Monday BitchFest!

Re: Monday BitchFest!

  • I'm so tired, pregnant, sick, and just not myself this past weekend. DH worked all weekend and he came home Saturday night with a 102 fever. Pretty certain he has Influezna since he doesn't get a flu shot because he's scared of needles. Well suck it up sally! I'm growing our child and if we get the flu it's not going to be pretty (we get our flu shots but there is a strain that it's not covering this year). I'm heading to the Dr here in about an hour. Hoping for some relief. I'm also thinking about going back home to sleep.

  • When I was pregnant with my son and again with my daughter, my m/s was really bad.  And anytime I complained about not feeling good, people would say "well, you wanted to be pregnant."   It pissed me off to no end.  This time around, I figured I'd avoid those comments (and mind you, I'm not complaining 24/7...but if I mentioned having a particularly rough day...I'd get them) since this pregnancy was a surprise.  Nope.  Now I get "well, that's part of pregnancy"    Yes. It's my 3rd. I'm well aware of that.  But, that doesn't mean I have to enjoy every single second or act like I don't want to puke every time I open my eyes.      I'm not asking for sympathy or to be coddled...but a little bit of empathy instead of being an ass about it would be nice.

  • Our plow guy decided to come today when we only got about an inch of snow. And it's currently raining, which means it'd probably just have melted anyways. At $50 a plow I about freaked when I saw him pull into the driveway!! Definitely texting him that only 4+ inches requires a plow, otherwise I'll be broke by the end of the winter.

  • My dog is literally sitting on top of me every chance she gets. If I stop moving for two seconds, she's sitting on my feet or laying on my lap. It'd be cute if she didn't weigh 50 lbs and didn't have stinky breath and didn't like to give kisses all over your body. I need a bath. But, of course, my 2 toddlers would never allow that.

I live in the south, and this is the first time I have ever seen or heard the phrase "our plow guy." And here I am complaining that it's 38 and raining when a few degrees lower could bring us a dusting of snow.
  • bahahahaha and for me as a Michigander this is common terminology 6 months out of every year. Too funny!

  • Anyone on TTGP probably remembers my disability insurance saga. Well of course I find out I'm pregnant and I get a refund letter today saying they cancelled my policy because payroll did the deduction too late (but their company screwed up and never submitted the paperwork until I called them on it!) I have it in an email that I will be covered. I'm going to make sure they honor it. Time to go Jersey tomorrow!!!

@laryk123 That's exactly how my husband was on Sunday a few hours after I told him. I was like what, are you a protective puppy now?!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
