Symptoms? my fatigue is starting to come back but I think that may be more related to a possible sinus infection and being sore form a root canal earlier this week.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I am counting down the days to my anatomy scan on the 13th, I am so excited to see LO in more detail.

GTKY: Happy first day of December! What is your favorite (and least favorite if anything) about this time of the year? favorite thing about this time of year is all the days off of work to spend time with family. I've always loved my nephews' Christmas program at school and next week DS1 will be in his first ever Christmas program.

My least favorite thing is being a grown up with responsibilities and vacation limitations. I grew up going to Mexico every year for 3-4 weeks and celebrating Christmas and New Years down there. Now as an adult it's been 4 years since I've been and that time was for 1 week only. I originally planned on going this year too, but now I need to save as much leave as possible for maternity leave.

Symptoms? I think I might finally be getting some energy back. I took a few days off around Thanksgiving, and that seems to have given me a little boost!

Rant/Rave/Questions? @mcvgal - I've got my anatomy scan the same day and I can't wait, either! Hope yours goes well! I haven't had an u/s since the initial dating one at 6 weeks. I wanna see this little booger's face!

GTKY: Happy first day of December! What is your favorite (and least favorite if anything) about this time of the year? My favorite and least favorite are the same - Christmas! I love celebrating with family, but I hate all of the stress that goes along with it. I love how Christmas trees and decorations look and feel in the house, but I hate the time and energy it takes to get them up!

Appointments this week? Nope

Symptoms? Actually doing pretty good. My sciatica seems to have eased up a bit, which I'm grateful for. I think baby is finally popping out of my pelvis more. I can definitely feel my uterus at all times now, which is really exciting.

Rant/Rave/Questions? Not that I can think of right now.

GTKY: Happy first day of December! What is your favorite (and least favorite if anything) about this time of the year? I love everything about the holidays! Spending time with family is a big one. Plus truffles! I make them, and lots of other goodies, every year for parties and to give as gifts. I always enjoy doing that.

Appointments this week? I had one earlier this week on Monday. Short routine checkup, but it went as well as it could.

Symptoms? Hardly anything anymore, finally! I have been feeling some fatigue again but not as bad as before. I do wonder if LO is going through a growth spurt, therefore my body is working harder to help it grow.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I finally have my anatomy scan scheduled in exactly 3 weeks. I'm super excited to see LO, find out the sex and know that everything is all right. I get so much anxiety that something will go wrong! I remember right before DD's anatomy scan, I was soooo nervous that I managed to trip up the stairs a couple times. DH had to hold my hands the rest of the way haha.

How far along are you? 17w1d (I'm always late to the check-ins!)

How big is baby? 5 inches

Appointments this week? Next week on Tuesday with my regular OBGYN. I'll have my anatomy scan with MFM (because I'm 35) on December 15th. Can't wait. I did the Harmony Test at 11 weeks and was low risk, but I'll feel even better after the anatomy scan!

Symptoms? Nausea but I've been able to decrease down from 4 to 3 Diclegis per day, so that's a good thing. I'm also not as tired lately.

GTKY: Happy first day of December! What is your favorite (and least favorite if anything) about this time of the year? Christmas lights and picking out tree at a choose and cut tree farm! I enjoy the smell and look of the real tree so much.

@march2008 Do you have a specific type of tree you usually cut? The last few years, we've done Fraser Fir, but we ended up picking out a Concolor this year (we generally just look for good shape), and it smelled like oranges for a few days! I love the color of Douglas Fir, but we haven't tried that kind yet. The Frasers last a long time, and I've heard Concolor last even longer, so that's neat.

Appointments this week? Blood work for me/ prayers please for DD- she has an eye appointment on Tuesday to determine why she has some weakness. Doc believes she may have some optic tumors (not cancerous) but could confirm a neurological genetic disorder.

Symptoms? Fatigue is still crazy but other then a growing belly I wouldn't know I was pregnant.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I am being guilted into throwing my sister a baby shower. She has a 2 yo girl and having the first boy (my parents has three daughters/ four granddaughters). I am against second showers especially since she had one just two years ago but since her husband is just getting back from a deployment my Mom feels we need to do it. Since my house is larger I got voluntold.

