So very happy to get news from my big sis that she's finally pregnant! Hurray! That means that with both of us expecting and the girls already born, my folks will have 6 grandkids under 3. The last one out, mine, is due a week before the oldest granddaughter's 3rd birthday. How amazing is that? When it rains it pours.....

That sounds so exciting! Both mine and dh's siblings and friends are not having kids or are older so we have no babies the same age as our. It will be so much fun seeing them grow up together and develop different personalities.

Yeah I don't quite feel comfortable with all the boards rules and groups but atleast everyone seems nice and open to other opinions.

That's awesome and overwhelming sounding at the same time! How great that they'll all be so close as they grow up.

Don't sweat it too much about the rules. They're guidelines and I get why they exist but we also don't want to be a dull board.

Seriously, I am very excited for you, and your sister.

I would be sad though if someone was going through beta hell/limbo, or unexpected complications and the post got buried under a bunch of threads that could have gone under the already established ones. Because as excited as I am for you *tw* I will always be somebody who went through beta hell for weeks in a previous pregnancy and I always want to offer support to those who are going through it. That support means everything to the ladies who open up and ask for it. So, it's not about being a post natzi or trying to be hyper vigilant about "the rules". It's just some people trying to make sure we can offer support and or guidance if needed.

October 2015 didn't have these rules. I personally don't mind repeat posts. The really long ones are impossible to go through. What concerns me most is how divided we are about the topic of opening discussions, it keeps coming up as an issue. Kind of a shame IMO.

@plumpous, Does every BMB have exactly the same tone and atmosphere? I keep hearing people say "it wasn't this way on such and such a BMB", and I keep thinking it's not that BMB it's July17, why would it be the same. It reminds of people saying "at my old job" or "at my old school" all the time. It doesn't matter because we are at your new job or school. I run into the at "my old job" thing at work all the time. It starts to get old fast.

@Itsnotyourturn well it was more to explain that this is new to me and I need to get used to how this group does things. And naturally, every birth month is made up of different people, so the atmosphere is different. We actually had pretty nasty fights back then. Users got banned and they started a secret group. Yeah, pretty crazy.

May and June 15 went batshit and created their own site where they then posted about the "dumb things" people were posting on the birth months. It was so much entertainment for me to sit back and watch. Really don't care what anyone was doing with their internet time but MAN did it give me life.

And this was after we were all in a FB group together so most of us knew her real name. Then she was outed on the bump BMB because some people there were not in the FB group and had donated. And then people from other boards (Parenting) showed up to flame her and apparently someone tracked down her H and her inlaws and called them.

ETA And I'm not even sure that was the most insane thing that happened on May14, just the one we're most famous for.

I was on May14 for a while, but left after some crazy lady went on and on about how c/s weren't really births and that we should celebrate "surgical extraction day" instead of birthdays for our kids since they weren't actually born. We have all different bmb show up for that one.

So I'm not quite as OG but on the November 15 we had a girl lead us on a massive soap opera of ridiculousness and being pretty heavy on insinuating wanting handouts, some people did some digging and she had no proof of pregnancy or a child anywhere.

Bannings galore on N15 too.

Yeah basically. The glider thread was different, but then it got resurrected after the theft, and Parenting flamed the shit out of May 14 for it. They deserved it (saying they because I was in M14, but didn't personally participate in that thread).
