Re: IF Check-in Week of 12/5
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Round ligament pain, "stretching" feelings, carpel tunnel syndrome, difficulty sleeping, and crazy intense dreams that sometimes become nightmares. My headaches seem to be improving now thankfully!
3. When is your next appointment? Not until 12/29, eek.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I feel like my 1st trimester symptoms went away and now that I'm in 2nd trimester I have even more symptoms! Sheesh. The round ligament pain is AWFUL. Anyone else experiencing this? Had my prenatal appointment last week and my OB assured me that everything is fine and that it's normal, should come and go, but man that stuff hurts. I've also now developed carpel tunnel and have to wear wrist splints to bed so that I don't wake up with numb/tingly fingers. Sleep has been difficult this week, even with my awesome snoogle. On a positive note though I'm loving my baby bump! I haven't told my clients at work yet that I'm pregnant (and don't plan to until January if I can hide it that long) so I'm still wearing baggy stuff to work, but I'm rocking my bump on weekends!
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? This has been hard for me and something that's been on my mind lately, which is why I made it our QOTW. This is my first pregnancy so I'm trying to learn as much as I can about proper nutrition. I've been reading the What to Expect book and there are some pretty good lists in there with food and serving suggestions. I've realized that I have not been eating the right stuff nearly at all so I'm trying to get better now. Went grocery shopping over the weekend and bought plenty of protein, calcium, vitamin C, and whole grain foods. Even so, it's tough to stick to the daily recommendations each day, but I'm trying!

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Feeling better this week, but holy bloating!
3. When is your next appointment? 12/14. Standard prenatal visit plus results from my Panorama and NT scan.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: It's snowing today and I'm beyond words excited. I love snow in December (makes it feel like the holidays).
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? Horrific. I have survived to this point on cheese and carbs. I literally couldn't tolerate anything else. The past few days I've been better about getting protein, veggies and fruits in, but all I can say is thank goodness for the prenatal vitamin. The same happened with my first two.
12 weeks
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week?
Not as many. Headaches, insomnia, back/hip pain, sore boobs.
3. When is your next appointment?
Wednesday.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
I'm anxious now that my nausea and bloating have let up. I just can't wait to hear the heartbeat again.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point?
I don't obsess about it. I try to eat healthy and take my prenatals.
BFP Oct 2011 - DD born July 2012
TTC again since July 2014
First IUI 9/26/16: BFP!
EDD 6/19/2017
It's a girl!
Born 6/26/17, 9lb 5oz
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? I'm actually feeling pretty good this week so far. I even made it back to the gym this morning which I haven't done in weeks. Of course I felt like I hadn't worked out in a decade and could only do a run/walk combo but I guess it's better than nothing.
3. When is your next appointment? December 14th for a combined NT scan and appointment with my OB
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I made our Christmas card/pregnancy announcement this weekend and I love it. Our family has a tradition of having ornaments with our names on then so I have them for me and DH and our pets. So I clustered them all together on the tree with a clear ornament that had the ultrasound picture inside. I was worried you wouldn't really be able to tell what it was but it came out great! So excited.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? I have definitely not been doing well and have been stressing about it a bit. Last week after a stomach bug and then a lot of nausea I simply couldn't keep anything down, and before that it was all carbs and cheese (shout out @Elyse1384). But I finally got myself to the grocery store yesterday and am back on the cooking healthy train so I hope it will improve from here on out.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? More round ligament pain, difficultly sleeping (because I have to pee constantly and just generally uncomfortable). Extremely moody today - haha.
3. When is your next appointment? Dec 19th
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? I have sucked with eating healthy in the first trimester. Hopefully I can get back to meal planning/cooking and properly feeding myself. I've just been skipping meals (no appetite still), and just eating random things and out a lot. Not eating a bunch of junk but just lacking on the fruit/veggie/variety part.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? I never experienced the exhaustion that some have during the first trimester but I think it's starting to hit now. I feel like I could nap and still go to bed on time. The nausea is continuously getting better which I am grateful for.
3. When is your next appointment? It's not until December 16 and it will be my first one without an ultrasound.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I feel like I'm in that awkward stage where I have gained weight but it's not a definitive bump. I am ready to have the bump and not just look fat. I don't know if that makes sense to everyone else.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? I still am having food aversions to chicken and have been craving fast food. I went to the grocery store today and am determined to eat healthier. My prenatal vitamins are still a part of my food plan but I can do better with my choices.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? still no symptoms! My sleep has gotten way out of whack though. I only sleep maybe 2-3 hours at a time then I'm wide awake and staring at the ceiling until 5am. Hopefully this doesn't last long.
3. When is your next appointment? next Monday with my OB then Tuesday for my ultrasound and Sequential screen
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: I wish I could start to feel pregnant and enjoy it. I'm so nervous with having no symptoms that I feel like I can't relax and be happy. I feel like I'm falling into a slump. I stopped my progesterone on Saturday and pretty much had a breakdown about it. My clothes are definitely getting tighter but whether that's from my snacks or my baby I still don't know. Hopefully a good ultrasound and Christmas will lift my spirit.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? I'm worried but trying not to obsess. I started my pregnancy a little overweight and was told I should only gain 15-20lbs! What?! I've already gained like 6-7!! I've been making ok choices, lots of yogurt, celery and orange juice and of course 2-3 large tervis cups of water a day. The problem is when I wake up in the middle of the night now I'm so hungry. I just bought Jillian Michaels "Yeah Baby" book which has some good meal recipes and plans in it. Haven't read much but so far it seems helpful!
1. How far along are you?
11 Weeks 3Days
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week?
Nothing to crazy really tired and nausea. Throwing up about once a day.
3. When is your next appointment?
Thursday
4. Rants/Raves/Questions:
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point?
I actually work with a nutritionist who specializes in pregnancy and post partum. I asked her suggestion about what I should be getting in every day. Her advice was eat what you can in the first 12 weeks, once you get through that focus on healthy natural foods. I have been trying to eat lots of fresh things however carbs are life right now.
2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? Just tired. I have insomnia pre-pregnancy and it's gotten worse at times.
3. When is your next appointment? End of the month
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: A week away from my second trimester. I can't believe I've made it this far already.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point?
Doing my best to get better at it. I have a horrid sweet tooth that I was hoping would be tamed with pregnancy but nope that hasn't happened, lol. I'm sucking down all the water I can. I've been making an effort to bring fruits and veggies as my snack at work. I'm always open to suggestions.
I'm thinking I'm also going to start adding sexes as we find out what we're having

