Saw MFM partner today bc MFM is on vacation. Bless her heart for working thanksgiving week!!! She is so amazing.
I didn't like the partner very much. He wasn't very reassuring... I will see my MFM again on next Monday.
Fluids are good he says... Discordance is there. not great. =/ Gap is bigger. Babies are 1.9 pounds and 1.5 pounds! growing a little at a time. Grow Grow my babies. Am really hoping the steroids are working hard and doing their stuff!!!!
@direwolfmini we're doing pretty good. At the 27 week mark so officially in our 3rd trimester. They still have quite a few concerns for him but so far I'm keeping positive.
saw my regular OB / my delivery doc yesterday. Who gets all the reports from my MFM they work closely together. She is usually more of my "chilled out" doc
she gave me a c section delivery break down and basically told me that she thinks the babies willl come in the next few weeks and she hopes between 28-30 weeks. When staying outside is safer than staying in. apprently they measure the placenta resistance with the ultrasound too. she now also wants to see me more often to see if I need to delivery. To keep an eye on me. Basically I see a doc like every 3 days... if I don't get admitted soon
i am 26weeks 1 day today
she highly suspects that I will be admitted by Monday after seeing my MFM...
my tiny tiny little girls they need to grow grow and take in as much nitri and blood as possible from my placenta. I feel like my body is failing them.
im really scared actually.... I just want them to be ok, healthy and happy. It's so early. Gosh they could be Christmas babies..... but I wish not, and hope my body will give them more nutrition and longer.
First of all your body is not failing them. Your body is nourishing them as long as it can! Don't feel like your doctors are blaming your body for this--your doctors are making sure that all three of you will reach the other side of birth healthy and strong. It sounds like you are being closely watched, so rest in the fact that today you are pregnant and today your babies are still drawing what get need from you. When the day comes that they are safer out than in, your body will still have so much to give then, from colostrum and milk to your arms and voice.
I hope that once you are admitted you can rest in the hospital. Does anyone have any advice for @mrsyimster for ideas to make the hospital more restful? My suggestion is to bring your own pillows, in colorful pillowcases so they don't get mixed up, and your own towels (also not white) and toiletries. Because hospital toothpaste and deodorant suuuuuuucks.
Thinking of you and your girls! Keeping cooking and growing, little ones! Just to give you a positive preemie story, one of my friends from my other BMB had her little girl at 26 weeks and today that little girl is a happy, perfectly healthy 5 year old.
thinking of you and sending lots of prayers. I hope those little girls stay in as long as they can but it sounds like you have a wonderful team of dr.s making sure that everything is done to take care of you and them!
i know it's hard but try not to be down on yourself. you're doing anything and everything you can for those girls and are already a wonderful mama
I'm so glad that your doctors are keeping a close eye on you and your girls. The most important part is keeping all of you healthy. You are doing the best you can for you babies - you are not failing them. As @longliveregina said, after they are born, you will continue to give them what they need from milk to love.
As for how to make a hospital stay more enjoyable, I echo what was said above. Bring things that will keep you busy too. Like books/ebooks, knitting/crocheting/cross stitch, crosswords or other kinds of puzzle books. One of my favorites might be paint by numbers. You can find some really cute and not so cheesy ones on Amazon. Those will keep you entertained for hours!
Hang in there, mama! I'm praying for you and your family.
You (and your body) are doing everything right and it sounds like you're getting great care! I'm glad you're being monitored closely. I haven't been in a hospital for an extended stay so I don't have any advice, but just remember anything you wish you'd brought with you, someone can go get for you once you think of it! The little ones are small now but getting bigger and stronger every day, thanks to you. We are all thinking of the three of you!
You and your body are doing the opposite of failing them! You have grown those little ladies for amazing 26weeks! And you have gotten and continue to give them them the best medical care for making sure that they enter this world whenever they need to in order to make sure they are safe! And you're not admitted yet: which means they are still safe and growing strong! At this point every day makes a world of difference - don't you dare be down on yourself one bit!
If early is what it's meant to be, then you'll have the best Christmas gift you could ever imagine. You heart will not even begin to comprehend the love that will come into your world.
just thought of something that might keep you busy, babbel and those kind of sites usually do a free trial and they can be pretty fun. Also Ancestry will give you a free trial for a couple of weeks and it's amazing what you can find on there. I've spent many hours researching on that site lol.
Thinking of you & your precious little girls!!! Sending lots of positive vibes & praying for strength for you all and that regardless of when they arrive everything will be perfect!! ❤️
Sending along good thoughts and prayers your way that your girls can stay in as long as possible! You are so strong, and have been doing everything you possibly can for them. Your doctors will keep you and your little ladies safe once they enter the world - I hope you can have some rest before they arrive! Keeping you in my thoughts..!
Thinking of you dear. Let us know how your appointment went with the MFM went when you can. Your body is amazing and doing what it can for your amazing little girls. You are strong and can do this!!!!

