Hello ladies - I would like to introduce myself and join this community. I have been reading your posts for a while now and I have to say they have helped me understand I am not alone, which is sick but helps me a lot. The loneliness in this process and the feeling that nobody understands, including your closest friends and family is killing me. Reading you also help me understand myself, because between the feelings, the hormones, and the unpolite people around me Asking unnecessary questions I thought I was going crazy.

Here is my story: I am 38 years old (old for this I guess), original from Spain but I live in the US with DH. Married Aug 2014 and trying since the weeding night. Little I suspected it was going to be a nightmare... I took ovusitol (Spanish over the counter clomid) for three months. I am now in my third IUI cycle (day 8), with 150 clomid. We are doing the IUI one right after the other (started in October). If this third one doesn't work, we will go to IVF, I have been secretly saving for it as I can see it coming. I will know in New Year's Day if third IUI worked or not.

I want to thank you for the support I found here and all the candid postings I have read. Spent many hours reading you...yes I am getting a bit obsessed but how not to?

Anyway, happy to join and finally decide to share in case it helps anyone (like you have helped me through the process). Today, I will go do my session of by-monthly acupuncture. They say it works...

Hello, I am sorry you have to be here but very glad you joined us. As you stated, infertility can feel very lonely. I am glad you have already found some comfort from our board and encourage you to continue participating, especially in our weekly update posts. I have found that the more I participate, the better I feel.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. This is a very candid loving group and it is much appreciated.

Today is day 12 of my third IUI cycle and the doctor found 5 follicles (highest ever). I call them the horses in a race...to the finish line. We are hopeful this may be it, but of course we are every month. In any case, hope helps me mentally a lot in this rollicoster ride of TTC.

Hoffmanr7 - Thanks for the note. I agree that the more I participate the better. I need to figure out how to join the weekly updates though... do you just add a posting at the bottom? Does it have to be on Monday? Thanks again

yes, just add post to the bottom. Doesn't have to be a Monday. In the top post the moderator lists some questions you answer to join.

Also, exciting re 5 follicles! Congrats!