2. What symptoms are you experiencing this week? heartburn, headaches are new! fun.....
3. When is your next appointment? had one this morning... next up is cardiologist next week
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Rough week. Tested high risk from the first trimester screen yesterday and high risk for a small baby. So they ordered the NIPT immediately, but that takes a week (yay for knowing gender early? :-/). Saw the perinatologist today and it was a total waste of time, they didnt tell me anything i didnt already know via my OB (made me feel better about the new OB choice even tho I already love them). I was so excited after our awesome ultrasound on Friday and all around great news from the OB on friday, and then boom. :-(
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? TERRIBLE! I'm still have fairly frequent nausea, lots of indigestion making it difficult to eat normally. Trying to get those veggies in, but those killing me more than anything else. Still subsisting mostly on carbs and cheese.....

3. When is your next appointment? Last week in December for a standard 16 week appt.
4. Rants/Raves/Questions: Had my panorama blood draw on the 30th and results should arriving by next Wednesday, but I am pretty sure if they don't come tomorrow (Friday) I am going to lose my mind. My national board teaching results come this Saturday too...and 9 days until we move. A little too much anxiety. I feel like this month has the potential to be amazing or horrible and it is stressing me out.
QOTW: How is everyone doing with getting proper pregnancy nutrition at this point? I was much bettter about this with DS, but this time I am pretty much eating what I am craving (because it isn't super unhealthy). Cereal and pasta are the big ones right now. Fruits and vegetables have been pretty much nonexistent. It's too cold and they are not comfort foods.