MFM appointment on monday. She was running like 1.5 hours late!!!!! kind of annoying so she was in a rush...(this usually doesn't happen, but i guess its as her 1st day back on vacation) She did not seem rushed when she was doing our ultrasound though.
Before my appointment I showered, packed my bag and was ALLL ready to get admitted!!
Good thing at the appointment: they are both growing, slowly but surely, baby B has grown a little more so the gap is a little smaller. Still there though. Baby A is still a behind too. Other than that placenta resistance and all that stuff is still there. She spent a very long time double and triple checking the umbilical cord blood flow and blood flow to their brains. Both have fluid build up in their bladders...
After the appointment she said i did not have to get admitted if i don't want to yesterday, but it seems like I am ready to (i was really, all prego mind and prepared! oh silly me) she does still want me to get admitted soon maybe the end of the week. i almost pushed for getting admitted (again luckily DH stopped me)
im in a Selective Intrauterine Growth Restriction (SIUGR) group on Facebook and some people in my similar situation seems to get admitted and some doesn't, but we are all from different parts of the world. I mean where i am we have a very very good med center and my hospital has a special ward just for constant monitoring multiple moms, my doc is one of the best in the city. Maybe its just where i live? y'all don't think my doc is over reacting? or me right?
anyways, she wants me to see her again on Thursday and there is a 95% chance ill be admitted that day, at least thats the plan. With christmas and new years around the corner both my MFM and OB have odd office hours and office closures, & ill be 29-30 weeks then, i won't be able to get in as much appointments and the hospital will have constant monitoring and my doc's associates all there. It just seems like the right time to get admitted already.
thank you for the update! you sound like you have a wonderful team around you and I'm glad that you are able to come to terms with being admitted. So good to hear that the babes are still growing and getting stronger. keep it up little ones!
Thank you for the update!! I'm glad you're mentally prepared to be admitted, but also glad you have at least a few more days of normalcy before it happens! Grow, babies, grow!! Glad the gap is shrinking (even if it's just by a teeny amount). Prayers for all of you
Thanks for the update. Grow little ladies! It sounds like you are in an ideal area for your circumstance and have a wonderful medical team around you to take care of you and those little ones. Praying for y'all.

saw MFM again today. Found out why she kept looking at their blood flow. The umbeliical cords blood flow are too high. Today Baby B blood flow was slightly better but still high. Since my regular OB is out. That's my delivery doc, she doesn't want me to deal with her team cus it will get too messy if I get admitted and her team doesn't know my history.
so here I am getting a 1 hour fetal monitoring done at the hospital... hope the 3 us do well!!!!! If not then we get admitted under my MFM. If we do well we see MFM the min her office opens Monday morning. My regular OB should be back and I'll be admitted after. (So the nurse are saying the babies are doing great on the monitors)
She mentioned the fluid levels are just ok, not great, with the blood flow issue we need to get admitted.... 27 weeks tomorrow!!!!! My personal goal for them is 34 weeks. That's way more weeks than what my docs think I will make it to, but hey... who knows??? They think 28-30
it feels so close and so far away...
in other news.... curtains for the nursery came in!!! It's the gray ones. The other pix shows the 2 cribs. Still need mattresses, decor and a changing station.
Grow, babies! I wish you the best for your 34 week goal. If it helps you any, I did have a baby in the range your docs are anticipating (29 weeks, barely, and apparently growth restricted as a result of my pre-eclampsia/HELLP) who is now four and a half, brilliant, and doesn't have a problem in the world.

Saw MFM Monday morning first thing. We still have sIUGR. They are heavily monitoring the blood flow to B and A. B is still high in the cords and As head flow is slightly elevated. A bit of fuild built up in kidney for both.
But overall the blood flow shows a bit of improvement. Just a bit where she sent me home for a few more days baby A was 2lb2oz and B was 1lb15
i saw MFM again on Friday no improvements or anything bad. Just stable but I mean over all could be better. i was told we are now at the point of a wait game...... hope for the best for them to cook as much as possible but any bad changes they can come out immedialty. any day now.... so get everything ready. Even at 34 week they will need NICU time but that is our goal!
their measurement show baby A was 2lb7 b 2lb3? Doc said those measurements seem too optimistic and maybe false. Bc they don't usually grow 1oz a day till a few weeks later. At 27-28/29 should be about .5oz a day...
but my twin mom / sIUGR forum ppl have been talking about very high protein diet to increase growth of babies in the utero. ppl swear by it.... so I have doing hifgh protein too for the last 2-3 weeks.... maybe?!!!!!!!!! Grow my loves!! Hit ur 4lb goal mama has for u....
We got sent home again yay, but we see MFM again Tuesday mainly bc Monday she is not in the office... she says im compliant and don't miss an appointment so for now she is ok seeing me twice a week in office with their stable progress, but be prepare that that could change. We have been lucky that babies improved just so slightly for mama.....
i passed my sugar test... so tip... don't eat for 12 hours before and 1 hour before u drink that thing I ate 2 eggs and a glass of whole
This is a 3D of baby A only. Bc baby B was not in a good position to take a 3D. also not the best pix bc there were stuff blocking half her face but u can still see those cheekies and nose and eyes!!
