My only NBR gift ideas that I gave DH were 2 new iPhone chargers and to have the credit card paid off (not possible by Christmas, but hopefully in January). I've been thinking I'd like a massage and possibly a pedicure.
Ooh. I feel like I haven't thought about anything NBR for Christmas. But now that you bring it up, I'd love a nice new hair dryer. Several decor items I've not deemed necessary enough to buy. Then gift cards for places like Starbucks and caribou coffee so I don't have to feel guilty for my (decaf) splurges.
I'd also like a babymoon, even if only a couple nights in a nearby city. But not sure about that.
My husband got me a new stove/oven! That was probably for him as much as me. The old one didn't match our fridge and the oven didn't cook evenly.. now were all going to be fat off cookies as I'm so excited they're not half burnt & half underbaked!
Other than that I'd love to pay off the credit cards before I stop working.
All I want is a new scraper beater for my Kitchenaid mixer. DH keeps saying he'll get it for me for Mothers day, then my birthday...but it always gets replaced by something else. I won't get it for Christmas either...I'm getting a new hot water kettle, which I need, and will also love.
I didn't really have much that I could think of NBR for the holidays. Both sets of parents are still big on giving gifts to individual people so DH and I did more of a combined wish list for things in our house now that we have finished our basement.
I am asking DH to build new storage shelves for the basement. We are trying to keep to a strict Christmas budget this year, as I may not be returning to work. My b-day is in March, so a prenatal massage, mani and pedi before baby arrives would be amazing!
I have some clothes (open-front cardigans that I can wear to work) and black booties on my Christmas list. DH complained that I didn't have anything NBR - I argued that a Snoogle is really for me and not for the baby because sleep is a precious gift! I also asked for a prenatal massage or mani pedi from DH, but I got a massage for Christmas last year and a mani/pedi for birthday so I don't know if he feels like repeating.
I really want a pair of new glasses, which we just keep putting off on getting. I really want one from Warby Parker but our insurance process is exhausting with them. They will pay for them, but we have the buy them first and then send the bill and then wait for a refund. It's just a hassle I've been putting off lol. I also want a ring sling, which is technically for the baby, but there's not much else I want right now.
@ashleym112 the good thing about Warby Parker is that even though you have to go through the pain of getting refunded, it's only ~$100 you have to wait for (unless you need progressives). Much cheaper than going through lens crafters, etc.
I tried to keep my Christmas-list baby free. I'm having two showers in January (one in my hometown, one where I now live) so I figure I'll get a good amount of baby stuff then.

I'm going to second the babymoon present. We didn't get a vacation for just the two of us this year. I really want to get away with my husband before this baby comes.
@KirstinH88 it's for building and stuff...I just finishing making our dining table and I really wished I had one. It makes pocket holes...anyway, it's a great tool and I drool over it a lot.
@cafedisco Oooh! See, something cool that I didn't know about. That's so cool that you do woodwork. And seriously, at less than $40, what is your H waiting for?!
Ugg Avery boots (Look it up before judging - not as hideous as the rest of the uggs) husband knows, but he already got me an amazing and stupidly expensive non-tailored winter coat to cover the bump, so I dont think it will be waiting under the tree. Might just have to buy it myself
Me: 35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier. My DH: French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever. Our baby boy: Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks. I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!! Last measurement: 3150 gs at 37+1! This is going to be a big baby
We just bought a house in September and then a new living room furniture set in November, so our Christmas lists are pretty nonexistent this year. If anything, I might ask for a gift card to my favorite salon for either a massage or hair cut/color.
I would love a gift card to riverstone spa to get a prenatal massage, and other than that I can't really think of anything else! I'm more excited about Christmas for DD this year since she's old enough to understand what's going on and she's pretty excited.
@cafedisco have you seen the new kreg jig custom pocket hole plug maker?? My DH is dying for one and I couldn't have bought it any faster. Love that now the plugs can be made out of the same wood and fit perfectly. You'll love the kreg! We've had one for a year or so and it has truly made our furniture that DH built look so much better!
@M&Max it's actually not a tool I've ever used, but a lot of times I look at plans, it comes up. I've only recently ventured into building my own - I've been refinishing for years. I'm just crossing my fingers!