I love seeing my girls excitement for the season and their full belief of Christmas magic. I love the time off of work and the extra devoted family time. Rant/Rave/Questions?
The following is a long rave about how much I love my chiropractor.

I had a little headache on Monday and by yesterday the headache was bad to the point of it causing nausea. I was drinking an adequate amount of water, but it didn't help. So I scheduled an appointment with my chiropractor for this morning to get my neck adjusted since that has helped relieve headaches in the past. I am so happy I went to see my chiro because not only did he adjust my neck, he explained the cause behind pregnancy headaches and gave me stretches I can do to reduce neck and shoulder tension.

My chiropractor mentioned that some women who regularly see a chiropractor during pregnancy have shorter labors. Although, he wasn't sure there was concrete research to back that up. When I got home, I researched chiropractic care during pregnancy and sure enough there is not a lot of concrete evidence. However, the research that is out there suggests regular chiropractic care during pregnancy can shorter a women's labor and give pain relief throughout pregnancy. My chiropractor specializes in sports medicine and is really awesome. I realize not all chiropractors are good, but mine is great. If you're interested in chiropractic care during pregnancy I would consult your doctor first, then look into chiropractors with experience treating pregnant women.

My favorite thing about December is getting ready for Christmas and my husband's birthday, which is around Christmas. My least favorite thing is that finals are starting next week and it's a stressful time. However, once I get done with finals I can focus on Christmas more

@luckywife10 - aren't chiropractors the BEST?!? I starting seeing one during my third trimester with my son and I swear it made a huge difference during labor. Have you looked into pediatric chiro care? It sounds crazy but I swear it helps!!! Especially when they are newborns

My mom took me to a chiropractor when I was a baby because I had frequent ear infections. Those adjustments really helped me. I will definitely keep that in mind when my baby is born. @starphish18, the local tree farms here mostly have Frasier Firs so that's what we've been getting for the past few years that we've lived in NC. They are my favorite type! We have made it our tradition to go to a tree farm on Black Friday because I want to enjoy it for as long as possible and it lasts through New Years just fine.

Symptoms? Relatively few symptoms due to the LO, most are related to the cold I'm trying to kick

Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant -- Friday morning I put on a pair of my pre pregnancy jeans (that I've worn multiple times since, though usually with a button extender) and I couldn't find my extender anywhere...next thing I know, I'm throwing up in the kitchen sink. Needless to say I won't be wearing those jeans again anytime soon. Rave -- during the week I am a terrible lurker on this board. I always mean to respond but seem to get pulled away easily. My rave is that you ladies are always to understanding when I drop in on the weekends!

GTKY: Happy first day of December! What is your favorite (and least favorite if anything) about this time of the year? I love Christmas and all the family/friends gatherings! Plus the food and desserts are delicious!

PS: who ever mentioned egg less edible cookie dough from target a few weeks ago should be my new bff. It's wonderful!

not so bad now, though my SPD is, well, there, but very stable and still minor at this point.

Rant/Rave/Questions?
not a rant, but sort of a confession -- I had sushi (raw salmon) on Saturday and then got a bug or food poisoning that night. So...that was dumb. It wasn't actually that bad -- just lasted from about 9pm to 7am (and then I had to take it easy eating all day the next day) but it did have a consequence--I had to get someone to cover for me for a work thing Sunday morning. I hate owing favors.

I like being almost done with the semester! I do not like that there is so much to do, including my son's birthday. But it's all very fun when it gets done! I love spending time with family.

How far along are you? 15 weeks - hello bump!

How big is baby? Orange

Appointments this week? Nothing until the 21st

Symptoms? Definitely have my appetite back, which is good. Still feeling tired when I am out for several hours on my feet. I have noticed some pain on my right side in my lower back. I mainly feel it when bending down or getting up from the couch.

Rant/Rave/Questions? I told work last week so I am happy the cat is out of the bag, and I don't have to hide the bump anymore.

GTKY: I really love Christmas music - so does my husband. I don't know anyone else who does - we go all out and start listening in November. The crooners are my favorite!
