How far along are you? 38 weeks!
How big is baby? definitely the size of a baby now! forget this veggie/fruit scale, last week baby was estimated at 6 lb 9 oz and by the way I've been eating I wouldn't be surprised if she was over 7 lbs this week.
Appointments and weekly goings on? chiropractor on Monday, midwife and BPP on Tuesday, meeting up with my doula again after midwife visit and at some point I have to get this Echocardiogram done (every time I called to schedule I got a voicemail to hang up and call a new number- I stopped the relay game after 4 times!) and at some point I have to take DD2 to get a KUS as a follow up to a kidney infection she got over thanksgiving. fun times!
Symptoms or signs that labor is near? i'm hungry all the time, i'm exhausted, my hips are ripping in two, my boobs feel like they are going to burst and although the sacroiliac pain is lessened, now as i'm walking or standing my sciatic nerve randomly decides to send shooting pain through my hip and back and sometimes i end up on the ground.
R/R/Q? rave- i'm on maternity leave, hooray! can finally relax, get this house in order, start some Christmas shopping, and enjoy some time with the girls before we welcome LO. Rant- did i mention my sciatic nerve spontaneously putting me on the ground?
last night we went to DH's business Christmas party and i freaked a whole lot of people out by just keeling over at times. how embarrassing. then the president of his company (a woman) just dived in and gave me a full on belly molestation and i had to take it. at least i got some good food out of it! third rant- i'm completely fed up with this cardiac monitor they are making me wear- i took all of it off yesterday despite the fact that i'm supposed to wear it 24/7 (didn't want to wear it to the Christmas party), and the electrodes have given me a rash and blisters. it's caused me nothing but problems and i'm pretty sure they are just going to say the palpitations are nothing anyhow. debating about putting it back on today.
GTKY: What will you miss (if anything!) about being pregnant? the inside kicks and closeness i get to feel with baby. not having to worry about loosening my pants if i eat too much (aren't we all thinking that!). the good attention - not the randoms who use the belly as a conversation piece - but the excitement of friends, family and coworkers.

Appointments and weekly goings on? Appointment on Thursday, OB mentioned a cervical check this week, they haven't done one yet.

Lots of pressure and pain in my pelvis

GTKY: What will you miss (if anything!) about being pregnant?
I don't think I will miss anything. I'm more tired of people thinking they can say whatever they want to me. It'll probably be worse once baby is here though.
How far along are you? 38 weeks

Appointments and weekly goings on? OB tomorrow AM (with another NST and I should be getting a cervical check FINALLY) and chiropractor tomorrow after work if I don't get told I need to go to the hospital.
Symptoms or signs that labor is near? Pressure in my lower pelvis, swelling of the lady bits, occasional contractions. Still haven't lost my mucus plug that I have been aware of (but I'm a FTM and some of it may have come out without me noticing.)
R/R/Q? I probably should have done this earlier, but I'm checking on what I need from MD to get my breast pump through insurance. Kind of kicking myself for not having it done already. And if all goes well, my last day of work is this coming Friday (BIG rave!)
GTKY: What will you miss (if anything!) about being pregnant? Will miss feeling her move around in there and my DH talking/singing to the belly. I won't miss the heartburn, sciatica, trouble sleeping, and feeling like I need to pee every 15 minutes!

Appointments and weekly goings on? I have an ultrasound to check size because of GD, and a regular appointment tomorrow.
Symptoms or signs that labor is near? Nothing yet...
R/R/Q? I am ready, but also not ready, to have this baby.
GTKY: What will you miss (if anything!) about being pregnant? The random uterus parties! It's so cool when they move inside of you. I will miss that. And sleep. You know, the sleep I get in between peeing
It is still better than the obvious lack of sleep this newborn will be giving me very soon.

Weekly appointment on Tuesday morning...that's about it.
Symptoms or signs that labor is near?
I know labor is in the future but I don't know how "near" it is....have been having cramping on and off and I'm crazy nesting right now lol. Also feel like she's gotten a lot lower as she is constantly punching me in the bladder and when I sit down it's getting super uncomfortable because it feels like she's right there, if that makes any sense lol.
R/R/Q?
My rave is that I'm feeling pretty prepared....like I have everything in order and that mentally I'm ready for her to make her appearance whenever that may be. I'm officially on "babywatch" and go to bed every night with everything clean and in order (thank you nesting instinct lol) and a plan in the back of my mind in case I go into labor or my water breaks in the middle of the night like I did with my two boys.
My rant is that everything seems soooo much harder to do now a days, especially bending over. It feels like forever since I haven't had to find interesting new ways to pick stuff off the floor or trying to roll out of bed....that one's not only hard but my hips are taking a major beating lol.
GTKY: What will you miss (if anything!) about being pregnant?
Uh, not a whole lot lol. I'll miss feeling her move but then again, I'll have her in my arms and nothing can compete with that
