Dreams?

I have seen a lot of post on Facebook groups about having dreams about what sex their baby's are going to be. I'm over here not havin any dreams to do with me being pregnant.

Anyone else experiancing this? When I was pregnant with my son I knew from the start he was going to be a boy. I just had that feeling. This time around I have no idea! And no signs of anything that could lead me to think it's one or the other.

With DD I didn't experience any dreams. I knew that she was a girl from the beginning. This time, I've had two dreams that this one is a girl. Although my mommy instinct was saying boy. My hands are all up in the air now. We are team green anyways so it doesn't really matter.

I haven't had any dreams regarding the sex of the baby persay (we know it's a single boy at this point) but I did have disturbing dream last night that I gave birth to a baby and it was stillborn. I remember the actual labor and everything. That one was a boy, however I was carrying twins and the girl was still safe inside my womb.

.... maybe I should have TW'ed this.  I'm still disturbed thinking about it.

@merrylea I have had dreams like that and they feel so real. My mood for the rest of the day was shot.

First pregnancy, I had five dreams about the baby and I think 4 said Girl. I also would have bet money on a girl. We had a son  I am not a very intuitive person, lol

I didn't have any dreams during my first pregnancy. This one, I had a dream at about 7 weeks that I was pregnant (I hadn't taken a test yet) and then tested the next week and it was positive. But I had also had a feeling because of some symptoms about 3 weeks before that so I think it was just my brain telling me to take a test just in case... I've had one other dream about baby, but neither dream showed girl or boy.

@merrylea I'm sorry :frowning: I've had dreams about loved ones getting hurt (none quite on that level though) and my mind was awful for a couple days. I'm sorry you had that dream, not fun.

I have no gut feeling yet but I hope to before the anatomy scan to see if my intuition is correct. :)

We are finding out Saturday. I have no feelings to guess on what sex the baby is. I want it to be a girl, but we will see!

No dreams about the sex of the baby. But tons of other really odd and some disturbing dreams. I have had four dreams about twins though. All of them were boy girl. So maybe since I already have a boy this one will be a girl?

I haven't had any dreams about what baby would be, although I have some very vivid dreams about all kinds of other things.  I've always felt all along this baby was a boy.  I was almost positive...... well this baby is a girl.  Perhaps because I believed the old wives tale about babies heart beat, my babies has been anywhere from 140-150 bpm.  My mother also thought I was a boy based on my heartbeat, apparently she didn't have an ultrasound with me.  Well I was quite the surprise in the delivery room!

I just had a dream last night that our twins are both girls. I'm not about to trust my dreams on this one, but I was right with the last two babes. We might be able to find out at our 15 week ultrasound right before Christmas.

I have had multiple dreams about baby! About half have been boy and half girl so I have no idea. I have terrible intuition but DH is basically a psychic :) He is convinced it's a girl just because he has a feeling about it.

All of my dreams in my first pregnancy were of me birthing a baby girl, super vivid too. Well, we have a DS.

All of my dreams this pregnancy so far have been of birthing a baby boy...so who knows! I feel like this baby is a boy. We will know in a few weeks!

Edit to add- I'm not sure why my dreams are always of me in the birthing process, but they are. I even had a c section with DS. Crossing everything for a VBAC this time so I'm assuming that's why...

I had a ton of girl dreams with DD.

This time I'm having boy dreams, but we're Team Green so I'll know for sure when the baby is born.

With my previous pregnancy i dream i was having a girl and i believed that i was having a girl. But my gut feeling was telling me it would be a boy. This time I had dream that i was having a boy. So maybe it is the opposite my gut feeling says im having a girl but that maybe just because we are hoping that will be this time around. I have 3 boys we would love some pink in the closet.

I had a dream the other night that it was a girl. I don't put any stock in dreaming about what you'll have, though. We'll see. We're not finding out until the birth.

I had tons of dreams about either having one boy or having boy/boy/girl triplets. She is a girl. :-) Although now that I'm having #2&3, I'm terribly curious whether it'll be two boys.

My gut instincts kept telling me I was having a boy, to the point I was totally convinced it had to be a boy. I had one dream that the baby was a girl and thought maybe my mind was playing tricks on me. Then to my surprise, my ultrasound last week revealed girl!

I had a dream last night that this babe is a girl. I had to take an ultrasound picture to a lady I know to find out. I held it in the palm of my hand and then she placed her hand on top. She closed her eyes and sat there for a minute. When she opened her eyes and removed her hand, she said girl. It was almost like a psychic reading for the babies sex!

So far dreams have either been a girl or no idea. Only 23 more weeks to go!

Every time I dream about baby it's a boy, but that might be because we have a boy named picked out, and not one for a girl. My sister told me she had a dream it's a boy also!

Thought this would be a good place to put this, I had a awful dream about the baby the other night. I was at a ultrasound and they told me the baby was not "normal" I don't really know what that meant... if the baby would or would make it or if it just had abnormalities. This whole pregnancy has felt different for me, I chalk it up to us not finding out the sex opposed to us finding out with all of our other three. - anyways I can't figure out if I should interpret this dream as mommy's intuition and schedule a appointment.... or just pass it off as "just a dream." What would you do?
  • Options
@keniialise I would make an appointment and go get checked out if it's bothering you! It very likely is just a dream, where you are noticing all of these differences and taking that information as going against what your experience with a healthy pregnancy is.
If it's bothering you, go in. I say this to all of my clients because honestly, your emotional well being is important too!

I had dreams last pregnancy and this pregnancy that I was/am having a girl. I had a boy last pregnancy, don't know yet what I'm having now but I credit those dreams to two things, first pregnancy I really really really wanted a girl (I'm so glad I had a boy), this pregnancy people are telling me I'm having a girl because of how different this pregnancy is. So I don't really trust dreams, my dreams have been crazy these days to begin with. But also my dad had a dream that I'm pregnant with a girl so we'll see
