Appointments this week? Not until Dec 21/22 (anat scan + appt)
Symptoms? Nausea but it's sooooo much better than before. Sore hips but thank goodness for yoga and pillows.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Anyone figured out what car seat they'll get? I'm torn between Maxi Cosi and Chicco since they are some of the lighter and easier-to-use that I've read about. I don't think I'll buy until we make it to 24 weeks but once we hit that milestone, I'd love to have a plan.

@mdlorenz those were the 2 we were torn between and ended up going with the Chicco because it was easier for us to tighten and loosen. I don't know if you have looked into the Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller, but if I could do it again I would get that stroller with the Maxi Cosi car seats.
@mdlorenz FWIW the Chicco was our NICUs #1 recommendation. Apparently most car seats aren't rated for under 5lbs and they would send a lot of people car seat shopping.
I saw carseat stroller talk and got interested. I'm getting the Nuna Pipa (can you tell I'm obsessed?) which is good for 4lb and up. Here's a list though;
ugh car seat and stroller talk overwhelm me. we have no good baby stores near us so I have to search online rather than see anything in person and I get so overwhelmed with the reviews and costs of everything.
Have any of your drs recommended a baby aspirin a day? My dr told me at my last appointment and I forgot until today. She said it can have some good benefits and that I should take it since twins are higher risk, but when I went to get it I couldn't find it and asked the pharmacist where it was, he thought I was getting it for my daughter so I explained that it was for me bc i'm having twins and he thought that was really weird and hadn't heard of it and sounded like you weren't really supposed to take aspirin while pregnant. Now i feel weird about taking it.
Also, you guys inspired me to research and make a decision regarding stroller/carseat. First off, @chickyclg do you think side by side or the other works better? I was leaning towards side by side for these reasons- I thought I'd wear one baby and let dd and the other baby ride together and I can't imagine DD would like not being able to see from the back seat and would be easier to reach while walking if they were just side by side. Also, i'm looking at some jogger-ish ones because one day I want to be back to my normal size and thought this would help. Lastly, seems like they would enjoy being able to reach/see each other side by side instead of being so confined by the front to back ones. Are these dumb reasons?
Next- car seats! ugghhhh. I can't skip straight to convertible can I? I'd probably regret having to wake them up when getting in and out of the car, but let's be honest, how much will I travel with new born twins and a 22 month old to begin with??
sorry for posting so much, my brain is spinning today!
@Jkp7749 I take baby aspirin with every pregnancy along with additional blood thinners (either Heparin or Lovenox). Multiple pregnancies are at a slightly higher risk for blood clotting, (TW) I have a really good friend that lost one of her twins to a blood clot in the cord.
I am am also a huge fan of SBS strollers. I have the Baby Jogger City Mini double GT and the City Select. There is only a 4 inch width difference and the SBS is so much easier to steer vs the tandem styles. All my twin mom friends that had a toddler when they had their twins went with the Double Bob so the toddler could sit on that little triangle part in the front when they needed a break.
And for the car seat, you can totally skip the infant buckets if you want (I'd think you were crazy though), just make sure your car seats are rated for 4lbs. Both of mine were HUGE 34 weekers, but they had problems feeding, my son dropped under 5 lbs and my daughter (who has FTT) dropped to 3lbs 10oz, it took her until 6 weeks to hit 5lbs again.
@Jkp7749 doctors appointments were all I really got out for during the first 6-8 months, my kids were special snowflakes though. I hit the jackpot when it came to twin and preemie issues so we were in doctors appointments at least twice a week, my situation is not as typical though.
@Jkp7749 , just join me and get the Nuna Pipa! I also looked at Maxi Cosi. There, decision made Can't help with strollers since I am only having one. Although, I've had some thoughts on it and read some things. The side by side's can be wide for some places which is sort of inconvenient. However, I kind of find the stacked-ness of the Uppa Baby Vista weird when both babies are facing parent. I don't think it's bad once babies face opposite or out though.
Lurking in for a carseat recommendation. My BF had 28 wk mo/di girls 3 years ago that we both a little over 2lbs at birth. She said that the chicco was the best fitting seat for her preemies. I have the mesa and although the headrest goes down far enough the seat is very deep and for a preemie they may be too "seated" and have breathing troubles. The chicco is by far the best fitting seat for a baby under 5lbs.
Years ago they wouldn't release a baby from the hospital unless the weighed 5lbs. I know many of you preemie moms can attest to the fact that the rules have changed and if the child can pass a carseat test and other things they can go home under 5lbs.
I had one today. I have been having some spotting so they also did a quick ultrasound to check the cervix and placentas. My anatomy scan is on Monday and I am so nervous for it.
Symptoms? Tired, but can't sleep at night.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I've been feeling so exhausted that I can't even think about shopping for baby stuff or getting a nursery ready. I just want to lay on the couch and rest mentally and physically.
GTKY: What's your go to beauty product? Eyelash curler and brow gel
@Jkp7749 There are certainly groups of mamas who should definitely take aspirin 81 mg daily during pregnancy. I hadn't heard of twins alone being enough of a risk factor, and my provider hasn't suggested it, but now I'm curious. *off to read some articles*
@Jkp7749 Found it! Shoot. Multiples totally puts you in the pre-eclampsia risk category. I'm tempted to start before my next appt in 2 weeks. I know for other at-risk mamas the recommendation (per ACOG) is to start around 12 weeks.
Here's the USPSTF website link for low-dose aspirin during pregnancy. Phone isn't letting me copy words.

My midwife put me on baby aspirin because I was induced for high blood pressure last pregnancy, but she was really waffling about it even though she knew I was having twins.

My blood pressure is always great, so I haven't even heard about taking a baby aspirin. I'm glad to now know that pre-e is a real concern, yikes! I put the graco snug rides on my registry, but maybe I'll have to look at the Chicco now. I seriously feel like a FTM all over again!

Rant/Rave/Questions? I've actually had some energy to clean the house. But I'm definitely worn out after I do a job.
GTKY: What's your go to beauty product? I love dry shampoo. Such an essential since having kids
