Yes!!! I tried to use my pregnancy to get out of it this year. I wanted for DH and the boys to do it while I watched, but DH got a little pissy. But it really sucks!
I LOVE decorating our tree, only because we now have a real one. The past years we had a plastic one b/c we had carpet and husband said "as soon as we get floors, you can get your tree". So it was not only fun for me, but for our 2 year old too! He place all his ornaments in one spot. We of course left them, because it was just too darn cute!
My unpop opinion is gift exchange at work. Its like, why should i have to buy you a gift when I barely know you? And if I don't participate, I'll look like a grinch!
My UO this week is Christmas shopping is overrated this year. The deals are pretty mediocre and the weather makes me want to stay inside and sit on the couch all day. I don't know how I will finish before Christmas
It's been at least 6 years since I decorated for Christmas or exchanged gifts. We plan on decorating and doing gifts for our son once he's old enough to understand.
Even though I've explained to co-workers that we do not even buy each other or family gifts and asked them to please not get me anything, they do so anyway. Ugh. I feel like such a jerk and am shamed into gifting with the people in my life that I care the least for.
My daughter decorated the tree this year.. and honestly did a great job! I want outside lights up but I want my husband to do it, and he won't because he's freaking captain planet and our lights arent energy efficient.
My unpopular opinion is I hate the lights that project on houses. I think they look great on big trees but they look so lazy and crappy when they're on a house esp when you can see them on the ground leading up to the house.

This! I don't have time to participate in the cookie exchange at work, nor do I want to receive cookies from people I don't really know (and don't know how clean their kitchens are). When I politely decline, I get a whole bunch of backlash. Same with potlucks, I dont participate because they gross me out!
I enjoy decorating the tree but I hate assembling it. I also loathe taking it down.
My feelings exactly!! Mainly because our tree scratches the %*$ out of my arms when we assemble/disassemble it.
@shaunessa I think I lucked out on Christmas gift exchange this year because we're doing our party next Wednesday at 11:00 and I'm flying to Chicago at 3. I think I'm going to stay through the food and then say I have to leave for my flight once they start doing the exchange!!

@KirstinH88 my mom gave us 2 of them.. I'm going to put them pointed up at our trees that are too big to put lights in.. that way I don't get pressure to out them on my house.
I agree! I hate it when someone in the office (like last month) suggested we do a potluck. I never bake or cook anything to bring. I always sign up for store bought cookies or drinks. It's like, hellooooo...I already have 2 other mouths to feed at home, I don't need to be feeding people at work also!

I can't stand the songs "Santa baby" or "Baby it's cold outside" and they get played constantly!
Have you ever heard the Christmas song "Dominic the Donkey"?! I had never heard it until we moved to RI a couple of years ago. What in the actual f*#k is this song?
@Beckyf321 I already wanted to @ you for the Elf thing, because ditto. Hate Elf. I do love A Christmas Story, though.
But.that.song. Luckily I haven't heard it yet this year. For everyone I introduce it to, it automatically shoots to the top of their most hated songs list. That and The Christmas Shoes song. I'm guessing no one has mentioned hating that one yet because that's a popular opinion.

@catem07 - I despise the Christmas Shoes song. It is even worse this year because of pregnancy hormones, I literally cry at everything - Shriners commercials, ASCPA commercials, TV Shows, radio or just random thoughts that come into my head.
