I just can't get myself to drink more than 32-40oz of water in a day and even that's rough. It was never this bad in previous pregnancies. Any suggestions? It makes me feel full and gross.
32oz is about 30oz more than I drink. I'm grosses me out that all i drink is Gatorade full of artificial coloring and sugar. Ughhhh

Raspberries and blackberries with some mint is delicious.
i carry my water bottle with me ALL the time. Small sips add up throughout the day. When my nausea was at its worst, I was maybe 20-30oz. Now I'm back up to 96+, but only recently:(
How much water should we be aiming for? I'm also having a hard time reaching 64. Sometimes I'll puke from drinking too much water
My midwives suggest half your body weight in ounces per day, but not to stop if you reach that point.
Jenn, it may take you a bit to work up to more water. After my blood draw, I had a couple low levels that my midwife said was likely due to not drinking enough. I only drink from my Nalgene water bottle (34 ounces) during the day. When I first started drinking more, I had a hard time even getting through one a day! I felt like I was drowning in water. And I'm a person who likes water! I don't drink or even really like coffee, tea, pop, juice, etc. I pretty much drink milk and water exclusively with rare cups of tea or lemonade.
It took me about three weeks to work up to where I am now: two and a half Nalgenes a day or between 80 and 90 ounces a day, which is a good level. Yesterday, I was busy and only drank one. I noticed when I woke up at 2 a.m. so thirsty and drank almost half a Nalgene right then!
Everyone needs a different amount of water per day. Just pay attention to your urine. If it's light in color and/or clear, you're getting enough fluids. No need to actually count the ounces!

I can't do plain water either. It makes me feel so full and sick. But I have found that adding some water flavors like Mio make it a ton easier to unconsciously sip throughout the day. I'm up to 48-72oz a day in my Tervis cup just by adding some drops of flavor. Just be careful not to buy ones with caffeine or added electrolytes but most are zero calories and my OB loves the idea.
I used to love Crystal Light and now I can't do it. I also have to drink Aquafina, no name bottled water or tap water makes me sick to my stomach. Le sigh...so much for pinching pennies!

I'm an Aquafina snub too!! Every other water tastes dirty! (That's even pre pregnancy!) I have been drinking purified water with lots of ice and super cold out of a large contigo. It definitely helps!
A big water bottle with a handle and a straw, filled with ice water. If you're having trouble stomaching it, add a splash of Gatorade or something fruity that you like the flavor of. I drink tons more with that way.
On a related note, second time moms, how do you handle having to use the restroom out in public with your baby/toddler? More specifically, my daughter is 15 months and I have to pee whenever we are in Target, etc, but neither the stroller nor the cart fits in the restroom stall and she's not old enough to stand in the stall with me without getting into everything. Why doesn't everyplace have those baby docking stations in the stalls like at Babies R Us!?

When I nanny I take the cart or stroller into the family restroom. Sometimes the handicap stall is big enough too.
I like strawberries and raspberries. Blueberries don't infuse well because of the skin. I also use frozen fruits. It infuses well and keeps the water cold. It's better to use an infuse bottle so it flavors the water quicker.
