Re: Exercise/Fitness Check-In 12/2
2: How was your last week? pretty good workout wise. I got my 5 days (3 crossfit/lifting and 2 swim) on except today was botched at only 15 min of swimming as I didn't read the schedule and a group water class kicked me out which was a huge bummer but I'm going tomorrow instead. I have averaged between 12-15,000 steps a day too so doing well. Mentally I had a tough week though and still lots of throwing up and nausea
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Still aiming for 5 days of workouts
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? DH is watching DD today so I'm treating myself to a foot reflexology massage and pedicure and then I managed to find a gluten free gingetbread house kit so we will make that tonight!
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? my moods have been horrible the last two days so I need to get my shite together and do some yoga and meditation to get mentally back on track
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? every single day this week I have wanted to lie in bed after work instead of working out. But I tell myself if I can get on the car it will be better. Then if I can just get through 5 min and soon enough I am feeling better mentally and physically and happy to be there. Nothing helps my mood like working out. I also made an internal promise to have a fit pregnancy that I want to keep
1: How far along are you? 9wks 1 day
2: How was your last week? Blahhhh ... not so good most of the days except for one. I actually ran faster than I had in years... it was crazy
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Get as many work out days in as possible
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
5: Rants/Raves/Questions?
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? Thinking about my last pregnancy.
2: How was your last week? Terrible. So sick with MS and a sinus infection. I could barely get off the couch most of the week. I was a mess. My trainer is going to be so disappointed!
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I go back to the trainer on Wed. Hopefully I will feel better before then. Maybe enough to hop on the treadmill.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Sleeeeep
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so glad I told a bunch of my coworkers. Made explaining why I was absent 2 days in a row a lot easier. It was also nice to vent about my mom's >awesome< response to the baby names we chose (see "Why My Pregnant Self is Crying")!
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? Good question. Help.
2: How was your last week? The great was seeing a little baby on our ultrasound, complete with a good strong heartbeat! The bad was morning sickness and, in turn, not working out, and continuing my basically all-carb diet.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I'm going to try to go back to pilates - I think part of the reason I'm having trouble working out is that I'm not doing what works for me in my normal non-preggo life, i.e. doing pilates, which I love, first thing in the morning. I expect I won't be able to do everything in the class - technically, it's all fine during the first trimester, but I can't imagine short/long spine will be good for my nausea - but I'm hoping I can at least get some exercise in and try to go for walks on the off days.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? Sadly, probably continuing that all-carb diet.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? When do people start doing prenatal yoga? I've gone a couple times, but I feel self-conscious because everyone else seems to be at least 20 weeks!
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? This pregnancy makes me feel like apparently nothing!
BFP #1: 5/16
MMC at 8 weeks: 6/16
BFP #2: 10/16
Sweet baby boy arrived 7/7/17!
I'm really sluggish with my running right now but I truly feel better with aches and stiffness after I get moving.
I really crave a routine in my life, especially since I'm with DD most of the week so group fitness classes that I can plan are the best way for me to stay motivated.
Sorry I stink and was too lazy to copy the template.
@leilac You can definitely start now! I'm thinking of going next week. I think it's really just about teaching you modifications for regular yoga so that you are comfy.
2: How was your last week? I'm extremely tired and some mild nausea
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? My goal is to get to the gym twice. Or so something active at home if I don't get there.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments?
Honestly going is a treat, they have child care and I feel good while I'm there, it's just a pain to get there.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? It's just so much work to get myself ready, a toddler ready and go out in the cold. I also feel super sick after too.
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? Childcare!!
@leilac People usually start prenatal yoga in the 2nd and 3rd trimester but have you noticed it's usually super easy. If your already doing yoga it might be more beneficial for you to just make adjustments to a regular yoga class atleast for a couple more months. Also I would see about mommy and me yoga so your prepared with times after baby. I missed a lot bc I didn't realize who put on the classes and when they were.
2: How was your last week? Eh, not good. Didn't make it to crossfit the two days I intended but did a workout with our school group Tuesday. Tomorrow I am "running" a 5k with our schools Girls on the Run team. I've already told the group leader I'm not a huge runner and more there just to support the girls so they've paired me with a girl who doesn't run a ton. Hopefully we'll encourage each other to do a run/walk combo
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? Get through the 5k tomorrow...hopefully make it back to crossfit
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I am honestly too tired to think of an answer to this...I'm so tired I'm also really behind on TB
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? Pregnancy brain sucks...totally had something for this part and forgot it...
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? I just need to get myself to my crossfit gym. They're really supportive and encouraging so it helps me workout. However I haven't managed that lately...
2: How was your last week? Abysmal, nutrition- and exercise-wise. I have been so nauseous. Even though I haven't been vomiting, my appetite is gone, I'm not eating nearly enough, and when I do eat it's basically the BRAT diet. So many carbs, just like @leilac.
On the bright side, I did about 30 minutes of Pilates today. Aside from a long walk earlier this week, it was the only other time I've exercised.
3: What are your goals for the week ahead? I'd like for my nausea to go away and for my appetite to improve. And to try to do 3 Pilates workouts.
4: How are you going to treat yourself this week/celebrate your body and its accomplishments? I'm going to continue eating whatever feels right, which has mostly been bread and tea.
5: Rants/Raves/Questions? This entire post has basically been a rant. Sorry for being a downer.
6: GTKY: What keeps you motivated to work out when you least want to? Well, right now, nothing. I feel like shit.
