Christmas Announcements?

Any of us later June-ers (or others who haven't announced yet) planning to announce on Christmas?!

We won't be seeing any family this year- I'm working and they're about 1000 miles away, so I'm planning a gift announcement.

As of now it's kind of a combination of things I saw during some adorable reveals on YouTube... plan is to buy each family member (mom, dad, and we each have a brother) a "kid gift," like a kids golf set or kids cooking set and an order in which to open them. There will then be a box with a crochet blanket that I'm going to make with something to the tune of "for when I come to visit you..." and then a final gift with a sono pic and EDD. I want to be on the phone/facetime with my parents when they open it, but DH wants his to open it and then call us.

Anyone else planning an x-mas reveal, either long distance or in person?

I didn't announce ON Christmas, but I did a Christmas-themed announcement on December 1st at 10 weeks. I had a "gift tag" with ribbon on my tummy, and it said "Do not Open until June 2017, Handle with Care!" and DF was kissing my belly. It was pretty well-received!

I posted this earlier in the announcing on thanksgiving thread.

Since we had our first appointment and my first ultrasound and I found out I'm farther along then what I thought, I just announced on Facebook. It has a caption that said Fry Number Four is DUE June 2017. Eek!!

We've told grandparents but are telling extended family Christmas Eve. We're also announcing gender (Grandma's can hardly wait!!).
We do a big family pic every year so I'm thinking we'll do the whole "Say...Lisa's pregnant!!!" instead of "Say Cheese!" thing and get it on video.
For gender we'all give the Grandma's a gift that gives it away and then watch the tears fall!!!

We've already told my parents we're expecting. We will know the sex by then though and I'll prb get pink or blue trees like this and have them see them when they visit us for Christmas

Our immediate families already know, but once we have our NIPT results back we are going to do a stocking announcement similar to @kassyfry but will use either a blue or pink stocking.

We are telling our twin boys on Christmas morning and I just can NOT wait.... my best friend has almost threatened me that I have to film it as she is dying to see their reactions.

We have new stocking hangers that spell peace. They keep asking why there is no stocking on the 'a' and we keep naming all the letters and who's stocking is hanging from it... they've already noticed it isn't complete so my idea is going to work perfectly. So on Christmas morning DS3 will have a stocking on the 'a' with some baby items in his stocking... just so excited to tell them!!!!

I ordered our Christmas cards yesterday (below). If everything looks good on our U/S on the 15th we will mail these out soon after. We then plan to post this image on Facebook on Christmas Eve(ish?). We've already told parents and close family. DH and I met when we lived in Maine, so LL Bean, Bean Boots are totally us

We already announced but we are letting the kids open a present at our Parent's house for Christmas for them all to find out the sex of the baby. I can't wait!

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I'll be sending out Christmas cards with the news. The card has 3 pictures on it with my son wearing a big brother shirt. We will also post the photo on facebook to announce too! Here's one of the pictures!

I'm due June 13th, and while I don't think we will wait all the way until Christmas to announce (it's already getting pretty obvious that #2 is on the way) we are hoping to wait long enough to do a Christmasy Facebook announcement. We didn't announce on social media at all with DS, so we are going to have a little fun with it this time around.
DH's side doesn't know yet at all, so we are planning to head over to his parents in the next week or two with DS in a "brother" shirt and see how long it takes for them to notice. I am usually only over there briefly to drop off or pick up DS (my MIL watches him one day a week to give my mom a break - we are so lucky that the grandmas are able to watch him while I work!) so she's only seen me in a coat for the past few weeks! Gotta hide that bump a little longer!

this is an idea I found on Pinterest. I'm making something similar and gifting it to my mil to announce for our Christmas dinner. We have been telling friends and siblings so a fair amount know already. But the moms, dad's aunts, uncles and cousins don't know yet. We chose to tell some right away for support and to just share in our happiness but to tell the rest of the family we wanted to wait until the 2nd ultrasound and it's 9 days before Christmas so Christmas announcement it is!! It's the first blood grand child in their family so it's a big deal. As for my family it's like the 8th grandchild and my dad step mom and her family don't know so I'm probably just going to call him. Haha. The facbook announcement I'm not sure but I want it Christmas themed and it will be announced as our rainbow baby. ❤

We are announcing on Christmas Eve and I'll be 15 weeks. At 15 weeks, baby is the size of an orange so we decided that when my stepson stands at dinner to say the prayer, he's going to hold an orange and talk about the traditions linked to oranges at Christmas time. It was something Saint Nicholas left inside stockings to symbolize gold and served as a snack for the less fortunate to not go hungry on that night. And then he'll "announce" why that orange holds a significance to us this Christmas! We found the cutest little saying for him to read and will be telling him the news the day before. I just wanted one more ultrasound given my history of early losses before telling everyone

We've told almost all our family/friends but not Facebook yet. Facebook will be a Disney announcement since we will be there next week.

I will be 13 weeks on Dec 22. We haven't told any extendes family yet. For mine and DH's grandparents we bought an ornament to put ultrasound picture in that says "our little gift" and that's how we will be announcing to family. On Dec 26 I will post a picture on facebook with my dogs and their toys that says "does this mean we have to share all of our toys?"

it is so strange that everyone knows and I feel like my belly has grown 3 sizes since we spilled the beans. Everyone is congratulating us and it's weird to not have to pretend we have no idea what they are talking about.

This was our Christmas announcement. It was intentionally not obvious that we were making an announcement, though; I made it look more like an advertisement for my best friend's small business (she is a graphic designer and artist and made a TON of custom calligraphy gift tags this year). People had to actually read the tags to get it (many didn't).

Announced we are expecting baby boy #2 on Christmas.
I actually found out before DH at an ultrasound. I kept it a secret until Christmas morning where I put a package in his stocking. "He or She what will our next baby be?" Followed by an ultrasound picture and Hersey bar with "he" colored in blue. It was adorable and my sister captured the sweetest video of him opening it!!! TOTALLY worth it!

We gave Christmas ornaments to our parents on Christmas morning to announce it. Both were double sided. The one for my folks said:
"Congratulations on the upcoming promotion... (reverse side) Grandparent position begins June 2017! Merry Christmas!"
Priceless reaction since no one suspected at all and this will be their first grandchild.
For his parents (we did a video chat) the ornament said:
"Grandbaby Scoreboard 2016, 4 boys vs. 4 girls (reverse side) Tiebreaker coming June 2017! Merry Christmas!"
My mil started bawling the moment she saw the word "grandbaby"! Lots of happy tears all around!
