I love my job. I love the people I work with. But I am beyond underpaid. The market is at least 50% higher right now and I could even push for more. I need the money with baby 2 on the way, but is it a bad time to look? Soon enough I'll show and odds are I won't get full benefits for leave.
Is anyone in the same boat?

While I don't love my specific job right now, I do LOVE my company and my benefits package is amazing. By the time baby comes, I should have enough vacation/sick time built up to take a full 12-weeks off - I seriously doubted that the other company could match that. Plus, at least where I am, most companies don't have to guarantee FMLA with under a year of service, so that factored in!
I think it really depends on what is most important to you - I hope you find an answer soon!

I usually "err" on the side of always finding new opportunities - so in your shoes, I would probably actively look. Then if offered a new job, fully evaluate the two situations to see if the combination of compensation plus time off plus whatever else is important to you, would make it worth leaving.
You say you love your job and coworkers - that's a pretty special combination that may be worth more than money and worth hanging onto during early motherhood days.
I could probably make more elsewhere but I love my job, my boss, and I have an amazing amount of flexibility. That's important for my family right now, so enough to keep me where I'm at.
That said, a 50% compensation increase is a big deal. If you are already financially comfortable, maybe you can forego it for security. If not, maybe it's worth the risk so you can save like mad over then next several months. Or at least use the new offer as leverage to negotiate with your current employer.
Lots to consider. Good luck!!

@Xath my office doesn't believe that to be a valid reason for a raise. I tried. I've gotten significant raises in the past but no employer gives 50%. And 15% won't help enough.
Should I wait to look during maternity leave or just go for it now and see what happens?
As for the original poster issue, I say go looking, and if you get offered something, you can compare the two then and make a fully informed decision. No harm in taking a look.

All of that said, it's different for me because I'm Canadian. I wouldn't be taking a 6 or 12 week leave but rather the standard 1 year maternity/paternal leave that our employment insurance offers. So it's a bit different getting a job, working for 7 months then taking an entire year off.
