I've got an appt with a midwife on Wednesday- poor woman is going to get dumped on with my L&D and PPD concerns, Braxton hicks questions, and all the juggling we are going to have to do with upcoming growth scans and MFM care. I hope she can handle it!

Seeing the good....midwife today. LOL. We've already agreed I'll have a 37 week ultrasound to rule out breech since my first was tricky, but I'm going to ask her about getting another one somewhere around 30-34 weeks to make sure baby boy is behaving before it's too late. If hes going to be a stubborn breech baby, I want the chance to turn him while he's got room, not just know whether I have to schedule a repeat c section (not ultrasound...edited) Of course it's super early for that still, but it's on my mind. I also need to determine whether I can re use my inflatable birth tub.
Saw the doctor today! Heartbeat is 150, fundal height looked good, and we chatted about my hopes for delivery (natural, epidural, etc). It felt productive in this slow second tri!
Appointment went well! Baby at least appears to be head down at the moment. I'm measuring 25 weeks which surprised me, weight gain was good, we'll do another ultrasound at 32 weeks, and I can bleach and reuse my birth tub. Next appointment will be the glucose test.
Unexpected appointment this morning. Bad pains last night. Dr thinks I just pulled something. I stayed home today which was nice.. slept ALL day in a house to myself. And I got to hear sweet baby girl's heartbeat❤️
Anatomy Scan on Thursday! We haven't seen LO since the dating scan at 9 weeks. With DS, I had ultra-sounds at least once a month due to a recent leep to make sure my cervix measured long, so we got to see him all the time. This one has been so normal, we never get to see him/her. Cant wait! Still team green!
My appt went okay today- other than the office switching out the midwife I was supposed to meet with for the one that delivered DS(I'm really not a fan of hers). So I didn't bring up my L&D or PPD concerns since I'd rather talk to anyone else but her about that. But i did find out that we don't have another u/s until 32 weeks at the MFM, and not one before then. So that's good news. Once we have that appt, decisions can be made about early delivery, if necessary, and a hospital switch so until then all that is to be done is wait, up the protein, and hope baby girl hits a growth spurt.

@cafedisco yes and no. If all is okay and we deliver with my OB, I will end up with whoever is on call. I get the impression that the midwives stay on the L&D floor and docs get called up for problems. But if we do deliver there, I will be speaking to the doctors before delivery about my concerns and hopefully it won't be an issue or at least my fears and concerns will be addressed. If we have to switch hospitals, then it's a moot point so for now I just have to wait and see

My AS yesterday went well. I was kind of bummed because I couldn't watch while the tech was doing the scan. She said if she tilted the screen towards me, then her measurements could be off. But she did let me see Samuel for about 5 minutes after the scan and gave me a tour of his body. He appears to have all his parts in working order, but I will hear from the dr tmrw via phone call to go over all the results. He was 14 oz. and measuring 3 days ahead. Also, we confirmed for the 4th time that he is a HE.
Had my appointment today. Everything with baby looks good! Heartbeat was 150-ish. The tech finally got the shots she needed, but baby girl definitely made her work for them! Look like she's measuring about a week ahead overall, though I don't really take much stock in those measurements, if I'm honest. DD always measured about a week ahead in all the scans we had of her, but I still went 9 days overdue, and she was an average weight at 8 lbs 3 oz.
I wish the office would get their shit together, though. Over an hour of wait time today. Waiting that long would be annoying if it were just me, but when my husband has taken time off work and my not-quite-3-year-old is also there with us, it's beyond frustrating. Especially when it's the norm with this office and not an exception.
Just got a call from the dr to go over the results of my AS on Tuesday. Samuel is beautiful and perfect in every way. I however have what they call a "bi-lobed placenta." Meaning instead of one, round placenta, mine has two lobes. Dr didn't seem to worried but said that they would watch me more carefully at delivery to make sure I delivery both lobes and that I don't hemorrhage. Wondering if anyone else has had this diagnosis. Never even heard of it before and you all know how Google can be...
Had my AS today. Baby is still measuring 1-2 weeks ahead, but due date isn't changing. They just think it is a big baby! I do have two uterine fibroids that showed themselves during the scan. They will check them again at 36 weeks but right now since they are at the top of the uterus and not near the cervix, they won't impact delivery.
And, biggest news is that the doctor TOTALLY messed up and sent an email with our results...including gender (we WERE Team Green). Looks like we're Team Blue now! Sort of bummed to find out the way that we did, but DH is glowing so brightly right now that I can't really be mad. However, now I feel like I should have at least looked during that portion of the scan!
@momtoleo I'm glad everything looked good at your AS, but very crappy that your sex results were emailed to you. I'm sorry that surprise was ruined for you both. My dr doesn't even receive the sex results from the tech. She had to ask me if I knew and what it was.
@KirstinH88 Everything about this pregnancy has been anticlimactic (not in a bad way though...if that makes sense!!). I mean, I had all sorts of elaborate plans for telling DH and our parents and on all occasions I just sort of blurted things out, or my in-laws thought the football jersey we bought was for their dog. So, I'm just happy as long as the baby is healthy but none too surprised that we found out this way. We got to see a massive yawn (it WAS 7:30 am) and he kept rubbing his eyes like he was not at all thrilled about the intrusion, so that was absolutely adorable.
We had our AS last Thursday, and everything looks great! Baby was very cooperate, and my OB was able to look at everything she needed. We are still team green! The only issue is that DH is really upset because we didn't get a "good pic". With my last pregnancy, I had several additional US at the hospital to check cervical length, as I had had a LEEP less than one year prior. I never had any complication due to the leep, and currently my cervix is measuring thick and long, so there is no need to additional us's, which I think is great, and much less expensive.
