Pregnant after IF

Bassinet question

We just set up the bassinet. It's adorable. It comes with a mobile and some baskets. It's perfect! But I'm a bit confused. Lol.  The bassinet came with a mattress pad but i also have a separate mattress for it. So do I just need the mattress that came with it, use the one I bought or use both in case there's a pee accident? Thanks for any advice!

Re: Bassinet question

  • I reckon you can just use the one that came with it.
They should be ok, unless it's really poor quality.
You might want to return the other one, if possible as you don't really need two (but could of course come in handy one day...)

  • I think they sell separately because not all come with one, or in the case you are reusing and want a new one. We didn't register for the mattress because our bassinet said one was included; we did register for a pad in case of pee pee lol
  • we are using arms reach mini bassinet and it came with a mattress which is a very thin , hard kinda plastic material. I saw reviews where people use an extra mattress top to make it softer but the new born mattress is supposed to be hard surface. I used an extra layer of sheet and a towel to get rid of the plastic touch but did not buy an extra mattress.
  • Thanks everyone. I decided to just use the one it came with and gave back the other one and bought diapers and wipes instead. :-))
