Ok I'll start. This morning I had a total hormonal freak out. Probably a 7 on 1-10 scale, not the worst, but still. DH was leaving to go work on our boat, his business depends on the boat and it won't start this morning. Not a good thing. I decided it was a good time to freak out about how the furniture his cousin is taking from us that we have now replaced with better storage solutions to prep for baby's arrival is just SITTING in the nursery and his cousin won't come get it because DH is not reminding him enough. A woman we know had her baby last night one month early, and I am starting to get pretty antsy about getting the room ready. Anyway long story short, I apologized and all is well but of course I compounded his stress about the boat and he has been SO GOOD about getting things done around the house over the past few months. I need to relax! Ugh.
Sooo I'm using the excuse that I have to sit and wait for our travel system to get delivered so I can be incredibly lazy all morning and perhaps the afternoon too. Because we all know if I start cleaning I just won't hear the door right? Totally doing this for my family today so we don't have to miss the shipment and take a drive to the post office... Cause that would be just so awful, so I better sit here a little longer, drink my tea and enjoy the sounds of my 3 year old playing nicely in the other room. Lol! A photo to show me hard at work today.
I purposely scheduled my most recent appt smack dab in the middle of the day so I could skip work today and then blamed it on midwife availability to my boss
I also gained 2 pounds per week this month because I got fast food at least twice a week. Oops.
I don't like reading birth stories. Or watching birthing videos. Or in general anything about giving birth. Ignorance is bliss for me. I feel like too many people love to talk about their horror stories, which just stress me out. I went in basically blind to the hospital with DD (no birth plan etc), and it went better than anything I could have ever dreamed/planned/read about.
So I had a horribly vivid nightmare last night related to the baby being okay. Normally the baby is kicking in the morning when I wake up, but he wasn't this morning. I begged DH talk to my tummy and help me rub it until the baby started kicking... which took an hour... thank god he's a patient man
bought myself belly butter from my amazon baby registry cuz my belly has been driving me crazy and it made me eligible for the free gift, which now can't wait for it to get here!
**TMI*** Ever since I told the OB I am not constipated at my appointment Tuesday (which was true then) my poop has been like a rabbit.....
I've also not had NEARLY enough water every day this week....it's my own damn fault.
I just realized today I can down an entire 24 ounce water bottle on a ten minute drive without even trying, I just drink absent mindedly. Maybe you can do what I plan to do: every time I am about to get in the car fill up my water bottle
@npaulie UGH that is the worst! I have horrible dreams like that all the time and then stress about baby not moving too.
-at my appointment last week my Midwife informed me that I've gained 9lbs since my last appointment 4 weeks ago!!! I think I OD'd on Thanksgiving guys.
Yep, I got the weight gain lecture too! Watching my daily diet a bit better now.
So DH and I have the same cold. He's dying and totally drugged up on cold meds. I don't think he's even noticed I'm sick, though to be fair, his symptoms seem worse than mine. Good thing he's not the pregnant one. ;-)
I'm glad I'm not alone!!! Fortunately I didn't get a lecture. My Midwife wasn't too worried about it- she said I hadn't gained any weight my previous 2 appointments and she fully expects to see that during the holidays.

Mine was also not tooforceful. She just told me to watch the sweets and that gaining 2 pounds per week for the next 4 months would be no bueno.
Glad I wasn't alone with the weight gain this time! My OB said "your weight gain is...ok... but have you been eating well and exercising regularly?" Ugh too much holiday indulgence here!
Sorry you all are hearing weight complaints from docs too! If you remember--I'm the one who shared my midwife said earliwr this week "wow, someone ate a lot of turkey" I usually workout 5 days a week, and eat so healthy lately I gross myself out ---> not sharing to boast, but to say that I think you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Obviously being semi-active and trying to eat healthy is good for you and baby, but no matter what you do certain bodies will gain more than others. I just keep reminding myself that in order for there to be an "average" weight gain there has to be people like me that are above the average.

I also lied to DH about something he asked me to look for at Target. It was for his co-worker, but I still lied.
