a condition (she'll be fine, it's nothing serious). But she HATES taking her medicine. After a month of fighting, she finally realized its not going away and stopped fighting us on it.
7 - There are 12 days to Christmas (can you tell I really love Christmas??)
8 - I am currently on a non-profit board, and the board turns over each year. I just got a call last night, they've asked me to stay on for a 2nd year. It's nice to feel that my work this year has been appreciated and that they want me to continue my work with the organization. It's a different position than what I'm responsible for this year, but I'm really looking forward to it.
9 - I got my hair cut back in late October. And while I liked it immediately following, I always love my cut immediately following. Now that I've had some time to play with it and its grown out a bit, I really love it. The guy just did a great job with it and it lays correctly without much fighting.
10 - I've got a chili simmering for dinner tonight. Yum, comfort food.
